In with a good mood and out with huge disappointment😢. ... In the almost empty restaurant after about 20 minutes and with several contact attempts, none of the 4 employees took the order. But for pretty young people who came after us, everything was already there in a matter of seconds. Noooo again........

There is hot stone - so you have to cook your steak yourself at the table. That's ok, it exists in many places. But until now I could order a ready-made steak anytime and anywhere. The chef can normally do this. Just leave it in the pan for 5 minutes longer. But here it was simply “no”. We don't do it for you. No exceptions. Incredibly cheeky for such a price range. The guest is not king. Never again.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting your restaurant. Unfortunately, my experience wasn't as satisfying as I hoped. The waiters seemed disinterested and not attentive. Above all, you were very disrespectful. Unfortunately I can't rate the food because we left the restaurant because of the disrespect.

We were dining in on Friday evening. The reservation process by telephone was uncomplicated and we got a nice table. To get to the restaurant you have to pass trough the Hotel lobby wich led to a confusing situation (the staff at the lobby told us that there is no reservation in our name, but they only see the Hotel reservation). So far so good, now let's talk about the food. We got a mixed salad and a garlic bread for our appetizers. The mixed salad was a good portion and fresh Ingredients. The french dressing was just boring, in fact it was so boring it had to be homemade wich usually is a good thing. The garlic and herb paste was nice and fragerant but the bread choice was wrong in our opinion. They use the same Bread you have on your table with butter just sliced a little thicker. Presentation wise it looked really nice. For our entree's we got 250g beef fillet on the hot stone with 1 side of tagliatelle and 1 side of french fries. The beef was the absolute star, a beatiful piece of meat. The tagliatelle were as boring as you can imagine them. The cook clearly dosn't know what salt or spice is. The fries were fries nothing more nothing less. Lets get ready for the part of the expirience that is in my opinion absolutely head shaking. The sauces you get with every cut of meat on the hot stone were just simply sad. The sweet chili sauce and the bbq sauce that came straight out of the bottle were not only not homemade but also obnoxious in taste. The bbq sauce was so strong in liquid smoke that it was inedible. The sweet chili sauce was the biggest headshake because it just dosn't make any sensce. I cant make up any scenario in my mind where sweet chili sauce harmonises with a beatiful cut of meat or even with french fries or any other side dish you could've chosen. The garlic and cocktail sauce was as boring and tasteless as the salad dressing. It's really hard for me to like the expirience we had, even tho the meat was perfect. But since you cook the meat yourself on the stone, the gastronomic focus should 100% be on the side dishes and sauces, wich all were sadly boring. I have atleast 10 sauces in my mind right now that would be more fitting (maybe a sriracha mayonaise, honey mustard or a peppercorn sauce). In hindsight it felt not much like an expirience. The service was nice, competent and responsive, the presentation of everything is really nice and the food is not bad at all BUT everything is just so loveless that it dosn't hold up if you keep the brutal pricetag in the back of your head. The hot stone in that scence feels like a pure utensil to maximise sales volume. The feeding bib they put on you with your main course was also pretty cringe in my opinion, but some may find it nice. Sadly not a recommendation, theres a lot of places in davos that cook with love and passion you could go to dine in.

Ideal for a birthday dinner, as it is an experience to grill a wonderful piece of meat on the hot stone. Highlights: There are 4 sauces, fries were wonderful, a combo menu with 300 gr (!) rib eye, starter, intermediate course (sorbet) and dessert was available for CHF 89.

Nice, delicious, and large amount of food. Tasty, an experience with many different items on the menu. Can definitely recommend trying their tiramisu, which I have rarely had so good. Will definitely come again. The service was impeccable and the atmosphere pleasant in cozy surroundings.

Soups in Switzerland are generally salty. The beef soup in this store is delicious and not too salty. It is very suitable for Taiwanese tastes. The filet mignon is delicious and recommended.

Nice classic restaurant with good service. The meat quality of the beef fillet was excellent and preparing it on the hot stone was an experience.

First things first: the food came unusually quickly, which reminded me of a canteen, but one side dish was very lukewarm - had to go back to the kitchen to make it hot. The sauces were all given the rating “from the bag/tube/can”. The additionally ordered Béarnaise even remained after tasting a spoonful. (I subsequently read this criticism several times here in the reviews, my bad) Only the venison entrecôte on the hot stone (you can't go wrong with that anyway) didn't fall short of expectations. The staff was friendly and accommodating despite the restaurant being relatively full (just before the ice hockey match). When it comes to the ambience, I have to make a big deduction because of the grease-spattered walls. That doesn't work at all. Not recommended.

Great restaurant with very friendly staff and a large selection of food and wine. We were very satisfied and we were very impressed by the friendly service. We'd love to come back.

We were a fairly big group with 20+ people. Most of us had hot stone which was well served, nice portions. Simply good food. A few ordered a cordon blue and were negatively surprised. If you go to Ochsen you rather go with a hot stone. The negative experience we had was that the waiter ignored our table after obtaining the orders and served the Apero drinks. Therefore, for a fair amount of time we did not have any drinks at all (neither water or wine). It was probably the size of our group but still a negative experience. Nevertheless, the food was good.

We got the last table outside on the street. That's why we can't judge the ambience. The service was very good. You don't necessarily expect good vegetarian dishes in a steakhouse, but the stuffed mushrooms on the hot stone and the vegetable side dish were very tasty. The Cordonbleu was fine, and fortunately not oversized.

The beef fillet on a hot stone is simply outstanding. The meat is served perfectly seared, so that lovers of lower cooking levels (up to medium-rare) will get their money's worth. In this case, the meat is perfectly edible without further cooking on the hot stone, as the quality of the meat is excellent. Starter salad and dessert are of the same high standard. The service is very attentive and friendly. As a passionate steakhouse visitor, I can recommend the Ochsen 100% without reservation. Thank you for the evening! :-)

Reservation via email worked perfectly. Unfortunately no own PP. Reception very friendly. Steakhouse-like atmosphere. Beautifully set with fabric tablecloths, napkins and fresh flowers. Paradise for meat lovers; also vegetarian and mixed offerings. Large selection. Crunchy salad, subtle chnobli bread, very good beef and deer meat from Hotstone. Fries a bit over-baked, sauces disappointing 08/15. Slightly crystallized ice. Good selection of wines up to exhorbitantly expensive individual bottles. Very good and friendly service. Worth another visit. Access is tricky without a navigation system and with a bit of luck. Reserve in high season.

Very nice restaurant/ Also suitable for groups!!! Parking spaces are behind the Hotel Restaurant OCHSEN. THERE WAS 4 OF US, I HAD LAMB ON THE HEISEN STEIN, great, finely seasoned... We enjoyed it. also the staff was very friendly. WE WOULD LIKE TO COME BACK.

The food was of very good quality. If I remember correctly, I had a steak on a hot stone. The good thing is, you can cook the meat as well as you want. The side dishes were also very tasty even if they were trumped by meat. The service was very good and friendly. The atmosphere was also very cozy.

We chose the Steakhouse Ochsen for a team dinner for 20 people based on previous very good experiences and - as always - we were not disappointed, our expectations were once again even exceeded. It was just great: service and food perfect, the ambience, as usual, just great. Absolutely recommended, whether as a couple or for an occasion.

I had dinner with my wife today, Tuesday March 22nd, 2023. Everything was very perfect, from the food to the service. Very friendly and attentive service. The food tasted perfect, we had the zebra carpaccio and a hot stone fillet each. It was very very good, quality and speed. Just perfect! We will be back!!!

The service was fantastic, lovely, friendly staff. Can't fault the serving staff. Sadly my rating is driven by the veggie option available, 4 mushrooms (even with a bigger salad) is still a tiny meal. I also have an allium allergy (onion and garlic family) so I couldn't have the stuffing for the mushrooms, nor any of the sauces, nor the favoured butter..... So not the most inspiring meal. Avoid if anyone in your group is veggie, or accept they will be disappointed.

Super fine food! We went to dinner at the Ochsen for a bachelor party. The food was really good. From salad (great sauce) to meat (super quality) and dessert (chocolate cake), everything was perfect. Unfortunately, the waiting times were a little longer, but we were there on a Saturday evening when the restaurant was full, which is totally understandable. A little tip for future guests about the ambience: leave your jackets outside, otherwise they will smell like the grilled meat.

Ordered the Salmon filet and was not happy with it or the side (mashed potatoes- tasted old and dry). I ate nothing on my plate and when I did mention it to the waiter, I was met with attitude “that is personal preference if you did not like it”. This is not something you expect from a professional business. I paid in full for a meal I did not consume and therefore I am not interested in recommending this establishment to anyone visiting Davos.

I reserved by phone. When I arrived they didn't know anything about the reservation. Was then taken to the basement to eat. After ordering everything went very quickly. The meat on the stone had come straight from the fridge, which isn't ideal. The sauces were all ready-made except for the herb butter (which was unsalted). Unfortunately, they tasted like that too. The fries were fried to death and hard. After the complaint, the boss came to my table, he said the sauces were homemade...if you "refine" canned mayo with a little garlic, it doesn't mean it's homemade! So he denied everything, unfortunately wrong answers. The two ladies behind the counter chatted with each other the whole time, and I had to refill the wine myself. When I asked the ladies a few questions, I got the answer, “Sorry, I don’t understand German.” At such high prices for the food, it was all just a disgrace! I will definitely not recommend this restaurant and of course I will never appear there again... since the reservation was forgotten!

The food was good and it came very quickly. However, I would have expected from a Swiss restaurant that specializes in hot stone that most of the meat comes from Switzerland. Only 2 or 3 pieces of beef came from Switzerland, all the others from far abroad. Zebra and ostrich from South Africa - absolutely unnecessary. What a shame!

Delicious. I never thought I would say "the horse was great" but the horse was great. We didn't have a reservation but they squeezed us in. The staff were friendly and the food came quickly. It was expensive but in a town where a hamburger costs $30, it was a bargain. Highly recommended.

Food was excellent, service was extremely friendly and quick. Good selection of meat. Child-friendly (were 2E+3kK) A visit is certainly a must, but you should definitely book in advance. And expect that you won't be able to put your clothes on anymore - because of the smell of the barbecue on the beach.

We have been visiting the restaurant regularly as a group for over 10 years. Unfortunately it's no longer what it used to be... We were happy to order the new "Choco Beef Entrecoté" - it costs an impressive CHF 69.- for 300 grams - unfortunately it is NOT worth this price!!! We all had this entrecoté and no one was convinced/loved by it. The even bigger disappointment was the “Flämmli” here. The four of us patiently tried everything possible. In addition to the absolutely unsuitable cups, the alcohol served with it seemed to be of inferior quality because it simply didn't want to burn. When we politely asked the manager of the restaurant about it, we received a cheap answer and a subtle, disrespectful rebuff... We have rarely experienced such “insulted” behavior... After a long period of loyalty, we will now look for an alternative to the ox.
