Excellent experience. The dishes are excellent, the service efficient and friendly. And not to spoil anything, the decor is far from the clichés of Indian restaurants.

The dishes are plentiful and delicious. (personally the cuisine is a little too adapted. It could have more flavors, and a raita for people who want less spicy)

Food was super! Had a south indian taste to it, wasn’t too spicy 🌶️ and tasted fresh. The thalis are great 👍 especially since they do not have a lot of food piled up but rather a little bit of everything. If you are looking for indian food which reminds you of home 🏠 this is the place for you ! The service was quick and warm. One input, the decor could be more Indian :) Its is very close to Lausanne Gare and Metro. Recommended!

For me the best Indian restaurant in Lausanne due to the quality of the food and the flavors! Their pistachio naans are to die for! The staff is friendly and gives good advice I recommend and make reservations in advance at the end of the week!

I recommend the Chicken Butter if you want the dish with the most quantity (the others are lighter). I would have appreciated a little more rice. Cheese Naan Breads are delicious. Small restaurant, quickly full. Quality service.

First experience in this place which smells of Indian cuisine:) A warm and smiling welcome. Tables with real roses which is not the case in many restaurants! The meal was delicious, lived up to our expectations and served by the very friendly owner. We ate on the patio in view of the rather cool and rainy weather which did not spoil this moment of sharing and I readily imagine that the terrace must offer us a beautiful view of the roofs of the south of the city and on our very Vaudois “sea” :-):-):-) We will return with pleasure and for fans of Indian cuisine, I highly recommend it.

Magnificent experience for my darling's birthday outing. It was exquisite and we were spoiled! Very attentive and efficient staff, vegan options available and delicious! We were surprised with a chocolate cake with a free birthday candle! Pleasant atmosphere, the great success of this restaurant is well deserved! We will come back with pleasure

Good food. Squid starter and vegetable pancake, each accompanied with a delicious sauce. The gosh biriyani, good flavors but the meat was dry. Big good point for the beautiful colors on the plates and the care of the presentation. Very pleasant terrace. However prices too high

2,5 out of 5 but ok 3! Good food delicious 🥘🍛but very small amount better to be little more generous specially in rice amount menu has just few items not so much choices. Tried Golab jamoun also good a bit different Dow again tiny bit served ,only two balls 🥲 The place is very tight, don’t expect a huge restaurent also floor was not so clean and under the tables were so dirty 🧹🫧 No open window , not opened door first entered heavy smelled breath of crowd, no fresh air in entire restaurent that made breathing difficult ! Staff were friendly and typical serious French ! The funny thing was restaurent owner was waitering as well 😂 in total lt was good but I would take away next time By the way expect over 40 CHF per person 💸💰expensive overall Decoration was soooo old styled your grandma remembers all the statues and tiny symbols in old Bollywood movies 😁

We ordered a butter chicken, very spicy and spicy (be careful for those who can't stand spicy). For me the chicken was cooked with too many different spices, I would have preferred a more neutral taste. So we can't blame the lack of taste 😉 But I still recommend this dish! The vegetables were very good and the rice too. Very nice presentation. The mango lassi was good but very rich in cardamom and it was not specified on the menu, I would have appreciated once again if it was less spicy or dosed on request. Being gluten intolerant I asked for a replacement for the naan breads, they gave me papadam which was very good. The servers are very friendly, we appreciated it! I'll be back!

Good experience overall. We arrived at 7 without reservation on the lunch service. An older gentleman shouted to us "have you booked!?" in an accusatory and unwelcoming tone. But the waiter quickly found us a place in the second one and treated us very well. The food is excellent and flavorful as you would expect in an Indian restaurant. A little disappointed with the quantities and prices (small quantities and high prices). Finally the prices announced were not respected (menu announced at 20 ultimately billed 22 and the 5dl are announced at 25 on the menu (price of the desired) but billed by the dl because no more desired in stock and therefore 27.5 in total). We are happy with our meal but not sure we will come back.

I saw the NANDANAM 🇮🇳♥️ restaurant from the street and decided to stop and eat inside. I was received by a very rude blond waiter🤦🏼‍♀️ and a very nice dark-skinned waiter ☺️ so I decided to stay and taste the cuisine. I ordered a Vegetarian Thali 🥗🍛🍱 and a Lassi 🍹(my favorite Indian yogurt and mango drink). 🥰 When my dish arrived the presentation was very beautiful, full of colors and with some flowers in a copper tray (you can see it from the photos). 🏆 Traditional taste, contrast of flavors and colors, a little spicy, the palate really rejoiced. 🏆🏆 Superb naan bread. 🍹🏆Homemade Lassi. 💵 Price in the norm for the Swiss market $$. 🏆🇮🇳Truly exceptional quality and taste. 👳👳👳Very nice staff, apart from the blond waiter 🤦🏼‍♀️ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can only recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Indian cuisine or wants to discover it for the first time. My favorite address in Lausanne! The dishes are delicious and well presented, the room is superbly decorated, the staff is attentive and kind… In short, everything is perfect. In addition, the daily lunch specials are very affordable and the well-hidden terrace at the back is a haven of peace in the middle of the city.

Amazing south Indian delicacy ever there is in Entire Switzerland. We three friends were traveling to Paris. Stopped by this restaurant for lunch. Food was amazing. Biriyani had so much of lamb pieces. Manager Pradeep was very warm welcoming person. He even gave us a welcome chai. It was lovely. will surely visit this place again.

our waiter (skinny, european man with grey hair and glasses) provided us with the worst service we have experienced in switzerland. he was rude and condescending from the moment we stepped foot into the restaurant. it was our first time patronising the place and he got frustrated that we didn't immediately understand his desire for us to enter the restaurant through an adjacent entryway into the terrace and got snappy when he realised he had to communicate to us in english instead of french. when we asked politely for a food menu he responded passive aggressively as if we were asking something hugely unreasonable of him. he then informed us impatiently that the kitchen would be closing soon and we only had two minutes to decide what to eat. when we asked for the bill at the end of the meal, he dramatically tossed an empty coin dish passive aggressively on the table. the entire experience was uncomfortable and almost comical. the other staff we interacted with were nothing but warm and lovely, which made his behaviour all the more bizarre. bad service aside, the calamari starter we had was delightful. the lamb curry was also above average although the small dishes that came along with it (daal, spiced rice etc) were rather bland.

Clearly a must for Indian cuisine in Lausanne! The dishes are tasty and generous with a beautiful presentation. Ask to be seated on the terrace, the view is breathtaking! The decoration is neat and the staff is very pleasant. A small downside for the prices which we found a little excessive for Indian cuisine which generally remains very accessible. However, it’s like the city: all the restaurants are quite expensive…

Nandanam continues to be one of my favourite restaurants in Lausanne. The food is incredibly tasty and made with the freshest of ingredients. The staff are kind and helpful. And the decor is simple and calming.

For me, simply the best Indian in the region. Each time I visit, I am won over!

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, however after hearing that they make their own spice mix, I am still disappointed by their cuisine 100% adapted to the European palate. Everything has a good base but is sorely lacking in taste. Growing up in South India, I looked forward to the Thali... However, the spices used and the quality of the ingredients are very good, however we are far from India and its flavors. Even the dessert and the texture of the gulab jamoon were not up to par. Very disappointing.

In a busy avenue leading to the station, this seemingly standard restaurant appeared. But when you enter the terrace doors, the magic happens. A shimmering setting, a boss who listens and is very happy to introduce you to his cuisine which goes to the essentials. The dishes are presented with care. A little word about the cake of the boss's wife (Geneviève?) which will ultimately fill chocolate lovers with happiness. In short, if you want to discover Indian cuisine without taking the risk of spitting fire on the way out, give it a try.

By far the best Indian restaurant in Lausanne. The staff is super friendly, and the food is amazing. They also have a beautiful terrace with colorful umbrellas. I will for sure come back, and would recommend this place to my friends.

Their terrace overlooking the Art Museum is very nice. Short menu, not exceptional but very decent dishes that are carefully presented, excellent service, average prices. This place is certainly very recommendable

Very good indian restaurant! We took take-away, the owner was very kind at the desk and offered me a chai while I was waiting. He was available for any questions or modification about the plates in the menu'. The food was delicious, and it seemed the cook and the stuff they really put care and effort on giving the customer a good impression, even though it is still take-away food. Quality/amount of food/price/service, it is totally worth it! highly recommended!

Nous avons eu un accueil très chaleureux en arrivant pour recevoir nos plats à l emporter. La qualité de la nourriture était super. Nous avons pris le plat végétarien qui est copieux avec des aliments frais. Le patron nous a offert un Lhassi probablement le meilleur que j aie pu déguster ! À mon avis le meilleur resto indien, je recommande vivement !!
