food is great every time when we order snacks. always sth different, and creative. the amosphere is very nice for groups, just gets you into an easygoing, positive mood. the service can be slightly grumpy, but in a sympathetic way.

Disrespect and too late to atend the Service, I claim for Email but they ignored me. I was with 15 person as a company, they were not ready for so many people, delayed and the mixed-up the orders, finally they did not have more deserts but I confirmed more than 2 week about the reservation. We spended more than 1500chf and i will not recomend the place again.

A Very enjoyable dinner. Nice atmosphere/ design inside the restaurant, which is a very pleasant surprise as it's within a underwhelming business complex. Staff are very friendly. A few service hick ups here and there from one guy but nothing major. The food was really good. Even the salt they serve tastes great ;-). Meat was sensational. One star deduction for the price and the minor service issues. I'd deduct only half, if I could.

From the moment I arrived at Meating I was greeted by a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive, which made the entire experience even more pleasant. The menu offered a variety of options, all of which sounded tempting. I finally decided on tartare and was not disappointed. The presentation was impeccable and every bite was a treat for the taste buds. The quality and freshness of the ingredients spoke for themselves and harmonized perfectly with the artfully balanced flavors. In addition to the great food, I have to highlight the stylish and comfortable ambience that rounded off the evening. “Meating” not only met my expectations, but far exceeded them. I look forward to returning in the near future and highly recommend this restaurant.

Such an amazing dining experience. The staff are simply the best. Very helpful with selecting my meal. I love that the me unis simple and direct, so incredibly easy to find exactly what you want. Staff are incredibly knowledgeable and make sure you're happy throughout your dining experience. The atmosphere is engaging and lively, but not overwhelming. The interactions between staff and customers is ongoing and convivial. Asparagus as a side dish? Sign me up! The food was delicious and I couldnt finish! So much food for the money (very American, I know)! Do yourself a favor and dine here as much as possible. Thanks to the staff for such a fun and tasty dining experience!!

Nice steak restaurant in Zug. A bit of an odd location as it’s nestled inside a commercial building. Once inside it’s a warm and friendly atmosphere. Good selection of meat and sides. Excellent chocolate cake desert. Expensive but hey it’s Switzerland.

A bit loud and the grill at the bar sometimes pulls into the dining area. Unless the anniversary is to be celebrated, definitely recommended!!

With a tour of the city, we were able to have a luxurious lunch here in the restaurant in a good atmosphere. There was something for every taste. The staff was friendly and relaxed. Highly recommended, would love to come again. 👍👍👍

If I was shown a restaurant today, I would never have thought of it. A little hidden and yet close to the train station. A top restaurant. Very nice welcome and you can tell the team is everyone for everyone. Fits perfectly. Service is the be-all and end-all and it’s true here. Very attentive and friendly. The boss can enjoy his vacation in peace :)

Always a good place to visit. Good food, people and ambiance.

There were four dishes to choose from at lunch. A vegetarian, a classic (meat bird like grandma's), an Asian curry dish and rack of lamb with green beans. The lamb was very tender and tasted delicious. The meat bird dish was very large and my colleague liked it so much that she took the leftovers home in a “doogy bag”. The service was quick, friendly and attentive. Prices on the high end, but it was worth it.

I did not eat there, so I can't say about the atmosphere. Food was really good. They work with TooGoodToGo, I like that. Personnel is kind👍️

The ambience is very nice. The food was great but the steak was not hot. It took us around one hour to receive our food… Editing: I went back, this time for lunch and had the burger. Definitely below expectations and expensive for what was offered. For a steakhouse, you should offer a better quality of burger patty.

Nice restaurant, good location for business meetings. However during the weekdays for lunch, make sure to make a reservation. It's recommended to do through their website. When entering the restaurant my reservation got a bit of a mix up, but Ramon was a star and made up for it immediatly. He has such a welcoming energy and gave me a tasty wine to compensate. Food was also great!

The menu was not tasty. There was meatloaf, jacket potatoes and spinach. The meatloaf was already pretty dry (1:30 p.m.) and the spinach was only lukewarm. The waiter was quite rude and treated me condescendingly. Unfortunately, this experience contradicts previous experiences when I had a very good meal there.

The lunch menu focuses on classics, burgers, veggies, specials, etc. For example, I had Schnipo as a classic. Good service, reasonable price.

We have been visiting Meating at irregular intervals for several years. The restaurant is our first choice if we want to enjoy fine dishes and hospitality. It's nice to see that the well-coordinated core team continues to work together so well.

Update June 25, 2021: Received a call from the manager who explained the situation and apologized. This is how guest relations work! Upgrade from 3 to 4 stars. Hopefully the 5th star will be given after the next visit. In the past it was always great, but yesterday's visit was more of a flop: the service was slow and inattentive and the piece of meat for almost 75 CHF was far away from the level of doneness ordered. Forgotten your craft during the Corona break? If it is better next time it will be 5 stars (pre-Corona level). 3 stars.

I've eaten steak in many places but this was by far the worst. After a wait of 55 minutes, we were served cold meat which was cooked to rare instead of medium-rare. Given the steep price, I expect more. Service staff were friendly but also too intrusive. Unfortunately, the noise in the restaurant was more comparable to a bar and not a restaurant. This was my first and last experience with this restaurant. For the price of 190.- a huge flop. Nevertheless, I wish you continued success.

A pleasure every time! The food is fresh and absolutely top notch. The staff was very attentive and friendly. The location is of course great in the middle of Zug! Nicely furnished, clean and easily accessible by public transport or car. I'm looking forward to the next visit :D

A few years ago, I wrote my review titled "Don't go there for lunch", my newest review should be called "Don't go there for dinner either", but I have good reasons for the title. Read on...The place is nice, the service is good. But the meat.... THE MEAT!!!! (which is the only reason for which you would go to a steakhouse) leaves a lot to be desired.I ordered a 350g ribeye steak medium rare. Normally this would be an amazing meal, but unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience.The steak wasn't 350 grams. I eat ribeyes on a regular basis, and I can pretty much tell the weight by the look of it, how long it takes me to eat it, and how full I feel afterwards. By my own calculations this steak was nowhere close to 350g, it was somewhere in the 250-280g range. And it was medium, not medium rare.For a Fr. 66 steak, I was really disappointed.It took me 4 years to return, I hope you learn from my mistakes and avoid an unpleasant experience.But, if you insist on going, bring a scale... just in case
