Mokhaao thai food in Morges

Really good location and buzzy atmosphere. We booked a table prior but two of our party could not make it, but the team were great and still provided us a big table. Food was excellent, recommend the duck red curry and prawn pad Thai. Service was also fast and food hot!(temperature) - great to see the full team of chefs in the open style kitchen concept. Would be great if they offered draught beer and a few more wine choices but overall this is about the food and we will definitely come back again with friends.

Pretty good food but waiters who happen to be masters of frustration. Arrived at 11:55, ordered 2 pad thai and a soup (there are three of us). The soup arrives 5 minutes later but the two Pad Thais take a long time to arrive, the people arriving after us being served one by one, I ask for the first time, I am told "it happens", 15 minutes later and still easily 10 numbers later served us, I ask again, always the same “it happens”. When I see another customer arriving at around 12:25 receiving a pad thai... I go back to the counter a 3rd time and point out the obvious... they forgot us. To add insult to injury, the waiter denies having forgotten us and repeats his "it happens, you have already received the soup".... nice thing to have received the soup. 50 minutes later, I received my pad thai... 10 minutes before my work meeting at 1:00 p.m.... thank you very much Mr. Bald, who I will now call "it's coming soon"

The really arrogant manager doesn't want to apologize for 30 minutes of waiting for 2 takeaway soups. You might as well eat it there!

typical menus of thailand restaurants in switzerland but they also have pad see ew that quite tasty (rarely see it in the other restaurants). when you ordered the mango sticky rice, they can warm up the rice for you. one drawback is they don't alert the allergies on the menus, so better ask before ordering because thailand food can use so many nuts in the cooking!

I have a problem with restaurateurs who put discount garnishes to save a few cents. It's such a shame, the sauces and meats are well prepared and excellent, to eat cheap rice put in a steamer, no need to go to a restaurant. Answer: speechless.

It's a shame that a few uneducated (yes, green curry is spicy...) or malicious reviews bring the overall rating down to 4.3 Was here twice, will definitely come back again - my son just tells me he wants to go there for his birthday dinner 😊 next Monday. I lived in Sydney for 12 years until recently, so am a bit spoiled for Asian food, especially since a close friend there is a bit of a fanatic about Thai food (hello Mat 👋) but was pleasantly surprised by the quality and the price level here. Great food & value for money, recommended!

A bit unusual hospitality concept (you order at the cash desk yourself, and the cooks bring your food to your table), but the food tastes great and the prices are also civilized, so all in all a very nice restaurant, I will surely come again.

I don't understand the comments that praise this place. Orders at the counter and you have to set/clear your table yourself. This passes for a cheap fast food but CHF 34,- for a shrimp soup (with literally 3 shrimps in it) and a chicken Laab is excessive. So I was expecting a great dish! Well no... I didn't find the authentic flavors of Thailand (one of my favorite cuisines). The dishes were oddly bland and the balance of flavors completely off at times. The welcome is fortunately friendly but for the rest, a big disappointment. I will not return there and can only recommend either a cheaper Thai restaurant or a gastronomic experience in a quality restaurant.

Very nice Thai restaurant right next to the train station. Many dishes are offered that you just have to order directly at the entrance. Then, all you have to do is grab your glasses and cutlery, sit down at a table and wait for the meal to be brought to the table! The food was very good, but be careful with the quantities that are provided. The tables are a little crowded, but the room is pleasant. Great experience that I recommend!

Commentary 2022: Excellent! Hearty and friendly service. The place is beautiful and spacious, we feel really comfortable. The only downside is the coffee machine which is a bit like a company cafeteria... a detail. The shrimp padthai are very good and very well served. Reasonable prices. I recommend this establishment!

Came back from Cannes from vacation on the way to Heidenheim - Had dinner here. What can we say- The best Thai food in a long time!! If the route takes us across Lake Geneva, we will definitely stop here again! Staff super friendly - unfortunately self-service. But not bad either

Don't trust recent non-objective negative reviews and let yourself be tempted by their different delicious dishes! Their curries are simply delicious, the Bamee tastes like you're coming back for more and the team is very welcoming. We have eaten there more than ten times and have never been disappointed. Go for it!

I ordered a Thai basil beef with Cantonese rice on site and without a drink. 24 chf. The dish was good but the quantity was ridiculous. It was definitely not worth the price. You must add rice at least 1.5 times the quantity or double it. I ended up buying myself a sandwich at the station. It's good to taste and nibble but I don't pay 24chf to still be hungry. Until they change the quantities I advise those who read this to go to Manira in Préverenges.

The staff is friendly. Concerning the food, the starters were good, but the soup with ravioli is too expensive, 12 chf for two ravioli in the soup with lots of vegetables I find exaggerated... The dish was a little light. Overall it was good but the prices are quite high.

It's not that bad, service not very friendly

Great discovery this Saturday at the beginning of the afternoon (2:00 p.m.), we stopped to taste their succulent Pad Thai! Positive point, the restaurant is open every day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. The kitchen is also open during this time, it serves you to eat at any time of the day, whether for a hearty meal or for a little hunger pangs. I highly recommend you try their Pad Thai once. The only downside is that you have to equip your table yourself, get a placemat, cutlery, a glass and a napkin, as if we were in a canteen.

Just tried it as takeaway, I think the quality is there - rice not too sticky, spring rolls ok, duck and chicken ok! It’s a proper Asian place where you can find a wide variety of things to try made with care. Not the cheapest but good meals. I would go back or try it again!

I regularly eat in this restaurant opposite the station (very convenient). I find the dishes very good, quite generous and not too expensive. And I love the decor. But if I give my opinion it is in relation to my last experience: problem with my card to pay, the machine refuses it. So I take out another card but unfortunately I'm missing 1fr on it to arrive at the exact amount. The person who served me made me pay 1fr less without asking any questions! I don't think I've ever seen that before and I was shocked at the kindness! From now on I will be one of the very loyal customers of this restaurant 😊😄

I noted that most of the positive reviews are left by Swiss, or Europeans that perhaps have not really tasted real Thai food.I am leaving an objective review here as an Asian that has been to Thailand numerous times and tried truly authentic, home cooked Thai food. Unfortunately, this restaurant does not reflect true Thai food standards. To start with, here are the plus points - The restaurant has a really bright, cosy ambience with an oriental touch - very convenient; right opposite morges gare. - it is also fair in terms of price, from 18-25 CHF, and appears popular with the teens/younger crowd. THE BAD: However the food quality really falls short. The phad thai has overwhelming amount of sweet black sauce, and the noodles are over cooked, and this is DEFINITELY not how proper a phad-thai it is done. - Likewise, whatever chicken mixed with rice and sweet sauce and vegetables that you see in the photo reviews left by others….There’s no such dish in Thailand. It seems to me that they are mixing up Chinese and Thai dishes and then calling it as Thai food. 😱 - The most shocking part is that the cooks are Thai themselves! How could they lower their standards to this extent??? I definitely expected more from this restaurant. - I had tried their food, not once; but twice. Each time I left disappointed. My guess is that they might have adapted the dishes to suit local palettes… but I sincerely cannot recommend this place if you are looking for authentic Thai dishes. It is not reflective of this country’s delicious cuisine. You will be much better off at Charm Thai which is another 10 minutes away from Morges. Edit: the owner of this restaurant claims without any substantial evidence that I am friends with charm Thai’s owner. LOL. I don’t even know the boss’s name; I am only recommending because I ate there before any know that they are better. I know that the restaurant will definitely respond to this review, and my challenge to them is this: Find a real Thai person to taste your food, and let them be the judge. The meal we ate was not very tasty. And rather tasteless for the duck… too expensive for the quality (21chf). My friend and I were disappointed after two dishes tested..

For 18.-, enjoy a crumb of fried meat with rice cubes, good app. I can't even take pictures for you, there was so much nothing on the plate. There was, however, an image of their dish that seemed correct, but this is what is more commonly called false advertising.

Very clean restaurant but with non-existent service: everything is self-service, the wait is long and the dishes lack flavor. In addition, there were 3 of us and we did not receive the dishes at the same time. Tip: go to the Macdo across the street.

Yesterday we got a dinner and my husband have show in the order medium spicy🌶🌶 for his dish (as always). We have received the orders and we're ready to eat BUT! His food was so much spicy!! Impossible to eat! Absolutely not possible to eat! He has ordered the same dish with the same spicy level before but this one was an exception - burning spicy! I went back the next day showed the dish and told my complaints but the so called cook lady did not agree with me. She was staburn and kept repeating that it was our fault! Just making conclusion from the situation...

Since it opened, I tried it on a number of occasions and I loved it each time. The pad thai is delicious and generous, the chicken skewers as well as the spring/summer rolls are tasty. I took some friends there and they loved it too. The take-away goes really quickly, I never had to wait and the staff is always nice!

I will back to try other menus. **Please comment in Thai. Ordered vermicelli salad today. It's not like vermicelli salad at all. The smell of garlic is very strong. You have to sit and remove the garlic. And I don't know what it's from. I'd like to reduce 1 star because I've ordered it 2 times and it's much more delicious than this time.

Delicious! Green curry, spicy as it should be. Not very good Thai (perhaps deserves 3 more shrimps). The spring rolls are also very good, but the vegetarian summer rolls could have a piece of tofu in them for example. Overall TOP we will return with pleasure!

We had a great time at Mokhaao in Morges, which is located a stone's throw from the station. Thai dishes are prepared in an open kitchen. The quality of the ingredients is high and fresh. The atmosphere of the restaurant is rather relaxed and a non-negligible point - the cleanliness of this place! We recommend it without hesitation.

Since the opening we have regularly ordered some 'pad thai' or 'red curry'. Fresh ingredients, with a beautiful open cuisine and friendly staff. Recommended :)
