Just the right place to enjoy the landscape with a glass of wine after the wonderful hike around Lake Mattmark.

Didn't get a chance to try the food as we were late and the kitchen was closed. It was very windy outside to wait for our bus which was scheduled after 40 minutes. However a lovely staff member who was closing the restaurant offered us to drop at saas almagell town in her car. Thanks to her we had a lovely evening that day. :)

Magnificent place Charged with history Parking spaces Starts for small and long hikes. Warm restaurant. With very pleasant staff. On the lower floor, you can watch a film about the dam: its construction and the history of the valley.

A superb place which reminds us of the drama of the construction site.

Despite the bad weather, the restaurant was well attended. The soup of the day was delicious and the Mattmarkt plate was also fine. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We'd love to come back.

Half of the tables in the restaurant are reserved, the rest are occupied. New guests therefore have no space. Of course there is no information, you could perhaps have come a little later if you had known how long the reservation would last. Consequence: The Valais restaurateurs are still doing much too well!

In this restaurant you can have a good drink and enjoy the mighty Mattmark or the wonderful view towards Saas Almagell.

You can expect more from a restaurant in this fortunate location. The service is no more than average. The cleanliness on the terrace needs improvement. The dog bowl was not cleared away and there was dry dog ​​excrement under a table on the terrace. Men's toilet, is clean, but 1 of 2 faucets is defective. The blower for drying has no power. Lastly, the food: what we had, salmon plates and beef kapatischio were acceptable.

Located below the Mattmark dam, at the very end of the Saas Valley. Easy to reach by car.

We sat on the terrace at the only clean table. After waiting for 10 minutes, we politely asked if there was self-service here. We weren't even greeted by either person behind the buffet. We didn't get an answer to our question. Both women preferred to chat together. Very unfriendly staff. After waiting another 10 minutes we left without consuming anything. Another restaurant in the village was happy to take our money.

Fantastically beautiful area. Lovely walk around the reservoir. Other routes also possible. Great views of the lake, valley and glaciers.

Great view Price-performance is right

The wine spaghetti was soaked in the wine sauce. Chicken breast with fresh vegetables, the menu should say with raw vegetables.

Very nice opportunity with a beautiful view in good weather. The restaurant is not large, so it quickly feels busy. The food is good and the employees are very friendly. Toilets are located 1 floor lower and in my experience (we go there at least once a year) are always clean.

The restaurant is located directly at the Mattmark dam and offers delicious menus and sweets. On the terrace you can enjoy a great view of the reservoir and the surrounding mountains. However, it is also possible to take a seat indoors if the weather doesn't cooperate.

Beautiful lake and the film that is shown (free) in the visitor center is also definitely worth it. You can walk around it leisurely, but a combination with the glacier walk from Felsin is also definitely worthwhile.

Dam easily accessible by post bus. Tour of the lake on foot in 2 hours 10 without breaks, possibility of seeing marmots, with a little luck and observation

Nice mountain restaurant right next to the dam. 4 stars because of the staff. We have rarely been so ignored. Even all the waving was of no use.

Staff seemed extremely stressed, no one greeted us after waiting 10 minutes and we left without having enjoyed anything.

Beautiful rugged area with a lot of wind. Impressive film seen with harsh conditions for Italian workers. On August 30, 1965, the Allaling Glacier broke off and buried the residential barracks, killing more than 80 sleeping Italian workers.

Impossible to eat on a Saturday at 1:30 p.m., when a sporting event is taking place nearby. “we no longer serve”, obviously said with all the sympathy of a restaurant which has hours not suited to customers 🤷‍♂️

Very nice, fast staff and a great view of the reservoir. Fine ice cream sundaes and cheese slices. Try the soups.

It is a pity that such a nice located restaurant has some rude and badly mannered staff. May be an isolated incident but being polite when working with clients it's a 24h job. I have tried to pay by cards and none worked when the lady begun being rude as I was a thief. I explained her that I will go to the village and come back with cash but her attitude remained hostile. So much with the Valais hospitaly.

A must-visit attraction when you come to Saas-Fee You can taste coffee and apricot pie at a reasonable price. You can quickly get there by taking post bus number 513 from Saas-Ground Post office and following the winding mountain road.

We drank our well-deserved Panache after a sweaty hike. Unfortunately there was no sign of the Citro. However, the service still helped. But the beer still didn't taste like Citro.

Nice modern restaurant and pleasant service. The lake is very beautiful but the mountains are just as beautiful. To see without much effort.

We ate here very well and inexpensively. The service was quick and flawless. If you want to be served quickly, this is definitely the right place for you. Walter K
