Migros Restaurant in Mels

I come here from Zurich specifically for the delicious bratwurst with fries! We also have Migros restaurants here, but they are nowhere near as fine as the restaurant here in Sargans. Me and my family were 100% satisfied every time please keep doing it

Well, what can you say: you could do it better! I have visited this Migros restaurant in Pizolpark Mels/Sargans several times in the past few months. Overall, the food is of good, moderate to good quality, but the price-performance ratio is not right either (anymore?). Good! There is the classic "Olmabratwurst with onion sauce and fries" for around CHF 13.- or a breaded schnitzel with fries for around CHF 17.-... then you think: Well, that's actually still acceptable for mass-produced goods Order. But if you then add ketchup and mayo, which are at least as important to fries as onion sauce is to bratwurst, then you'll be blown away! For each mini-dose of ketchup (25ml capacity, although I doubted that recently!) they now want -.80 centimes!! Tell me, is it still okay?! CHF 2.40 extra for really essential sauces?! That's like charging for the cream sauce separately for cream schnitzel. Cheeky. Brazen. Pathetic. I've actually gotten to the point where I bought my own Heinz ketchup (it's available for CHF 5.65) at the supermarket (there's one next door) so that I can carry it with me in my backpack - you're really kidding someone else!! You also get ripped off when it comes to salad: 100 grams cost more than 3 francs, so with a normal-sized plate you can quickly get to CHF 20-30 per PLATE... for SALAD from the BUFFET!! Here the Coop next door is much fairer and more reasonable: CHF 15.95 per plate - that's customer orientation. How and what you want to combine. Also: Generally very greasy 'standard menus' and little variety - actually mainly fries, fries, a bit of fries for variety and then the bratwurst, the schnitzel or bland vegetables from the freezer (?). All in all: Unfortunately not a recommendation, but often the only and relatively no alternative option.

Food is good and has a good selection. Staff is very friendly.

Eat good! Relatively expensive for self-service! Beware of the restaurant manager taking counter measures. Complains about VAT. A strange bird!

Unfortunately, the food is not as good as in Chur (the taste is missing), the food from the bar to the cash register and the table is cold, a shame.

The orange juice is offered in an open glass and suggests that it is freshly squeezed. At the first sip it becomes immediately clear that it is cheap Päckli orange juice. For 4.80 CHF a huge impudence. In response to my complaint, the lady employed just shrugged her shoulders and said that if it were freshly pressed, then it would explicitly say "freshly pressed" next to it... In this case, you can no longer assume that the things in the Migros restaurant are fresh, if not explicitly "fresh." " is next to it? The salad and dessert don't say "freshly prepared" or "freshly baked" next to it...

Unfortunately my entrecote was tough as leather. But the chef was very nice, for that one star. Otherwise a disappointment. The fries are too salty!

Nice salad buffet... otherwise unfortunately always the same... Schnipo, Schnitzel, Entercote, Bratwurst... Relatively expensive for self-service.

Food could be better, the grilled chicken was old and dry. Not good at all, that's a shame.

My favorite Migros restaurant in the area! I particularly appreciate that the salad buffet and the lunch buffet can be combined because the price is calculated by weight and everything is the same price. Many dishes can be combined: meat, side dishes, salad, fruit... . Water is free. This makes it possible to eat a balanced meal for less than 10 francs. That's probably why there are so many pensioners here. Cooking yourself at home is probably more expensive.😉 Also, always very friendly service at the checkout! Tip at the buffet: glass noodle salad 🍜 - mmm fine. 😊

There is also a sufficient buffet in the afternoon to have something warm to eat. Some employees are very friendly.

We were in the restaurant today and ate for just under 63Fr.. the salad buffet was great, what can't be said about the meat dishes.. Entrecôte medium. I ordered the sole of a shoe and the vegetables were cold.. The older lady with the protective mask under the chin was eating behind the counter and the biggest no-go was throwing frozen fries in again that had already been in the deep fryer for a few minutes, and the worst thing is that the older lady showed it to the apprentice. If you're going to show an apprentice something, please do it correctly

Very weak selection of canapes...Could be more versatile and varied.It's a shame.

We were shocked to say the least! Safety distance is zero. Neither at the salad buffet nor at the checkout. And nobody cares. Old people who almost push you aside because they're in such a hurry. We will be eating out again next week at Calanda Park Chur. Everything is much more relaxed.

It was totally overcrowded and the outside seating was not accessible. Even though I said no vegetables, I was ignored. Not recommendable.

Migros Restaurant is nothing special but always good

Large Migros restaurant with a wide range of dishes. I really enjoy going to this restaurant. You can have dishes prepared directly from the menu or take them from the extensive buffet. Virtually no waiting times. Grill, warm food buffet, salad bar, cakes, drinks, baked goods to name just a few areas. Lots of space to eat in peace.

Bratwurst with fries and onion sauce is awesome (onion sauce). Otherwise very good and quick.

Good selection and cheap to eat

The menus taste very good. It is nicely seasoned and the portion is enough. Eating quickly at lunchtime works very well. The only drawback is that parking costs 1Fr each time.

Eaten roast with beans and gratin. The beans were very good, the gratin was just average, the roast was inedible. Price performance for self-service is not right.
