Oberbächen in Gommiswald

Great little mountain restaurant. Very basic food menu (no children menu despite the large play ground). Shame the google location is in the wrong place and neatly 3k down the mountain.

Beautiful view of the Säntis, from a small, rustic alpine restaurant. Ideal as a hiking destination after work or when stopping off on the Toggenburger Höhenweg.

Very nice alpine farm with a playground

Great kitchen right on the Toggenburger Höhenweg. (Nidelzunne and Brotschoppe taste like heaven after a hike), cows right in the house, playground within sight, rustic music, beautiful panorama, clean air but a bit grumpy landlady. (It is due to the approaching thunderstorm)

Super nice service. Be sure to eat the Schorzifladen. Good food, very good prices.

Cozy alpine restaurant, great view

Unfortunately, the hospitality seems to stop with 4-legged friends! After a 2-hour walk to Oberbächen (not visible on the HP or anywhere else) we (and my wife) were told in no uncertain terms that dogs were not “welcome”. :-((

After a long year, there was a molten stream again in the upper streams. It's still wonderful up there. Good food and lovely staff. Always happy

Nice restaurant as you would imagine in the Swiss mountains. Very courteous staff. Eat hammer. Reasonable prices. We will be back definitely. So here again after almost a year. The food here is simply great!!
