Service was very brisk and bored. The floor was mopped while we were eating dessert. You want to eat the dessert in peace and without dust. You can mop at the end of the day or at certain times. Otherwise, very nice atmosphere and excellent food as usual from Café Merz 😉

The same prices as before the fire, with the difference that the offer was larger and you were served. Now you have to fetch and clear it yourself for the same money.

I took 2 sandwiches. 1n salmon, this was very good. 1nes with egg. The egg roll had 2x eggshells (about 7mm by 5mm in size) in the mix. I reported this back to the staff. For a roll that costs almost 5 francs, I would have expected more than just a “sorry”. I couldn't eat the bun anymore either.

In addition to the quality of the products, the store is very welcoming and well decorated and it is worth highlighting the extreme friendliness and professionalism of the employee, who at 7am serves people with a beautiful smile😊 very good. Thank you 😊

Bakery and confectionery products are very fine, somewhat in the higher price segment. Unfortunately, at lunchtime there are only pre-prepared menus that can be warmed up in the microwave. It used to be better when you could get something “real” at lunchtime.

Unfortunately, the Wiesental Merz has lost a lot of its cosiness and charm since the renovation. It looks bare and empty. The refrigerated display case is very loud and annoying. You can also hear very well what is being said at the bar. The staff is friendly and competent. However, I still have trouble being 41 (my husband is 51) and always being called by first names... this in Wiesental and Rosboden. All in all good, as the products are still very good.

The Wiesental-Merz has a great team that makes you forget about self-service. It is attentive, nimble and friendly. In any case, the daily guests feel comfortable and in good hands, even if they are elderly. For them, the Merz is motivation for a walk and an indispensable meeting place for a sociable coffee drink. The products are good, I like the range of breads.

I go to one of the Merz branches several times a week. Mostly in the Wiesental, but often also at the train station or in the city. The baked goods and confectionery are always fresh and delicious. I can also highly recommend Merz for snacks, salads and lunch dishes; I have almost always had good experiences here. The only bad experience so far in my 12 years in Chur: the pizza at Mühlbach (belongs to Merz) in the train station underpass is not recommended in my opinion - strange, artificial plastic aftertaste. Everything else is consistently good! In addition to the outstanding quality of the goods on offer, the staff is also great. Small talk is usually possible and always at least neutral, but often very friendly. Total feel-good factor. Corona has not left Merz unscathed and has prompted cost-cutting measures. However, I have always heard from the staff that jobs are being saved and that they are happy about how socially Merz is reacting to the crisis compared to other companies in this industry. I think that's great and I still have a good feeling about shopping there. Another tip for those looking to save money: you can buy baked goods at a cheaper price shortly before the store closes.
