McDonald's in Münchenstein

In a surprising twist to my culinary travels, I found myself in the depths of fast food, specifically McDonald's, an establishment known more for its efficiency than its exquisiteness. But let's retrace the gastronomic journey I took step by step. It started with a salad that tried to bring freshness and variety to its humble bowl. The crisp leaves, accompanied by a selection of vegetables, were gracefully coated in a light, yet somewhat industrial-looking dressing. It was a refreshing start, although without the sophisticated touch one might expect in higher gastronomic circles. The second course, a burger, was the centerpiece of the menu. The bun, soft and slightly sweet, encased a juicy meat patty that was served with a selection of sides and sauces. Despite its mass production, the burger managed to retain a certain rusticity, an echo of traditional American cuisine, albeit without the depth and complexity that a true gourmet would demand. The fries, served as a third course, were a prime example of the pursuit the perfect balance between crispy and soft. Golden and salty, they wore a dress of fat that, while undoubtedly pleasing the palate, nevertheless left the craving for a finer, less predictable texture. A sweet finale was the apple turnover, an attempt at home cooking in a fast food context to reinterpret. The filling, sweet and cinnamon, encased in a crunchy dough, offered a touch of comfort, although the subtle notes of real craftsmanship were missed. Last but not least, the menu was accompanied by a glass of Cola, that ubiquitous drink that, although worldwide celebrated for its consistency, in such a culinary context represents little more than a sweet, sparkling accompaniment. Overall, my visit to McDonald's was a fascinating departure from the usual haute cuisine. It was a demonstration of the democratization of food, a journey through the highs and lows of fast food cuisine that, while never reaching the pinnacles of gastronomic excellence, nonetheless offered a unique and unforgettable experience.

Top McDonald, best ever. Very good location, right at the roundabout, next to MfK Münchenstein, lots of parking spaces. 2 floors with a large covered terrace. Very clean, friendly and very modern, touchscreen toilet door opener. Cell phone charging stations on some tables.

I had all small fries, only about 3cm or 4cm, some broken. Normally they are rather elongated. You could eat them, but a bit unusual, they looked like leftovers.

We went to order inside and ordered 4 burgers. First of all, they are regular burgers, which are actually made again and again, i.e. cheeseburgers, chicken and fish. So nothing out of the ordinary where you would have had to defrost it or get it extra or something like that. We were 4th in the pickup area. Two more came after us and they even had their order before us. We had to wait forever and the order was ready in the back for 15-20 minutes. Since the McDonald's was rebuilt, the food, vibe, staff and also friendliness and motivation have died with the old Mc. Also no Mc Flurrys! And the food tastes like nothing. But hey, you can't expect more from a McDonald's.

It's a shame, there were 7 of us and each person was always missing something. After the third time I got a bit angry and then told the manager that something was missing again. I don't know whether they simply can't read in Münchenstein or whether they like to run. Maybe they don't feel like working, which is a shame. The donut was still frozen. I ordered an iced tea without ice and my friend ordered a Cola with ice and we got iced tea with ice and Cola without ice, then nuggets were missing I also work in the catering industry and there wasn't much going on at all. That's really a pity. It's a shame that the manager in Kaiseraugst and the team are much friendlier and the Mc is much better. It's a shame that it's not open that long.

The super fast service was first class. There is a terrace upstairs where you can also eat al fresco. Inside there are two floors: one at the entrance and one upstairs, where the terrace is also located. The toilets are extremely clean and hygienic, everything works contactless.

Nice Mc's. Food was always the same. Service was ok. I really like the architecture of the building.

McDrive is once again no use for anything. Every time they forget to put the sauce in the bag, even if it was expressly mentioned.

They offer an extra portion of fries when you order through the MyOrder app. That's really nice, but I would rather have one portion of fries cooked properly than two portions undercooked. One edible thing is better than two inedible ones.

Visited the Mc Donalds in Therwil again. As you can see in the photo, ordered a McCrispy Bacon! As a result, once again… received McCrispy without salad. It's a shame that competence is underplayed in this store! The latest technology for ordering is available and recently rebuilt, but it is not possible to carry out a simple order...

We queued twice for an order. The payment was made via the app and everything was ordered. We are really upset. The Happy Meal only contained a fish burger and a toy. We also didn't get any drinks. So we drove past again. Then the employee at the checkout was extremely bold and said that no more could be added. He couldn't understand anymore. Now that was stupid. But didn't give away what was missing. Although we mentioned several times that we queued a few minutes ago. Since we were at the 2nd roundabout and returned. Really disappointing...it happened several times. This is never addressed. Where is customer satisfaction?

Since the renovation, the quality of the food has noticeably increased. Great service and clean toilets. The upper floor was also successful.

It's a shame for the beautiful and modern renovation. Unfortunately, at Happy Meal you often don't get a current toy or they only have one of all the toys in the shop window for the entire theme time. Either the children always get the same clothes or even an older topic that is no longer relevant. The answer is always "Unfortunately we don't have any", then why put them in the shop window? Is fraud. The parents then have to calm the disappointed children and put up with the unfriendly employees. So much has happened to us, we will never go to this McDonald's again. I recommend that parents with their own children go to another McDonald's but not in Münchenstein.

Price desastres… today I paid 2.90.- a cheeseburgers & tonight it went up to 3.10.-…… in 240min !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You lost a customer tonight = greediness = loss customer straw = loss of money…

Dirty tables. Leftover food on the floor. Drink is delivered without lid and tube. Fries almost not salted.

Just MCD like everywhere else. It's consistent now. Everything is ok, even the waiting time is better than before.

I had another fun evening last night thanks to the employee at the counter (Patrick). Tonight I was at MC Drive Münchenstein with 3 colleagues and I have never been served as kindly as Patrick was today in my life, which is why I cannot understand or believe this review of Raquel Linares at all. I hope there will be more such friendly employees at MC soon.

I recently had the opportunity to visit McDonald's Münchenstein and I am happy to say that my experience there was excellent. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the friendly and efficient service by employee Patrick at the drive-in counter. Patrick stood out for his professional yet warm service. He greeted me with a bright smile and took my order precisely. His quick turnaround meant I didn't have to wait long, which is especially important at the drive-thru. The quality of the food was excellent, as usual from McDonald's. Fresh ingredients and delicious burgers ensured that I really enjoyed my meal. The team in the kitchen also did a good job. Overall, I can fully recommend McDonald's Münchenstein, and this is not least thanks to Patrick, who made my visit a thoroughly pleasant experience. His friendly manner and commitment to excellent service deserve recognition. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I read some negative comments here, which fortunately I can't understand. Modern McDonalds, well located, feels open around the clock, food of the usual quality. Many thanks also to Patrick for the great and uncomplicated service. I'd be happy to come back at any time.

I recently had an excellent experience at McDonald's in Münchenstein, especially the drive-thru service! As always, the food was delicious and freshly prepared. The fries were crispy, the burger was juicy and the selection of drinks was varied. But the highlight of this visit was the fast and efficient drive-thru service. My order was taken and served in no time and I was able to enjoy my meal in the comfort of my car. A special thanks to the friendly staff member Patrick, who processed my order with a smile and ensured everything was perfect. His professionalism and friendliness made my visit even more pleasant. McDonald's Münchenstein not only offers great food, but also great service, especially for those who want to use the drive-thru. I will gladly come again!

The employee Patrick (he wears glasses) was very rude and has 0 skills with customers. He claims you are lying and is unhelpful. The manager was very nice and accommodated me. Still, it wasn't a nice moment, especially when the employee (Patrick) felt like he had to talk to the customers and just play it cool. I hope they do something. Many thanks to the manager, but unfortunately he didn't listen to them when they said he should take a break and stop arguing with me. Very naughty experience.

Since the Therwil location is under renovation, I went here in Münchenstein. First I was served an iced tea, even though I ordered a Henniez Légère. I immediately pointed out the error. The correct one was then brought to me, but it wasn't cooled. Napkins were missing. In my experience, the team in Therwil is more trained/professional than in Münchenstein. But maybe that's just my feeling. The Homestyle Crispy Chicken Chargrill Bacon burger looked big in the picture, but when I received it it was a pretty small burger. For the whole 16.50 francs I think it's expensive. Anyway, I don't like McDonald's anymore. At other restaurants you can get a much higher quality burger for a similar price. For example the ZicZac in Allschwil or the Alpenblick restaurant in Passwang.

Only 1 water costs 4.20 fr. Bravo👍

I come here about twice a week and every time I get the wrong order! What don't you understand about “A Big Mac menu without cucumbers with Cola Zero and 2x patetoes sauce”??????? Either they make me regular cola, either no sauce or the burger with cucumber!!! Awkward

The new renovation at McDonald's was very successful. However, there is a lack of discipline when it comes to cleaning. The tables are not cleaned regularly and the stairwells and toilets are constantly dirty. If you want to occupy a table for eating, you have to clean it yourself. I was even forced to use the toilet paper in the toilet because it was wet. It would be desirable for McDonald's to address these cleaning issues and ensure that guests can eat in a clean environment.

Already the 3 times things were forgotten in the restaurant and drive or the wrong order was given! I came home instead of nuggets I had shrimp in it or a Big Mac was missing. Your employees can hardly speak any German, it's a shame!!! Will go somewhere else!

It’s a McDonalds. Actually a nice one and the staff are nice too. But it remains a McDonalds with McDonalds food. And it’s next to a busy street and a petrol station. All that and I’d still come again just because it’s very fast and convenient

The nicest McDonald's we've ever eaten at. Charging stations on the tables. The doors open with sensors, so you don't have to press any handles. Service was nice. The toilets were clean and the burgers were as fresh as I have rarely eaten them.

I'm really disappointed. I thought things would have gotten better after the renovation and new structure, but unfortunately not. The team simply can't manage to pack a decent order correctly. Sometimes something is always missing from my order. Today, August 27th, 2023, I thought I would try again and give your team a chance. But unfortunately I was disappointed once again. I received the order and checked it outside and saw that 1 to 2 products were missing where I paid. An employee (I think it was the manager) gave us the missing products and apologized. When we got home we realized that even the burgers weren't made correctly....... and and and. That's true for the last time Thanks for nothing

The staff was very friendly (ok, contact only takes place when the order is handed over...) and the furnishings were also ok. I don't like the design as much, but it's a matter of taste. My big criticism of McDonald's Switzerland (not the branch, they can't help it) is the massively reduced burgers such as Big Tasty. The big could be replaced with small. As a result, the price/performance ratio is no longer right, which you honestly already know when you go in.

The food is good as in any Swiss McDonald’s. The waiting times vary depending on how many people are queuing. So far I've always had to wait between 5 and 60 minutes. The interior is very nice and there is a balcony where you can smoke.

First of all we had to wait a long time for our food as it was a public holiday so it was an exceptional case. But after that the manager and employees came to ask if we were missing something and apologized for this situation. 👍👍

Good cuisine for an MC DO a stone's throw from the highway, large parking lot and covered terrace upstairs.

We've been sitting here for over 30 minutes waiting for 2 ice creams and a burger, which isn't even warm.

At peak times all parking spaces are full, there is not enough parking spaces for this kind of crowd. Something else that's a problem with all McDos, not just this one: the lids don't lift! They don't stay on it. I've already spilled a Coke on myself (I drank it without a Rörli through the small opening because I wasn't given one) and stupidly twice in the car! Once just on the floor, because I was hoping it would be safer on the floor, and once on the seat and across the floor, everything was full. I would say all the car cleaning will certainly do more harm to the environment than if you had prevented it with a good lid and buying new clothes is certainly more harmful than a plastic lid, something you could have easily prevented. I have also seen several times how the poor employees spill the drinks that they are supposed to bring to the tables. Sometimes they throw everything away along with wet food and put 50 strange strips on the floor to vacuum up. (Instead of cloths they have special giant stripes). 2 kilos of cloths can't seriously be more ecological than a good lid???? In the restaurant itself they don't use lids at all and then throw away 5 good (but wet) burgers just because the management prohibits virtual signals and plastic lids. It certainly helps the environment. Planning 15 minutes of working time every hour just for cleaning is brilliant.

No coffee cream or sugar, had to get it yourself. Coffee with a paper cup even though I wanted coffee cups. Coffee cups were all dirty, It's a shame there's nothing clean at McDonald's.

I once waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for a burger and then I went down to the checkout and the guy said I have to wait another 10 minutes and get the food myself. I don't understand how such staff run an MC branch

Simply ridiculous, the staff is incompetent and can't do anything. I once had to wait 35 minutes for my food and it's already the 3rd time they've poured out a drink.

Always check, they tend to forget :) Save money with sauce at home style. Otherwise tip top. Mc Drive Order n Pay is quick but ordering inside... well.. speed like in the 30s zone.

The restaurant is the dirtiest McDonald's I have ever seen. There is paper and leftover food on the floor everywhere. At first I thought it could happen, but it actually always happens. Yesterday, totally disgusting, dirty, sticky table... So I'll take the next one.... Same result. By the way, I've never seen anyone cleaning there either. Yesterday my menu was brought to my table after almost 20 minutes in a moderately busy restaurant. The Mc Tasty was cold, the drink was missing. He told me oops... He's bringing it to me. After I finished eating, I picked up my now completely stale Sprite from the counter. Mountains of rubbish were piled up on 2 tables because the rubbish bins had not been emptied.... Conclusion, after several visits I am now writing this review and awarding you the worst and filthiest MC in Europe that I have ever visited!!!!!

My personal last visit to Mac Münchstein. Even if this is actively used by young people between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m., the demands are probably focused differently. On Wednesday we had lunch there, it was a complete disaster. The staff was very unfriendly, the employee blamed the customers because everyone seemed to have given the wrong table number, many people who came after us got their food first, you don't have to understand, had to follow I got my own food in about 25 minutes. So no problem, I get it myself, sat down at the table again, then I realized I had the wrong burger on my tablet, the number was 234 but the burger would have been for 288. I called the employee and asked him to bring me the right burger, his answer was in an undertone, I didn't do anything wrong but I'm bringing you a new burger that I had to take with me, which means I was allowed to eat the burger cold because I had to work again. But it was great that the person with number 288 didn't get his burger because we got it, which means he definitely had to wait a long time to eat. The main thing is to blame the customers, the employees there are never to blame😤 thanks for nothing.

I went to Mc Donalds in Münchenstein and ordered a Big Mac menu (without cucumbers), a Fish Mac and a Chicken Mac for 25 francs. When the food finally came after more than 20 minutes, the mayonnaise and chicken burger that we had ordered were missing. The Big Mac, of course, had pickles and there wasn't a single napkin included. This is really embarrassing and bad. At the same time, a young employee tried to clear a puddle in front of the trash can, which he only managed to do somewhat successfully after some help from his colleague. How can you give him such a difficult task? Irresponsible! I have rarely seen so much unprofessionalism in one place.
