Montreux Jazz Café in Lac Léman (VD)

We had a pleasant stay. The rooms are spacious, bright and well equipped. The spa is a haven of peace and allows you to disconnect from everyday life, even with children! Nothing to complain about the restaurant and the quality of the breakfast. All this is only appreciable by the presence of welcoming, smiling and friendly staff. A big thank you to everyone. Definitely worth reviving.

A real palace, our favorite place when we come to Montreux. The rooms are spacious and functional with touches that please us. An excellent, very varied breakfast. We also enjoyed our time at the spa and the treatments.

“Just WOW” best describes our short vacation at the end of February. The entire team is very friendly and attentive. We were always treated courteously from start to finish. Our Signature Lake View Suite offered plenty of space and a great view of the lake. The balcony was perfect for coffee in the morning in the bright sunshine and we enjoyed room service in the room in the evening. The spa area is fantastic and here too, nothing was left to be desired. The pool is big enough for swimming and the various saunas were also great. We particularly enjoyed the infrared sauna. The 3 days were just pure relaxation and we were able to leave everyday life behind us. Thanks to the whole team!

Locale molto bello, personale professionale e impeccabile. Cucina molto curata.Molto piacevole la musica filodiffusa, anche se penso che in occasione del Jazz Festival ci sia musica dal vivo.

La ubicación en sí es realmente agradable, aunque un poco demasiado luminosa. . .La comida es normal para un lugar así. El entrante fue sushi de salmón (plato estrella), ahumado, que es bastante inusual y no me encantó. Pescado del plato principal, tampoco muy agradable. . así que en general no es un gran fan. El servicio fue amable y profesional.

Un repas pas trop mal mais rien d exceptionnel, déçu par rapport à nos attentes, personnels pas très sympa et parlant à peine français..

Wir haben reserviert und glücklicherweise auch einen Tisch bekommen. Wir empfehlen zu reservieren. Die Ambiente ist schön und die Gerichte sind sehr lecker. Man kann auch draußen Platz nehmen.

Très bon dîner, de l’entrée au dessert. Cevice de bar, filet de perche et cheesecake cake entre autres. Présentation parfait, dégustation excellente, assaisonnement et cuisson top !Service de qualité, agréable et professionnel.4 personnes, apéritif, entre plat dessert et 1 verre de vin 500€. Restaurant qui propose une très bonne cuisine. Service agréable, pour un palace cependant le lieu n'a rien d'exceptionnel mais vaut la peine d'être testé.Cheese cake excellent !

Schön eingerichtetes Zimmer mit vielen Bildern von Weltklasse-Musikern, die den Ort besuchten. Eine relativ kleine Auswahl an Gerichten, gute Qualität. Sehr freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal.

Der Ort ist sehr gut eingerichtet.Sobald wir uns gesetzt hatten, brachte uns der Kellner etwas Butter und Brot, sie waren sehr gut.Wir teilten uns einen Teller Foie Gras als Vorspeise und es war ausgezeichnet.Als Hauptgerichte hatten wir ein Tartar und ein Steak. Beide Teller waren sehr gut und die Portionen waren recht großzügig.Das Tartar war sehr lecker, das Steak war sehr gut gekocht und weich.Beide kamen mit Beilagen, Salat und Pommes.Zum Trinken hatten wir eine Flasche Champagner.Ich fand die Auswahl an Wein und Essen ausgezeichnet mit vielen Auswahlmöglichkeiten für alle Gaumen.Wir beendeten das Abendessen mit 2 Kaffees und 2 Spirituosen (begleitet von einigen kleinen Pralinen)Am Ende zahlten wir etwas mehr als 280 chf und ich fand es sehr vernünftig angesichts der Quantität und der Qualität des Essens und der Lage des Ortes.

Accueil parfait et le cadre magnifique ! La climatisation était un peu trop forte ! Burger végétarien toujours autant délicieux mais un peu moins goûteux que l’année passée et sauce en quantité restreinte !

wir bleiben in der Schweiz - so bereisen wir Montreux und annullierten unsere Reisepläne ....grad vorweg, leider ist es alles andere wie einfach - rechnen sie mit überall begrenzten angeboten, insbesondere betreffend der offenen lokalen gerade mo & di! was für ein glück das dies für das Jazz Café nicht zutrifft und wir geniessen einen tollen Abend. das lokal ist ohne speziellen dress code zugänglich. die eher laute Musik gehört zum Konzept wie der nahe wohl verrät, die Mitarbeiter überaus freundlich und hilfsbereit. wir bestellen fois gras und ceviche als Vorspeise die wir uns gerne teilen um beides zu probieren. die Küche überrascht uns - beide Vorspeisen kommen auf 2 Teller daher (sicher nur mit der aktuell reduzierten zahl an gästen möglich) und dafür bereits ein Sonderpunkt :-) als Hauptgang der saibling auf herrlichem lemongrasschaum/erbsenspargelmousse und eglifilet, beides lecker zubereitet mit würzigen Saucen im Kontrast zu der eher zurückhaltenden würze welche die Eigenaromen in den Vordergrund stellt. für ein 5* haus überraschen die grosszügigen Portionen., so werden zum eglifilet ein reichlicher vielfältiger Salat und Pommes gereicht. passende dazu aus der reichhaltigen karte ein calamin Vincent (Grand Crus Weißwein aus der Region) zu korrekten 75.-für den Standart des Lokals und die gebotene kulinarik und den sehr zuvorkommenden service im mondänen Montreux darf man sich über die preise nicht beklagen, ja sogar als korrekt bezeichnen und das lokal landet zurecht in der spitzenliga in Montreux .

Nous avons déjeuné en terrasse au Montreux Jazz café la semaine du 20 mai, soit pas longtemps après le "déconfinement" et à ma grande surprise aucun serveurs ne portait ne serait ce un masque, il y avait un gel désinfectant posé ou ils débarrassent assiettes ect sur une table sur la terrasse mais à aucun moment je n'ai vu quelqu'un se désinfecter les mains.Assez choquant quand même pour un établissement rattaché au Montreux Palace.Pour avoir du pain il a fallu attendre la fin du repas,personne ne venait nous en proposer c'était vraiment donné au compte-gouttes.Bref sans plus et assez déçue du service.

Das Café bietet eine umfangreiche Speisekarte mit unglaublich frischen Zutaten. Der Hamburger ist köstlich und eine große Auswahl an Weinen. Freundliches Personal und im schönen Montreux Palace Hotel. Ideal zum Mittag- oder Abendessen.

Lovely experience.. great to eat surrounded by so many lovely musical artifacts and memorabilia. The food is not super inventive but great quality and we enjoyed trying BB Kong’s favourite burger! Staff are friendly and the location is perfect.

Excellent dîner au Montreux Jazz Café.Originalité et qualité des mets sont au rendez vous dans une ambiance cool.Très bon service.Seul bémol, la carte des vins au verre.Nous avons goûté plusieurs vins rouges, tous de piètre qualité.Autant les vins suisses que d’ailleurs.Le sommelier pourrait vraiment mieux faire avec le nombre de bons domaines vaudois ou valaisans entourant Montreux.

Montreux is famous for its Jazz festival, this cafe is in the center of it, I had lunch recently, I find the food quite good, the service slow especially when asking for my bill and the price way too high

Für 14 Uhr hatten wir einen Tisch für den Besuch während des Weihnachtsmarkts gebucht. Idee war den Hightea hier einzunehmen. Leider wurde er erst ab 15 Uhr offeriert und wir hätten 1 Std warten sollen. Somit assen wir von der Karte - Club Sandwiche und Salat. War alles ok aber keine Offenbarung. Der Service war ok, für ein solches Haus jedoch nicht auf Zack.

This is hands down, the absolute best restaurant in the city of Montreux in general terms. All the food here tastes amazing, the menu changes according to the season, the wine selection is great and the passion and dedication with which their cocktails are made is simply incredible. All the staff are extremely friendly and the ambiance is just welcoming. A definite must visit.

Un agréable moment passé au Montreux Jazz Café. Bel assortiment de pâtisseries et sandwichs, un très bon rapport qualité/prix. Personnel attentionné, bonne ambiance. A refaire.

War heute zu Mittag vor Ort . das essen (ente & cheesecake) sowie die Getränke schmeckten gut. Das Service war aufmerksam / gut ... Einzig, ein wimziges Stück einer himbeere war schimmlig, deswegen nur 4 statt 5 Punkten ... Doe Cocktails der bar sind aber mindest ebenso empfehlenswert ...

Ich bin einmal hierher gekommen, um Kaffee zu trinken, nur um es mir anzusehen, und es war unglaublich. Ich bekam zwei Latte Macchiatos, aber sie servierten mir immer wieder Schokoladentrüffel. Sehr glücklich, entschied ich, dass ich Platz in meinem Budget machen musste, um hier zu essen.DAS WAR ES WERT. Der Service ist natürlich unglaublich. Das Gute ist absolut unglaublich. Begonnen mit warmem Brot, drei Sorten Butter und Tapenade. Dann wurde mir mein Pasta / Pesto Gericht serviert, was unglaublich war. Die Aromen von Essen und Wein waren so perfekt und glücklich (der Hauswein ist großartig). Obwohl vollgestopft, musste ich Nachtisch bekommen und war so glücklich, dass ich brauchte. Ich musste mich zurückhalten, in den Teller zu lecken. Mit meinem Scheck brachten sie mehr Schokoladentrüffel, was überwältigend war, weil ich wirklich keinen Platz mehr hatte.Ich habe zwei Mahlzeiten ausgelassen, um hier zu essen, und es war 65 CHF am Ende. Teuer, aber es lohnt sich (habe ich genug gesagt?)

Très bon service et bonne cuisine. Cette brasserie chic est une institution où tout le Montreux historique se retrouve, mélangé à la clientèle du Montreux Palace. Clientèle pas très jeune (pour rester sympa), ce n'est pas là que vous trouverez les Beautiful people de la ville. Mais on y mange très bien !

Was für eine tolle Überraschung! Tolle Stimmung, freundliches Personal und tolles Essen! ! Wir hatten die Kürbisravioli mit Pfifferlingen als Vorspeise und dann das Wildbret mit Kastanien. Lecker! ! !

Clearly a nice place, very cosy and quiet. We take a seasonal soup as starter, maybe a bit too big, but very good. As main course, I take a risotto and my colleague the pasta. Nice presentation. We drink a good Rioja. 55.- per person is not expensive for a palace restaurant.I recommand

Fica dentro do elegante hotel Fairmont mas os preços sao moderados para o padrão suíço, atendimento muito educado e eficiente. Comida boa incluindo paes e pates de entrada, pratos e sobremesa.

Endroit sympa avec un bar qui donne un air Bistronomique et décontracté. Nourriture bonne avec de bonne quantités. Le temps d'attente et de temps en temps un peu plus long mais ça varie des jours. J'y suis aller déjà plusieurs fois et j'y retournerai encore.

My husband took me to the Montreux Jazz Café for my birthday and it was an amazing evening.The setting is very cool and stylish, just look at the waiters 20s inspired shoes! The staff was very friendly, fast and attentive.And the food was just heaven! Do try the poke bowl with seasonal fresh fish!! The legendary Ella’s cheesecake is also a MUST HAVE- sooo delicious !

Menu com diversas opções deliciosas! O steak tartare preparado ao lado da mesa é fantástico. Os preços são um pouco acima da média local, mas o atendimento e o clima do restaurante tornam ele uma ótima escolha na cidade.

Wir kamen um 9 im Restaurant an. 30 Uhr und hatten das Glück, einen Tisch für zwei Personen zu bekommen. Das Essen und der Service waren großartig, der beste Ort, an dem wir in Montreux bei weitem gegessen haben. Sehr empfehlenswert.

Très mauvaise expérience lors d une sortie entre amis. A notre table, un plat aux influences « asiatiques »Dans plusieurs de nos plats, les crevettes étaient noires, et... farineuses.Malgré une réclamation, le plat nous a été resservi à l identique. Quant au cuisinier, pour lui tout était « normal ». On peut éventuellement se rater sur un plat mais pas sur une réclamation. Connaissant cet établissement de longue date, nous avons été pour le moins surpris. A l évidence, il y a au minimum des choses à revoir en cuisine. Vu les prix pratiqués ce n est pas admissible...

Nous y avons pris que l'apéro, cependant nous y avons passé un moment très agréable. Service compétant et très agréable. Belle carte de Bar. Nous y retournerons.

Service et cadre au top ! Cuisine au top de l'entrée au dessert. Le choix des vins pourrait être un peu plus bio et diversifié mais reste anecdotique avec une Top expérience

Während meiner drei Tage, in denen ich und mein Reisebegleiter Montreux besuchten, gingen wir dreimal ins Montreux Jazz Cafe. Ich denke, das zeigt, wie glücklich wir die erste Nacht waren. Ich habe viele Nahrungsmittelallergien und sie waren sehr zuvorkommend und hilfsbereit, um mir ein leckeres Abendessen zu servieren. Sogar mein Freund, der keine Allergien hat, war sehr beeindruckt von der Auswahl des Essens. Er hatte das Austern- und Steak-Tartar und war so glücklich, dass er es den Rest der Abende bestellte! Wenn ich jemals zurück bin, weiß ich, wo ich zum Abendessen gehe.

Lo cierto es que tenía muchísimas ganas de cenar en este mítico restaurante de Montreaux, pero me decepciono un poco. Cierto es que mi acompañante tuvo suerte en su elección para la cena, pero yo no tanto. Pedí una ensalada con gambas y me trajeron todos los ingredientes por separado :-( perdona pero para eso me la hago yo en mi casa... El precio, bastante caro. El servicio, atento pero los camarero estaban como muy estresados, no sé... lo único que me encantó sin remilgos fue la decoración,es una verdadera maravilla de local.

Only stopped for a cocktail whilst walking back to out hotel. We sat outside in the sunshine. Service was great, very friendly waitress. Cocktails arrived with a dish of nibbles. We had a look inside the restaurant and bar area where it is filled with memorabilia and fabulous photos and paintings. Well worth a look.

Celebrei o meu aniversário neste espaço e a experiência não podia ter sido melhor. Atendimento de excelência pela Filipa e o Horácio que me guiaram de forma sublime em todo o jantar, quer no menu, quer na carta de vinhos. Um regresso para breve!

I loved it here and all the music memorabilia and photos tastefully decorating the walls. I knew it was fine dining beforehand so expect it to be. The burger was one of the best I tasted. Impeccable service - a faultless experience I have to say and would definitely recommend having lunch and a few glasses of wine and just soak up the ambience.

Pretty place but a rip off for prices in comparison to the quality of food. Would prefer to eat a McDonald's meal thanks

During a break for a sport event, me, my wife and a friend decided to get a hamburger there. The presentation was gorgeous and food excellent along with drinks. Service very good and staff very nice. For sure, the quality and the position of this Cafe justify a quite high price level.

The restaurant is on the main street facing the lake. We went into the main restaurant and although welcomed were told that it was fully booked for Christmas lunch - it was certainly buzzing! However, we were told there was another small restaurant with a more simple menu next to the main restaurant. It was very comfortable and we found our choice of food was just what we wanted.

Choix à la carte ou plat du jour, de quoi satisfaire tous les goûts! Belle vue sur lac et montagne, service soigné et attentionné, tout est réuni pour passer un bon moment gourmand!

Une pause café bienvenue après une belle ballade au bord du lac. Un excellent café servi avec quelques mignardises délicieuses.

We visitited Montreux for Christmas, because we really like the town. Although we stayed at another hotel, we decided to have our Xmas dinner at Montreux Palace, without reservation. It was great- the food, the staff, the interior, music. It is a special treat. You sit there knowing that so many great musicians and artists have bern there too :)

The last time I was in Montreux, at this restaurant, it was a brasserie- I had cycled all the way from Geneva and was on my way to Fribourg. It was great to stop here again with friends, right across from the Montreux Jazz Festival venue/Miles Davis Hall-good quick food coupled by great service ...Ema Wilemmin, our waitress was particularly great, lovely ever present smile and sense of humour.

Location, servizio, offerta gastronomica, carta dei vini, tutto da 5 stelle.Le pietanze sono preparate con maestria e presentate con rigore.Nonostante fosse stra-pieno (durante il periodo Natalizio), il servizio, e soprattutto la qualità del cibo, non subiscono decadimenti.Quasi pronti per meritare una stella Michelin.I piatti signature sono da manuale, ma tutta la carta vale la pena di essere provata.Consigliatissimo.

Очень вкусно. И мясо, и гребешки. Единственный суп (за исключением детского супа дня) оказался достаточно острым. Но обслуживание нам показалось ну очень медленным ...И осень удивило, что джаз был только на фото и тв, но без звука ... т.е. джаз в ресторане не звучал совсем :(

service raffiné, plats simples mais bons, dommage que l'addition soit si haute, le décor est sympa, le rapport qualité prix n'est pas vraiment au RDV même si le service est vraiment au top.

I hated the food at the buffet during the conference but I really enjoyed this restaurant. Great experience. Highly recommended.

Had lunch here today with friends and choose the today’s menu at incredible value for money. Tagliatelle with gambas and a soup as a starter, only CHF 29 ( USD 29 )Imagine this is a 5 star hotel so the service in the restaurant comes at the same 5 star level.Don’t need to go somewhere else, you won’t find similar food and service quality at this value. At least for lunch.

Première visite (sans réservation) en début de soirée dans ce lieu mythique, accueil professionnel et sympathique, vestiaire et jolie table pour 2.A peine assis, nous subissons les assauts de notre serveur attitré qui nous aura gâché la soirée tellement il semblait pressé d'expédier son service. Ni aimable ni souriant, propositions mécaniques, le monsieur n'avait apparemment pas de temps à perdre.Vire rejoint par un second serveur qui nous a préparé un steak tartare sous les yeux mais finalement fade, nous n'avons eu qu'une envie, fuir ce lieu où nous étions pourtant entrés pour nous détendre en prenant du bon temps dans un cadre unique. Dommage, nous ne reviendrons pas.

Pour prolonger le plaisir d'un concert, un bar avec des cocktails très bons. Service parfait. Un lieu intime.

Wir haben uns entschieden, uns einen luxuriösen Abend in Montreux zu gönnen und haben uns das Jazz Cafe als Veranstaltungsort ausgesucht. Wir wurden den ganzen Abend sehr gut behandelt - es gab einen tollen Service.Es ist eine ziemlich teure Option, aber der Ruf scheint verdient. Der Wein, der empfohlen wurde, war sehr gut und wir genossen unsere Vorspeisen.Meine Freunde liebten ihre Hauptgerichte, aber ich war etwas enttäuscht von meinem, da mein Lamm mit einer Soße bedeckt war, die ich nicht mochte. Das war eine Schande, aber ein bisschen unglücklich.Wenn Sie einen schönen Abend mit hochwertigen Speisen und Service wünschen, ist dies eine gute Option, aber seien Sie sich bewusst, dass es nicht billig ist!

Es gibt ein recht gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis für CHF 49 inklusive einem leckeren Burger. Die Lage und das Ambiente des Restaurants ist schön und der Service war freundlich und professionell. Die Auswahl an Weinen war auch sehr gut, aber auch für Schweizer Verhältnisse sehr teuer.

Ambiance intime et cosy pour ce "café ". Service attentif et dynamique. J'ai pris un tartare de boeuf préparé devant vous....: une tuerie en goût et fraicheur. Assaissonnement impeccable , viande sublime servie avec des frites et un plateau de mini sauce Heinz en petits bocaux et une salade mêlée vinaigrée à souhait.
