It was a very fine restaurant with the nicest staff ever. We were warmly welcomed and had a good laught with our waiter. The food itself was amazing! It was the closest to my home-food I ever ate in a restaurat!! It was incredible. Would 100% recommend!

Last night we enjoyed their delicious food at home (delivery). Unfortunately they forgot to deliver one dish, however after a quick phone call they redelivered it in under 30minutes across the city. Visited New Avataar in Zürich. The restaurant we ate at recently which was very delicious. Very tasty food and attentive care and exceedingly polite staffs. We went as a family with kids and had Mutton Biryani and Kottu + Rolls. We are excited to taste other dishes as well. Looking forward to going again soon. We bought a two-course menu in advance via poinz. Butter chicken was what we expected - I already mentioned on the phone that it shouldn't be spicy! Unfortunately not a great experience. To be nice, I gave it 2 stars because it deserved 1... we were disappointed - and my partner will never try Indian food again. The restaurant is very nicely decorated and the service is very courteous and nice. Hence the second star.

Hands down one of the best Biryanis I have had, deliciously full of flavor and enjoyment with every bite. Plus the garlic Naan is to die for. We didn't catch the name of the lady who waited on us, she was very welcoming and kind. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the specials!

Traveled to Zurich from Stuttgart,DE for the weekend. Dinner was spent at New Avataar in central Zurich. Firstly, owner was very welcoming and made me feel comfortable. Recomended dishes that were not on the menu if I liked to order. Ordered a lovely Sri Langkan chicken briyani and a tea. Food was awesome with all the spices, very mild for my taste but it was just right. I would highly recommend New Avataar for quality of food and hospitality. Place was also very nicely decorated and clean.

One of house special dishes was quite spicy (I am quite used to eating spicy food, but it was different level), so we could not finish. For the left-over, she packed them for us, so that we could bring them home.

Found this place after searching for a good Indian restaurant, which was actually available and serving guests. I have to say, the wait was worth it. The food was authentic, and extremely delicious. Excellent service and authentic dishes from Sri Lanka and Tamil Nadu in India. I got delivery due to the covid restrictions and the team was polite, professional and explained all the dishes. The taste made me feel like my last Sri Lankan holiday on the beach during these tough times.
