Mensa Rämibühl in Zürich

The cafeteria has dared to increase prices again. The price for a lunch menu that will hardly fill you up is now 9.90 francs. In general, the cafeteria is the biggest insolence I have encountered in my life. Their food tastes like they left it in the basement for 2 months and are now trying to save it. The prices in general aren't exactly any better either. Everything is overpriced and of poor quality. The staff consists of the rudest people I have ever met. Except for the new one, everyone is so unfriendly that I would like to punch them in the face. I don't go to the cafeteria often, but every time I go, I hate the place more. The only good thing is that they have a vegetarian menu. My suggestion: avoid the cafeteria at all costs. It cannot be that such an organization can continue to exist. I think rip-offs like this should be illegal

The food selection is poor, 1 "regular" main course that has almost always lactose or sauces of some sort and a combined vegetarian/vegan option that most kids would never eat (and from the pictures, it also looks very not inspiring). Our son is often stomach sick since he started to eat in that mensa (he suffers at home in the evening and goes to school anyways, so no is not an excuse). Is unacceptable that such a bad mensa is allowed in a well known school.

The cafeteria is a cafeteria like any other cafeteria and is actually good, but what scares me is that there are students there who are talking to a certain Ms. Yearling about crazy plans and that's not good for the people at the checkout. No German but otherwise I can't recommend it. This school is actually very nice, the cafeteria is also but it is underground, there is no sunlight and if you spend too long in it you become an alien because of the neuro plastic and then used you only have 10% of your brain and then industrialization has an impact on our society

Wait 20 minutes for rice and stress into the hour

I eat here every day because otherwise there is only fast food or even more expensive portions nearby. The portions are too small unless you eat like a small child, and if you politely ask the staff for more you will either be shot down or given very little more. The workers have no interest in life and for some reason save as much food as possible (so that it can be thrown away later). You often get 75% rice in a plate or pasta with a lot of sauce that is only enough for half the plate. They are also expensive (9-10 Fr.) for students and the balance of the menus is usually "unacceptable" or sometimes the next level up, "acceptable", which probably doesn't require such high standards. The cafeteria should be an organization that sells healthy and cheap food to students, instead of one that sells frozen (I've already looked at their kitchen in detail), unbalanced food and constant children's menus like schnitzel with fries, ketchup and mayo and broccoli, with that Aim to profit as much as possible. Recently I noticed little things: They try to put sugar-filled things everywhere in the way to the checkout. They gave out free chocolates with the portions for a few days so that the children could take it themselves in front of the checkout in the future, and they put so much sugar in their peach "salad" that it was significantly sweeter than jam and therefore inedible has become, probably with the aim of getting children addicted in some way. They recently reduced the amount of sugar in it, probably because I can't imagine even the smallest sugar eater would enjoy it, but it's still very sweet, even though I don't think fruits need any extra sugar.

Price performance ratio is terrible.

There are many snack bars in the area where you can get food that is a thousand times better quality for less money, e.g. E.g. Hot Pasta, Züri Bistro, Thai am Haldenbach, Tiny Sushi, Huber am Hottingerplatz, Vier Linden, Berner, Napule, Bellevue Pizza, Holy Cow, Metzgerei Reif, Apotheke, Tschingg, Sternengrill, Coop City, Kaimugbox and hundreds of other shops at HB and other places. The only reason to eat there is in case of an air raid alert. (Except of course for the cookies, they are really good)(P.S. the brown one is better!)

Had to wait 10 minutes for my chicken nuggets and fries. Then I only had 3 chicken nuggets instead of 5 and the fries were soft. An absolute disgrace!

Incredibly cheap food. After not eating cafeteria food for a year and a half because of the very expensive prices and disgusting food, I recently went out to eat there. My stomach was upset for a day. The prices are still rising. "But food prices are rising and we have staff, etc. etc." Question: Does Zuribistro in Zhb not pay rent? Are the 9 employees slaves? If you were to sell garbage for 6.60 I would be annoyed but would understand it but for 10CHF you get more food, better food AND cheaper food in the Haldenbacher Zuribistro. (With the 9er 2 stations up) The menu prices rise, a few weeks later there is a slushie machine. I'll never eat there again. The only good thing about the cafeteria is the black MAN who worked as a mask inspector lol.

Dark biscuits taste very good, fries are usually delicious. Staff mostly nice. The rest was too overpriced for me.

I've been at Rämibühl for 6 years and until recently I've never experienced anything like it. While getting coffee, I was accused of secretly having an extra shot of espresso. Otherwise the coffee cup wouldn't be as full. This wasn't the first time this has happened and I'm not the only one this has happened to. Once I even had to pay an additional 1.80fr - an absolute disgrace. The cafeteria manager himself accused me again today. Extreme unprofessionalism - the new management has never heard of friendly behavior. I strongly advise against going there. There is also an alternative to the cafeteria - the Russo grocery store.

Good food but prices keep rising. From time to time I also receive unfriendly comments from the workers. That's why I only give it 3 stars.
