Mountain Lodge in Glarus Süd

Warm tasty soup on a cold windy day, awesome views with superb visibility, very nice host, no crowd. Cannot ask for more! We then found out that the hut has 12 beds for overnight stay plus an indoor dining space because it will get too cold outside! The very nice host also gave us a tour of the hut. Not a big place but definitely sufficient and cosy.

Special, rustic, friendly, good cuisine

I really like walking from Elm up to Laax. Gondola to the middle of the route or running... biking! If you have enough time and are fit, I recommend hiking... of course I have used the gondola several times because it is also very special. Steep climb from the middle of the route. Good shoes Ie. Walking boots!!!! If you continue towards Flims, you should be sure to step on a short ladder on the rock at the beginning. Afterwards beautiful Taal... Spending the night in the lounge is fun. Reservations are recommended. Good kitchen. For me, payment was only possible in cash. Have fun... all I can say is... do it👍

Small old but newly renovated hut at the top of the pass. Friendly hut wardens with a Saint Bernard make the visit an experience. Simple and well prepared food. A few beds for an overnight stay in a unique mountain world guarantee a special experience and reward everyone for the long climb to the hut on the Segnespass.

The term lodge is perhaps a bit misleading. It's a simple cabin in a spectacular setting. However, mountain hikers must be well equipped and sure-footed.
