It was a gloomy day and my stomach was growling. I decided to take refuge in the welcoming warmth of a McDonald's. I ordered a Big Mac, my favorite sandwich, with fries and a Coke. The wait was unnerving. A horde of screaming customers and rowdy children invaded the place. Finally, my number was called. I took the tray and sat down on a greasy table. The first bite of the Big Mac was a disappointment. The bread was stale, the meat stringy and the sauce tasteless. The fries were soft and greasy, the Coca-Cola was out of gas. Everything gave off an air of sadness and abandonment. The experience at McDonald's was a culinary nightmare. A Big Mac that tasted like nothing, a chaotic atmosphere and the presence of an unpleasant odor: a trio of horrors that I will hardly forget. From that day on, I vowed to never set foot in a McDonald's again.

I only got a coffee so can't really give a full review. Was fairly quiet when I went. All ordered from the touch screen panel. Easy and got what I wanted. Good views across the lake.

We ordered 2 menus, upon delivery the food was cold and not consistent with the descriptions, the sandwiches were disastrously made in an obscene manner, the fanta was more than horrible I don't recommend it, in fact the first and last time I strongly advise against it horrible experience.

Despite being a fast food restaurant, the location is excellent. Stunning panorama. Excellent that there are also vegetarian burgers. Prices are much above average compared to McDonalds in other countries.

I went to get my takeaway dinner, after having spent an exorbitant amount of money on a few pieces, especially for two bottles of water for almost 5 francs, I waited about 15 minutes to collect my order, even though there was no one in line. part 2 people at the cafe service. I finally retire, take the bus and at the hotel I realize that there are no drinks. I try to call the number corresponding to the store and it doesn't work. I was forced to buy a bottle of water for 8 francs even though I had already paid almost 20 francs for water and cocacola. Very bad.

We visited this place whilst on holiday, I can't believe it's the first time I have ever been able to buy a McDonald's with a gluten free bun! Why oh why have McDonald's not offered this option in all the ones I have visited. I've never seen gluten free options offered in the UK or the USA. The staff here were also very helpful thank you. McDonald's are you listening we coeliacs could be spending our money with you, get your act together it's 2023 gluten free is not a fad for coeliacs, it's very real.

Informal environment with a historical touch in the center of Lugano. Good service and always good prices

I have been visiting this place since 2017, there are no changes, although the staff changes like gloves. For the management there is one thing, the most important thing is at the end of the year.

had breakfast 15 days ago and I must say that both the cappuccino and the croissant were good beyond our expectations

My goodness, what a show. Location aside (which in itself makes this McDonald's uniquely special), the staff was truly amazing. While I was drinking my coffee (one of the cheapest and best value for money in Lugano) my computer turned off for which I didn't have the European to Swiss adapter. having noticed my desperation, the manager and the other clerks went out of their way to solve my problem, all without neglecting any customer, and always with a smile. I recommend it to all MC and non-MC lovers. truly truly thank you from the bottom of my heart <3<3<3

Well..if you’re looking for something quite “affordable” to eat in Lugano, you know where to go. Not the cheapest McDonald in Europe, but it’s definitely the cheapest meal you can get in the neighbourhood. They have friendly staff and responsive customer service. But a suggestion though: take away your meal and enjoy it by the lakeside.

Very crowded place, slightly gloomy environment, cleanliness leaves a little to be desired, once the meal is finished no one comes to clean up the table. Sanitary facilities leave much to be desired, not cleaned frequently.

Too expensive in comparison with other countries

Although McDonald's dresses in silk, McDonald's stays. The fact that the multinational has appropriated a beautiful piece of porch does not improve the food, the coffee, or anything at all. Plus the prices are Swiss. Since the ice creams are not bad at all (because they don't make them), you can spend some time overlooking the lake, relaxing, and use the bathroom, which is the only reason that sometimes brings me to such a temple of bad eating.

Everything is very clean, they are very professional and available!! I recommend it 😇

We're talking about a McDonald's so I won't go into reviews about the food, but I have to say that it's one of the McDonald's places with the most beautiful view. Colonnade with direct view of Lake Lugano. Beautiful.

I got nervous because I paid 5.10 for a mc flurry on TWINT I waited half an hour I went to ask and the cashier told me that the payment didn't go through and they'll send me the money back tomorrow

Being a vegetarian, finding food in Europe is a bit challenging thing specially if you don't even eat egg. I found this McDonald's serving variety of veg burgers and decided to have one. I ordered spicy veggie along with fries and coke. This small meal was priced at 13.80chf which is approx 1300INR. The burger patty didn't have any kind of taste as it was kind of a plant based meat patty (vegan) and the sauce was not great too. For ketchup you need to pay 0.50chf extra i.e 55INR approx! Overall it wasn't that great experience but yes if you are in a hurry and lookimg for a decent meal at a decent price, you can go for it. The staff was very friendly and the service was real quick!

The first McDonald's where you can get food and drinks at your table. It also has a direct view of the lake. I can only recommend.

Rude staff, toilet bordering on indecency...so much for Switzerland

I have never met more rude staff. It seems like I forced them to work there. They always respond in a rude and annoyed way. The only valid one is Karin, for whom I feel deep regret in knowing how to work with certain crazy people.

Fantastic waitresses and employees, fast, professional and very friendly. Good taste, better than the Italian Mc's. Prices a little higher... but adequate.

The food is obviously that of Mc Donald's even if the menu is MUCH expanded compared to the Italian one, the place is nothing short of spectacular, you look up and see a marvel of frescoes, chandeliers, not to mention the outside overlooking the lake of Lugano.

A normal Macedoo. Unfortunately there are far too few vegetarian burgers and nuggets, so I practically never shop there. It's a shame, but most people look away and turn their heads off when animals are killed. Unfortunately there are only machines there for ordering, probably to optimize profits. But it is very well located by the lake a little away from the center.

For Switzerland, the prices are bearable

A stunning view from this McDonald’s terrace and an equally stunning not tasty meal. It’s the first time we’ve seen burnt coffee like this, not-so-good burgers, and it’s not good at all. Every time we passed by we bought ice cream and looked at the stunning view of the lake! By the way, prices are quite expensive for McDonald’s.

Were asked to leave the table because we only drank something and didn't eat. Then in the toilet, an employee knocked vigorously on the door and said I was taking too long. I looked at the clock and it was really only 1 minute at most! Very rude.

They have different products from ours but good ones. Very smiling and very fast staff

Food is as usual, ambience is great. Unfortunately, for no apparent reason, my friend was roughly touched and pushed away by security without being asked, which is not possible. This makes the ambience and the food uninteresting. We then threw it away because we no longer enjoyed it. This is why the overall rating is given the worst rating.

Less crowded than analogues in Italy. Service and cleanliness ok. A few steps from Villa Ciani. PS for Italian tourists: In Switzerland there is a fee for "white" parking spaces. The Blue ones are free for one hour, then the station must be vacated. The calculation of the time starts from the following fraction 30 (for example, if you park at 10.40, the calculation of 1 hour starts from 11.00 - therefore almost 1 hour and a half)

It’s a very pretty McDonald’s on the shores of Lake Como! However, the staff is not very welcoming, and even quite bitter. The meal is quite expensive... For the food, it's still fast food of course.

Now Mc Donald's is getting worse and worse....in Italy it has gotten a lot worse (not that it was extraordinary before)......and yet abroad it is not as bad as in Italy....in Spain for example it is not then bad...in America it's definitely good....in Switzerland it costs a lot but it's not bad...is it possible that only here it's so bad? Instead of spending money on all this advertising, why don't you do something to remedy this baseness of the products you use? Embarrassing....

Unless you want to be attacked or your day ruined, go to this branch. By far this is the worst mcdonalds branch I have ever been to, the most unsafe and unfriendly one too. Although I make sure to experience mcdonalds in every country I visit. Staff in this branch are very racist from the server to the waiter to the manager. First incident the ketchup and sauce that I ordered were missing, so I went back to grab them, but the server refused to give me and asked me to pay. She asked me about the receipt that she already took earlier. I had to speak to the manager to get the sauce and ketchup. The second incident happened when I finished my food and I make sure to clean my table and trashed all the wrapping papers and bags in the trash designated area and left mcdonalds and I was already walking in the street, one of the waiters followed me his name is Fredric and attacked me verbally in the middle of the street calling me bad person. I asked him why? What did I do? He then left walking back to mcdonalds. I went back and reported that to Antony the manager, he asked me to point out to Fredric and and asked him why he did that? Fredric claimed that I spilled the drink on the floor before I left! I asked the manager to check the cameras because I did not do it. He then simply started to apologies.

Suggestive lake view, very kind staff. The food is Mac's, no surprises. If you like that kind of food, an excellent, relatively cheap solution in Lugano for a quick meal. The birds outside will try to eat with you, constantly :))

Usual food, nothing to say. The only flaw was that they didn't bring everything we ordered. We went to find someone to tell them and they brought the missing salad and then we realized that the cutlery was also missing. So I would say that the service leaves something to be desired but the girls at the table get busy.....

It was my first time eating donuts from McD. I wish to give them a good rating in cooking such a small donut. I could finish it in one bite. Thenkshh...

I recommend you go, an excellent McDonald's located in the center of Lugano with a lake view, plus it has both indoor and outdoor seating, the food is always good and well looked after, the hygiene is not lacking, the tables are almost always clean as are the bathrooms. The sales assistants are very good and competent

Mc Do in Switzerland is not comparable to France, the raclette burger has nothing to do with a French raclette, a kind of white vinaigrette sauce accompanies the meat, but we don't care, we don't come for gastronomy, Mc Do Lugano has a magnificent terrace with a view of the lake, it's enchanting!

Its location is very convenient, close to the tourist attractions in Verona... Suitable for all family members and the prices are reasonable... There are indoor and outdoor seating... and the service is fast... The place is spacious. The indoor seating has tables on the ground floor as well as seating under the ground floor... Available In the bathroom there is a bidet..

I walked in and not knowing any English and not used to using a machine to order a staff guided me to the order counter. Between my English and theirs I got my order. What a beautiful view.

The quality is good and the service very fast and efficient. There are also some nice tables overlooking the lake which make even just a simple coffee a nice moment of break. Just talking about coffee, the espresso costs 1,- (the lowest price ever seen in Switzerland) and the double espresso 2,- while the sandwiches are a little less cheap.

Has a lot of noise on the weekend and everything is fine
