Montreux Jazz Café Geneva in Meyrin

Overall good experience, but please provide a place for the luggage, we are in an airport where every 10 minutes we are told to keep the luggage under surveillance and at your place, no surveillance possible?? The food is good but the service...you have to ask for everything, it's not up to par with Jazz Café. A little effort, we are at Geneva airport, a good opportunity to offer quality service and tips will follow.

Worst customer service I’ve had in Geneva. After I made my payment, the cashier left and another cashier took his place. The cashier asked if I need help and told him I ordered the sandwich from the takeaway section. He asked to see my receipt and I told him I only have the electronic receipt from my bank..basically not wanting to hand me over the food that I paid for. This went on for a good minute after he finally talked to his colleague to confirm I did pay. If i wanted to steal their mid-tier food, it would not be from this place… EVER.

Staff managed to serve four of us delicious burgers, cooked to order in under 30 minutes as we had a connection to catch. I didn't expect such a pleasant experience at an airport restaurant but it was great.

I arrived after a flight and I must say although the place is attractive I waited a while before being served... But hey, nothing unusual, one waitress can't do everything!

A real service, responsive and attentive. Cool jazz concerts broadcast on the big screen. A pleasant place which constitutes, in the middle of the airport, a warm, elegant and spacious oasis. Tasty, satisfying and comforting cuisine (travelers’ gold!). The dishes arrive very quickly, and the quality is no less there. Hats off to the whole team. You take airport cuisine to the next level.

We were invited to lunch, but it turned out that everything was closed until 19:00. Lost time.

Jazzy (obviously) nice setting. Simple, good and hearty dishes. Fast and courteous room service. Ideal for a lunch with colleagues.

Coffee €4.10 Hot chocolate €4.60 and Tea tasteless and extremely expensive, never seen prices at this level.

The manager is an unpresentable person. He speaks badly to his colleagues in front of customers and displays a despotic attitude. Shameful! A little more respect and education.

Excellent time spent at the Montreux jazz café during my visit to Geneva airport. I was served by Dorine, great service, very smiling and pleasant. The sea bass fillet was great.

The food was OK for airport arrivals, but the staff seemed overworked and forgetful - even with less than half of the tables occupied.

Rudest experience I have ever had. We wanted to sit with my friends to get some appetizers before our flight. They told us if we only order appetizers we can only sit for 1 hour because we arent ordering something “big”, for the context there were a lot of empty tables ( most of them) and it wasnt like we were occupying another potential customers table. After an hour we wanted the bills ( I always tip as long as I do get a good service, however kicking someone out when they just sit is not a good service for me), I was talking to my friend how to pay and they were listening to us i guess and they didnt like that we werent going to pay tip and a waiter commented : thank you so much for the tip ( with shaming tone). After that I left some of the coins in my purse as I was leaving the country anyway but that was one of the worst experience I had. I don’t recommend going unless you want to shamed for not ordering “enough”.

This is an establishment that has understood that it is necessary to serve quickly in an airport. The 4 young girls here are well organized and are busy offering coffee before the plane takes off. This is different from the other establishments present at this airport.

Nice place, with some amateur concerts. The service is not very responsive whether for drinks or meals. The menu is rather limited and the prices are a little overrated. The only advantage is the open kitchen, but then you smell like fat.

Plastic service is not acceptable anymore in these kind of places. Passing environmental videos on tv and serving in plastic containers for a quick lunch.

The waitress is very rude, we don't know what a product is called, she's not nice to move around to show us or give cutlery, she's the chubby one of them all, I guess why she doesn't move much

Unacceptable comments from the server who was at fault for having forgotten to place our order (30 minutes of waiting to learn that they had forgotten the order) and who barked at us when we complained rather than apologizing. Errors happen but not inappropriate remarks to customers. And no compensation offered.

Delicious food, very nice and calm atmosphere, excellent service, they don't speak Spanish very well but you can communicate in English perfectly

A very welcome break on arrival, before returning to daily life in Geneva. Original and delicious cuisine. Attentive service. Reasonable prices. As a bonus, the highlights of the Montreux Jazz Festival on screens.

Where else can you wait 4 hours for your plane! Great food & music - superb service too!

Worst experience in a restaurant/bar/cafe I’ve ever had in my life. We ate and drank €89 worth of food and drink. The “manager” - Thibault, made a Mojito for my girlfriend. She wasn’t happy with it and he told us he forgot to put sugar in it. When my girlfriend asked if he could make another one, he said “no, I don’t have time”. When she explained he was being rude he muttered his apologies and walked away. Avoid at all costs. To make matters worse, we were asked if we wanted to add a tip when paying the bill.

The sound is way too loud!!!!! You have to calm down, we're not in a club, people are arriving/departing for international flights, they don't want to have their heads broken by the noise that resonates throughout the airport.

Dusty decorations and lighting overpriced food

The staff takes great care. The cuisine is unpretentious and quite correct. The setting is simply: “Funky Claude”!!

Highly incompetent and very slow staff. 3 staff at the counter and a 25 minute queue for a "coffee" made with automatic machines. The tables are occupied by people who do not eat breakfast while standing. It doesn't look like a bar but a gag. Disproportionate prices.

Walked in the door, no staff to be seen. We wouldn't have even known the place was open if there hadn't been a handful of customers already sat at tables eating. Genève airport lacks good gastronomic options. So this is place is good compared to the others. The sandwiches seems to be old and heated , avoid them. Overpriced as well.

I was here while waiting for picking up my friend. The staffs were super friendly, they have few options for tapas - for a quick bite. It’s always a good idea to have a glass of champagne. Jazz music around, cool place

While I was waiting for the flight from Adana to Geneva, I sat at the jazz cafe and was talking on the phone where I was sitting. the waiter did not say hello or welcome to me. It didn't appear on the menu, so I waited in my seat. When he didn't give me, I said, "Can you give me the food menu, please". But I was shocked by the answer I got. he said no to me and left..then he came back and said "I won't give you a menu, you came and you're talking on the phone, you didn't even say hello how are you. since when we sit and ask the waiter how are you at the place we order? is it the culture of that city I don't know? and that's why he doesn't serve me It was very interesting to me. I am a customer, he should have said welcome to me, what would you buy?can I help you?…but he said he wouldn't serve me because I didn't say so and he fired me from there! because the only reason i didn't say hello :D

Disappointed for a place like this.... a spill with milk which was starting to "steam" and a tasteless cosmopolitan (forgotten the alcohol?) and not put in a shaker!!!! You might as well not offer cocktails if the base is not entirely mastered.

Ok cafe for an airport. The pasta bolognese was lacking some spices, but generally was okeish. Chips were ok.

They have a very rude staff named Elie. We didn't see the line and stepped back when he warned then he began to imitate us and begin to talk in French mocking us. We warned him but continued and we left. Unbelievable attitude!

It’s chf 9 for a beer (nearly €10!!) & they don’t clean the tables - I didn’t see a single staff member in the dining area in the 45min I was there. Much better to go to your gate & you’ll find it’s less expensive, cleaner & less crowded.

Friendly and welcoming. Having left Bristol Airport very early (and you can't get a real coffee at Bristol Airport anymore) this cafe provides a great coffee and a good selection of other drinks. Good place to wait for onward travel connections but pretty pricey.

This the absolute worst coffee I’ve ever had, and to add to the cheek of this place, they charge 7.90 CHF. How are they even operating!

Great service and cool atmosphere inside the airport.

I went there for the music but it was almost inaudible, so I asked as a staff to either it louder as its too noisy with an open kitchen etc. He tried but their sound system volume had some issue as he said. As for food, I tried this burger which was extremely boring and shouldn't exist for the price attached to it. The fries tasted too starchy and corny. However the desserts were excellent! The restaurant manager needs to understand many would come to this restaurant only for the music. But what's the point when you can't hear the music and when the food is boring? Also it took a lot of effort to grab any of the 3 serving staffs attention! Pls train them. And atleast hire people who are genuinely interested in Jazz music

Amazing gourmet-like food in the middle of the airport. Hands down one of the best airport places I have been to. The atmosphere is so nice and jazzy that you almost forget you are waiting for your flight. The staff was incredibly nice and made sure to provide 5 star service. The sea bass was cooked perfectly and the lemon dessert was one of the most balanced lemon desserts I have ever tasted in my life - the right amount of sweet and sour taste. If I find myself again at Geneva airport or any of the same chain locations, would definitely go again. Price wise for me it was good. Not too expensive for what you get. Not cheap, i guess around the average prices in Geneva and depends what you order.
