Negishi Archhöfe in Winterthur

Never again! Here’s why: The sushi itself was third rate, I’m used to much better. The worst thing was canned tuna, in a roll, which you could clearly taste. Then you will find so much vegan “sushi” on offer that you have to be careful not to accidentally get any of it. Then the turn off with a QR code, instead of a real menu, which automatically creates an uncomfortable station atmosphere. I hate it. Pay only cashless. Brave new world sends greetings! Of course, as a parent you are also portrayed as an idiot if your adult daughter orders an Aperol Spritz, which is refused to her (in the presence of her parents!) because she did not have any ID with her. This has never happened to her or to us anywhere, 2020 has probably turned some people into control freaks, not to mention the oh-so-hygienic QR codes and refusal to cash. We will never go there again!

Take Away is super easy to book via the Homepadge. The restaurant provides everything on time and everything is complete. The sushi is simply delicious!

Good and recommended sushi restaurant. The sushi rolls, whether with fish or vegan content, are very tasty. However, the price is on the higher side for a sushi restaurant. Unfortunately, especially in the middle part of the restaurant, the atmosphere is more like a cafeteria and does not correspond to the price range. In the back part, the ambience with the decoration and seating is more appealing and cozy. Even with the "all you can eat" offer, there are sushi restaurants with cheaper and genuine "all you can eat" offers with a better price/performance ratio.

A very nice place to eat some Sushi, the inside looks very nice. Sadly it has no treadmill inside like the yoojies in winterhur. For that the prices are lower. A bonus is the Take away system. You have a order machine at the entrance where you can oick you sushi and get a vibration device (guest pager) to notify you, when your food is ready. Tip: order the crunchy prawn rolls

Fantastic sushi in Winterthur! The Negishi Sushi Bar Archhöfe impresses with its beautiful ambience, friendly service and excellent sushi. The selection is large, the prices are fair and the location is central.

Really never heard of a sushi restaurant with such adorable interior decoration. The walls are dressed in various erratic colors and various plants have been decoratively placed and provide a fresh, natural kick and atmosphere. The food is phenomenal! High regards!!

Even as a non-sushi connoisseur, I think the food is good. It's a shame that the spicy vegetable soup is no longer available. The fact that you are made aware when making your reservation that it is only valid for 2 hours is almost cheeky; even if I'm no longer there.

Good evening Unfortunately, my friend and I didn't have a delicious dinner as usual and the service was unfortunately very snippy and unfriendly. We ordered some sushi, edamame and dumplings, which were delicious as expected. Unfortunately, the spring rolls we ordered were very lumpy and smelled extremely bad. When we asked the staff about it, they said that's just how they are. What we didn't accept. As compensation, the “boss” offered us a coffee. I told the lady that I was lactose intolerant and she said “yes, then that’s it”. The rolls were not deducted from the invoice and our suggestion was not taken into account at all. Really a shame and not customer friendly at all.

Great sushi! The food was top and very tasty, varied and there was a lot of variety. The service was a little intrusive for the tip. (Too bad) The prices are higher but still reasonable! I'll be back.

The staff is extremely friendly and humorous. The food was beautifully prepared and served within a very short time. In my opinion it is one of the best sushi restaurants, the food was excellent as always! I really like the decoration of plants and the murals - it suits the restaurant. Only to be recommended!

Based on a recommendation, we made a reservation for “All You Can Eat” at Negishi Archhöfe on Monday. Although “All You Can Eat” doesn’t really apply. You can order 6 portions per round for 1-2 people or 10 portions per round for 3-4 people. This for a total of 5 rounds. After that it's done. There are 2 sushi rolls or 2 pieces per portion that you can put together yourself. At least 3 different portions must be selected. I hope I was able to explain it clearly enough. In terms of taste, the sushi was very balanced. Delicious, although the rice was rather coarser than usual. Rice itself is well seasoned. You can taste nuances of rice wine. Variations range from Crispy, Urumaki to Classic. Yes, it was tasty but nothing where I have to say that it was the high flyer and clearly stands out from other sushi restaurants. In terms of price we are talking about 55 CHF per person. I think the 11 CHF for 1 liter of water is salty. I would have preferred to ask how much it costs beforehand. It is also clearly designed to ensure that the portions take a long time to arrive, so that you quickly feel full. The portion was already ready but enough time was allowed to pass. I just think that “All You Can Eat” doesn’t really suit the program.

I have been ordering from Negishi for several years. But today I was disappointed. The uramaki vuna roll suddenly has hot spices on it. Unfortunately, I can't tolerate spicy food, so I couldn't eat the sushi. There has also been a lot less sushi available to order for a while now than before. I think I'll have to start looking for a new sushi supplier :(

Today was the first time in a long time. I think it's a shame that you can only pay cashless. Unfortunately, sushi was also better. Rather expensive. As always, the ambience is very nice, very friendly service.

Biggest minus point: No more cash payments. I've been to Negishi a lot so far, but today was probably the last time. I don't think it's okay that I'm being deprived of the option of paying in cash. I've always paid in cash and don't always have a cell phone battery or cards. A pity. The food has always been good and the service has always been very attentive and good, unfortunately until today.

Excellent food and matching service and ambience. We received an incredibly friendly welcome and the girls there know how to advise and serve their guests well. Even though the restaurant was practically full, there wasn't a long wait. I can only recommend this location.

I have been a customer of Negishis for 8 years. The food was and is always top and the service is super friendly and attentive. I've also been able to order drinks that weren't mentioned on the menu - just awesome! It's always a 10/10 experience both in take away and on site - thanks for that! It would be great if you had another branch somewhere in the direction of Frauenfeld/Wil/Gossau/St. Gallen could open. I think there are some like me who drive 30km to you because you have the best sushi.

The food at Negishi and the service in all branches are always top! In the negishi in the Archhöfen there is also a special ambience, it is very colorful, cozy and rather informal.

Only cards or Twint are accepted... no more cash!! Very worrying development that I, as a loyal customer, cannot approve of and in this case also the last visit for me. A real shame.

This is the fourth time I have eaten at Negishi Sushi Bar Archhöfen and I am always very satisfied. The service was very attentive and friendly and the delicious food was prepared and brought to the table quickly.

Mega impersonal with the whole QR code story. The service wasn't really great either. Inattentive and sometimes a bit snippy. But the food... that didn't work at all! You could tell from afar that the tuna nigiri were not fresh, they, the salmon nigiri and the makis actually tasted exactly like they had been bought in the supermarket. The rice was already very dry and hard. Shame about the money! And the menu is absolutely too vegetarian-heavy

Unfortunately, 12 of the 29 sushi variations at all you can eat are now vegetarian or vegan. The offer has also been reduced, which is a shame.

We went to the Negishi Sushi Bar Archhöfe for the first time today. That's twice as much. First for coffee around midday and then for dinner in the late afternoon. It was an absolute feast for the eyes and the palate. We were also impressed by the friendly service. Thanks

I went to Negishi with my boyfriend for the first time today. We were warmly welcomed by the staff. The food was very tasty from the starter to the sushi platter to the dessert. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great. We will come back in any case! :-)

Lovely place, extensive menu, but pretty expensive

To be honest, you expect more for this price. For a lot of sushi I only received two soy sauces, which I don't think is enough. You could be more generous at this price. Additionally, the momos we ordered were not fresh at all. I've been a customer for years, especially in Walliselleb, but I wanted to try Winterthur and have to say that the difference is big. It's a pity…

The Negishi Sushi Bar is located directly in the Archhöfe building complex opposite Winterthur main train station. The restaurant is very stylish and lovingly decorated and the staff is very friendly, helpful and quick. The dishes are served attractively decorated. In terms of taste, the dishes are okay, although many of them have a very weak taste. In terms of price, the restaurant is in the middle range. A dessert, for example, costs around 14 CHF.

Very tasty food and so far we have always been served very quickly. Very friendly and personable staff. Large selection of vegetarian and vegan sushi. It's worth testing this out. QR code card takes a bit of getting used to. This makes it all the more practical when paying via QR code. Also very quick as a takeaway. You can pre-order on site or online and even here, if it's not rush hour, you can get your food quickly. Very cozy inside, outside the street is nearby and it is rather loud. All in all, it's definitely worth a visit!

Very tasty Japanese cuisine - a few minutes' walk from the Winterthur bus station. Attractive menu with accompanying photos of the dishes on offer. If I had any questions and/or was unclear about spiciness or portion size, my questions were answered in a helpful and friendly manner. Despite the restaurant being almost fully booked, the delivery service running well and walk-in customers. The food tasted very good and was also visually very appealing. A lot of attention to detail and also in the decoration throughout the restaurant. Pleasant lighting, optimal table placement and can also be moved/adjusted for larger groups. (preferably reserve in advance for 6/8 people+) Show cooking included and authentic. Noise level not disturbing or unpleasant. Price/offer/performance/atmosphere TOP!! In my opinion: Very pricey, especially for what you get. Ordered a noodle soup and was very disappointed about the taste. I was looking for a rich Japanese Rahmen taste (because they advertisedthe homemade broth), was not expecting something a student with a hangover could make at home. Almost no taste, as if straight out of the water-cooker. Had to 'spice it up' with friggn Maggi. such a pity. Delivery was fast tho.

We recently ordered the vegetarian ramen, which wasn't bad but nothing special and very expensive for what you get. For this price we would have expected a little better quality.

Food (edamame, kagaare bowl, uround bowl) was delicious, only house iced tea tasted like toothpaste.

The amount was alright for the price given, but with the same money there are better option available. As I come from Asia, I had a lot of sushi back home, and this doesn’t meet my standards for Japanese food. The service was very nice🙌
