Molino in Uster

I am once again very satisfied with my visit to Molino, my food tasted great!!!!! The service professionals are extremely friendly and helpful!!! I can recommend everyone to eat here.

The restaurant is a bit small/cramped, but the pizza was very good and the service was friendly.

I have been a customer here for 20 years now and will continue to be. The food is great, but the family friendliness is absolutely unbeatable! The staff enjoys children, they have always been given preferential treatment and it is possible to eat inexpensively and well with the whole family. Thanks and keep it up!

I went out for lunch with my italian family, we ordered a mozzarella di bufala and 3 pizzas. The pizzas were very good, we were very impressed with the quality of the ham, really delicious! The service was great as well, the staff is very welcoming. The restaurant is very clean and cozy. Will definitely be back soon to try new dishes!

The raspberry on the cheesecake is moldy. Please always check! We returned the first cheesecake and promptly received a second one as an apology. However, it was also moldy. Afterwards, all cheesecakes were removed from the display case. However, after the manager came, all the cheesecakes were put back in the display case, but without the moldy raspberry! (It was obvious that the raspberry had been removed because it was previously surrounded by berry sauce. Now there is a gap where the raspberry was in the middle of the remaining sauce on the cake slice.) As a final experience, we had to deal with the extremely unfriendly and cheeky manager. Overall, I strongly advise against visiting this restaurant. + The complaint at headquarters was handled very positively and competently by the responsible regional manager.

Few times have I eaten so well as here. Excellent quality raw materials, very fresh dairy products. The service was also excellent, fast and friendly.

Family evening. We took pizza, meat and fish. From service to food... all good. It's a shame about the (temporary but long-lasting) closure of the branch here in Uster.

Ordered half a liter of open house wine (Merlot grape). We were charged 5 glasses for 12 francs each. That's unfair.

The male service staff is so experienced that the work is done as if they were sleeping. So yawn slowly and as alert as after a night of drinking. I would particularly like to praise the female staff, quick and committed. The food is okay, but here too there is absolute routine. Not a bit better than any Italian restaurant, no room for a tiny individual touch or that certain something, a shame. When paying, it is advisable to look at the receipt carefully. I have experienced incorrect billing more than once. Ultimately, one has to say that the Molino in Uster has been holding its own for years. The prices are fair and the waiting time is okay. Sometimes that's enough.

The food was good, the waiter (presumably) was very friendly, accompanied us to the table, informed us whether everything was OK and was interested in our well-being. Unfortunately I have to give the waitress a negative review. She was somehow energized, after about 2 minutes she found out whether we had booked something out. We weren't ready a minute later the same game. Personally, I found it a bit intrusive. And when cleaning up she wanted to remove the plate even though there was still food 🥘 in it, which I found a bit rude. If the restaurant was full I would have had a little more understanding. My recommendation is aimed at the supervisor. The staff had a little more patience to teach. Overall it was good and no reason not to go

Employees ignore us and wander off and on. Service takes a long time and is not friendly either. Beer wasn't even cold. I can't recommend it!

Food good, rather high priced, service mixed; the male staff was consistently attentive, the female staff moody. I was accompanied, 70.- plus a few Rapoes on the bill, when paying in cash with 100.- rounded up to 75.-, the woman gave 2.-return, I say: "75.-", she gives it another 2.-, I say again ":75.-", she gives it another 2.-🤨, doesn't she know the money? I say "no 75 .-"It's finally working., there again yesterday, the woman ignores me, turns her back on me, so that kind of behavior isn't acceptable! I won't come back!

Not so good. So discretion is not taken into account here. This means that the person sitting next to you at the table hears all your conversations. Later it became loud and crowded. The service and food were okay.

Very good food, nice place to feel at home, good service... one of the waiters seemed unfriendly towards the guests because he was overtaxing them, otherwise the whole team was top notch and it was a pleasure and a successful break/meal is definitely highly recommended ....price/performance very 👍 gladly again!

Not even a shadow of the former hospitality and culinary skills. Pizzas were served cold, no insight from the staff was expected. The service is unfriendly and communication is rough, it's a shame I used to be a regular, but not anymore.

We couldn't order pizza (?sic!!!) there was an hour wait if we wanted some. I see very nice plates of pasta with seafood passing by, not finding anything that interests me more than that on the menu and since there is no pizza, I take pasta with seafood. The plate was so little served that it didn't even extend beyond the bottom of the plate. However, I had seen plates of very, very full seafood pasta pass by, “them”. The ice cream, there are two prices, I take the big portion, it wasn't that big, 5CHF more just for three scoops of ice cream instead of two, it's expensive to pay for just one more scoop without no more strawberry or cream material!!! A small carafe of sparkling water: 4CHF!!! And to finish, a limoncelo that's not really fresh in glasses that aren't even iced yet. Big disappointment for the 4 customers that we were. The bill is steep, however. We came here because we most often frequent the Molino in Zermatt, but it must be believed that not all establishments are equal. In addition, a noise, but a noise...!!! Not just because of the (large) number of customers, but the waiters add a noise of work, dishes, knocks, cutlery thrown, bowls/plates stacked with a crash... My God, but My God,.. .😭 On the other hand, the servers (in number) provide very good and efficient service. Too bad their work is wasted by modest dish content. If Molino is a good restaurant chain, this establishment is not up to par with the others that we know. It is quite obvious that we will not return to this one. Addition of 220CHF, and we leave frustrated.

Lemon shrimp risotto is my favorite meal on the entire planet.

As always, very satisfied with the Molino Team Uster. Friendly, good, fast and fair prices. Almost our second living room for years.

It used to be a good pizzeria. But yesterday evening was probably the last visit. As soon as we were at the table, the waitress came, handed us the menu and stood nervously by until we ordered. Having just eaten the pizza and the wine glass was still full, the very pushy waiter came and asked about dessert. It was very clear that they wanted to have the table free again as quickly as possible. All tables were marked as reserved, we observed a few times that this was not true at all. People came without a reservation and were then simply assigned a table. The pizza was mediocre but a bit expensive. All in all, a very nervous encounter. Pure profit center!

The service was sometimes a bit inattentive. But also very friendly and responsive to the child. Special requests for pizzas were no problem.

Very bad service. Tried to order three times in vain, but to no avail. Then we got up and went to the Chinese restaurant right across the street. Service like day and night, even though the restaurant was busy there too. The Molino was a huge disappointment.

Pizza was ok, the dough was a bit bland. The service employee had an expression on her face that revealed that she didn't feel like working. There is, but it's not professional. When she realized that we only ordered pizza and water, her mood was really bad. No bread, no spicy oil, nothing. At the neighboring table where starters were ordered, everything was made available. A pity.

A pleasant surprise, a corner of Italianity in Uster. I ordered a burrata pizza. Excellent pizza dough, perfect cooking, top quality ingredients. I often travel for work and I rarely find places of this level. Also to be appreciated is the fact that the types of pizza offered have not been adapted to local taste, but reflect the typical Italian tradition. The staff is very helpful and kind, the service fast. Compliments!

We had a delicious meal here and there is a large and well-marked selection of dishes for allergy sufferers as well as vegetarians and vegans. The service was a bit unfriendly and it's right on the street. But would still recommend it.

Worst Lasagne ever. We waited over half an hour for food in an empty restaurant and it was just smushy dough. I did not even eat half of it but still paid the price. I would never go again.

Unique in this world?????? Ordered Vitello Tonato and you can hardly believe it when you get this greyish sliced ​​meat garnished with capers, apples and onion rings without the sauce and when you asked where the sauce was, they told us THE SAUCE WAS UNDER THE MEAT, how to look for the sauce under the meat was a THIN FILM of sauce and of course we immediately ordered sauce which we got. The explanation is that every restaurant has its own style and that's why the sauce in Molino is under the meat "if you can find it." What sick brain came up with something like that???? I've eaten countless Vitello Tonnato in my life and I've never had to look for the sauce, especially since cooked roast veal usually looks a bit grayish if it's not straight from the stock and very fresh and still pink in the middle. The presentation alone is an absolute no-go, apart from the fact that you try to save on the sauce, obviously for CHF 34 There isn't much left for sauce per person, along with an estimated 160 grams of veal, but you can then order sauce straight away and study the gray plate of meat for a little longer. The service was nice and good, the taste was also good, there's not much to complain about but the idea Placing a small amount of sauce under the meat is such a sick idea...probably unique from Como to Sicily. Something like this could only come to the mind of a Spar manager at Migros Molino. My tip is to order the sauce first and then the meat. Or eat pizza or go somewhere else where they know how Vitello Tonato is served if so Vitello Tonato should be.

Complete mass processing.Bad service and loveless the whole thing.Then the price of a cola for Fr.6.-- beyond good and bad. Never again. The meal for the lunch plate for 20Fr was tasteless and the portion was too small.

Very tight on the terrace too. Service commented on our conversations. Tagliatelle portion was also very small and too expensive for us. Nevertheless, the desserts were very good. Tiramisù & pannacotta with frutti di Bosco. The pannettone was served with vanilla cream. 🌞

In terms of service and food, it's just wonderful, very friendly service team, very hospitable and the super fine food, big praise for d'chuchi and de chuchi chef and de abig ish super gsi. Very unfriendly service. Our bill amounted to 158 francs and we paid by card and we said 160 francs, then the very nice lady decided to enter 165 without us knowing. We noticed that she was also very unfriendly and wanted to get rid of us. After we left, I wanted to push the chairs and baby chair at the table. And she ripped the chair out of my hand. P.s. The food was ok but there wasn't enough on the plate for the price!!!

Price performance needs to be revised since the change of chef. Food was lukewarm-cold. Peas in the soup too hard. The service is friendly, but after the meal no one asked whether it was tasty.

You would actually expect that the chef at Molino would know how to test whether the osso buco has been braised enough. The osso buco that was presented to me was difficult to cut and it was simply impossible to chew. I have never been served such bad osso buco. I told the waitress exactly this; her reaction was a friendly smile without any other response or apology. She did not report this to the kitchen or her supervisor. The plate with the inedible osso buco remained with me. With such trained staff, the owner will probably have to apologize often and the high standards he strives for will remain a long way off. There is little point in setting high standards if the philosophy is not right. A philosophy and culture must be lived and not just written down on paper. I definitely won't eat at Molino again.

Unfortunately, I have to go through Google reviews because I can neither find an email address nor communicate my concerns to a service specialist. Unfortunately, tonight's dinner was a failure. In my opinion, the lasagna I ordered was *not* fresh and absolutely poorly reheated. I definitely do a better job of reheating it at home (without a microwave)… embarrassing, embarrassing. The service worker seems to have sensed the failure because she didn't ask how the food tasted. When I gathered all my courage (I don't like to complain very much and rarely) and I wanted to tell her that the kitchen didn't work well in my case, she ran away during my sentence... very, very bad, unprofessional and unsatisfactory treatment of customers ... 😱 At least the Cocacola tasted good... 👌🥤 In the future I will just walk past Molino again. The pizza is great but the staff is very unfriendly. We ordered a Coup Denmark with WARM CHOCOLATE SAUCE, we got a Melted Coup Denmark without sauce, then we pointed it out nicely and were insulted in Italian. Later we got COLD sauce from the tube. We'll just order the pizza home...

No sauces such as mayonese, keutchup, and unfriendly staff.

Bim very disappointed, the food was simply terrible, I ordered veal with lemon sauce, even though I said it was well fried because I was pregnant, the meat wasn't fried well. My mother's pizza was burnt, and the fish my father ordered wasn't good either. I left everything and still had to pay the full price. Last time here.

Poor quality and completely overpriced! The lasagne was tiny, so that not even my wife was nearly full, I would have needed 3 portions, and that for 27 CHF. My pizza was probably the worst pizza I've had in a long time, also small, and half of it was crust. I had ordered another glass of wine, the waiter said they only had Vino de Casa by the glass. It's usually ok in Italian restaurants, but this wine tasted like cooking wine and cost 9 CHF (for 1 dl!! House wine! and not at Paradeplatz in Zurich!). The service wasn't good either, the waiters are the opposite of warm and not attentive, pure handling. Worst Molino ever, we'll never come back!

Nice service. My tagliatelle were dry and it was a very small portion. Price performance is not right. In addition, one of my colleagues received a relatively cold pizza. After dinner no one came to ask if we wanted anything else. Although the service staff knew of our dissatisfaction, there was no compensation or any small redress. Me and my colleagues were in this restaurant for the last time!

The restaurant is located in the city center and is easily accessible on foot and by public transport. There are no free parking spaces for cars. There are enough paid parking spaces around the restaurant. We were greeted warmly and friendly. The operating staff was very attentive, friendly and prompt. The selection of pizzas is small, but there is something for every taste. You have the option to choose the pizza base and then personalize it with different ingredients. The quality and taste were ok. The prices for drinks, pizza and dessert are high (Icetea 33cl / 5.80 SFr.). In my opinion, the high pricing policy needs to be reconsidered. The toilet was clean.
