Old Gregory Pub in Zürich

The DJ was great! Since it was rebuilt, you have to pay an entrance fee, which would actually be okay if the service was good. We were shouted at by the same barmaid throughout the evening and we could also see that we weren't the only ones. It's a shame, we always enjoyed coming to Gregory's because there was a big selection of songs and we really liked everything about it. But after today I'll think twice about going there again.

Catastrophic bartender. Kicked us out of the bar for being near the bar deck (when there was no other place for us). Never EVER coming back.

I've been going to Gregory's for 10 years and it was getting more and more crowded and commercial but the bouncer today was so unfriendly and assizioal that I had to. after 10 years I will no longer appear as a Gadt.

Very small and very crowded place on a Saturday night with so called karaoke. Low quality bar, mainly for local people

Were in the bar with a group, a few had a drink, the others didn't want to. We were yelled at stupidly several times by the bar staff because we didn't order anything and were then thrown out. Definitely won't go to this bar again!!

Best bouncer Thomas is a legend and otherwise a cool bar with good karaoke unless someone who can't sing comes along and ruins your song😂

The bar manager, or whoever she wanted to be, was extremely rude and kicked out a colleague after he leaned against a table. Really embarrassing for such a lovely club.

Last but not least, bar manager Ramona kicked our friend out for no reason. Avoid bar!!!!!

Hello Gregory's team I was at Gregorys Karaoke Bar on October 22, 2023 and I never want to go to that place again! At the bar me and my partner were treated as if we were aliens. After 30 minutes we were served very unfriendly, bottom drawer… If you sit down in this bar you will be thrown out!!!!! I've never experienced anything like that, we were horrified. We searched the doorways for the bartender's name. Her name is Ramona. CONCLUSION: Please avoid this shop and find another restaurant in this beautiful city of Zurich! Greeting

If you don't order anything for the time being even though everyone else in the group has ordered something, you'll get talked at stupidly. When you order something, you almost can't drink it because it tastes so bad. For the price you just expect more & not such a bland drink. The bartender is so unfriendly, aggressive and rude. Absolutely not recommended.

CHF 19 for a gin and tonic in a plastic glass with an old slice of lemon as the only accompaniment... it's a steal with the most unpleasant staff in Switzerland who charge CHF 5 for a 2dl glass of water.. ... If anyone wants to burn a bar, this should be a preferred choice.

A place where we are not ashamed to charge you CHF 5.- for a glass of tap water when you have just ordered 4 cocktails at CHF 19.- the room, with great aggression, should simply be banned from exercise. An absolute shame with absurd and nasty staff, I will never set foot there again and hope that this comment will cause you to lose a lot of customers since you have no respect for them anyway!

People singing loud and getting drunk. Fun place.

I can't understand the negative comments, the Gregory Pub is just fun and with the new DJ's you can finally get a turn, even if you're not best buddy with the DJ. When you make your wish, the DJ can tell you when your turn will be and how long it will take. I have never experienced this at any other karaoke bar. I can least understand the comments about the obligation to consume. This is a bar that makes money from consuming customers, whether in groups or individuals. I can't get on a train and say everyone else in the group has a ticket, so why do I need one?! I've never had any problems with the bar staff or the bouncer and even when I haven't been there for a few months, I always have the feeling that the staff are happy when you come.

All the bar staff are so aggressive and rude. Even though I had already ordered a beer, after a short while I had to order something else. I was practically forced, otherwise I would have been thrown out. Incredible. Never here again.

Fun karaoke club in Zurich. Everyone had a great time singing along and getting hammered.

Waiting for the microphone one hour! And the bodyguard took it away from our hands and said that it’s close but after give it for another girl! At the end I said it’s not fear and he just kick me out!

We've been accused of disrespect for reasons we don't understand... Bartender's bad day? We will look for other locations for our karaoke evenings in the future.

Very rude staff. We ask for tap water. They said no or pay 5 CHF to get it. Everywhere else in zurich it's for free.

Unfortunately, it's more of a bar for over 40s. The employees were also extremely unfriendly and aggressive. 5 minutes after arriving at the bar we were aggressively attacked by the staff, telling us we should finally buy something otherwise they would throw us out. 0/10

Staff very arrogant & aggressive! After 5 minutes in the bar, I was forced to order something to drink and even threatened that they would kick me and my group out of the bar. NOT RECOMMENDED

Nice place for karaoke! Drinks are very good (but served in plastic cups). The atmosphere is nice. The dj has a wonderful voice (but sings a bit too often and too good so the drunk untalented people feel embarrassed to sing after him :)))

Righi after entering, they forced us to get a Drink… well okay if that is their policy… After two beers and a Rum-Cola(which were meh), I asked for a tap wather and they just said no… In every place in Zurich it is used to get Tap-Water for free… Very disapointing and rude staff..

Yesterday an annoyed, unfriendly barmaid hissed at my pregnant wife and said from now on please only order alcoholic drinks and no more cola. Are you crazy? Come to terms with your job.

Staff is quite unfriendly and petty. You are not allowed to bring in a cup of water from the public fountain and 3CHF is charged for tap water. Location is also pretty boring. There is no room for singing and dancing together either. It's certainly nice without karaoke, but the pettiness of the employees is second to none. Apparently you are also informed if you haven't bought a drink for a while.

There were 20 of us and it felt like the bar had the most sales of the year and we were attacked because we had two 5dl water bottles with us. 1 of which was refilled for us at the bar. Petty, embarrassing and without sensitivity. When the tap water is taken away from the guests. Sorry... Absolute no-go

Crowded place, but good for karaoke. Our drinks were served in plastic cups. It can be a great place, especially late in the night with a group of people…

Actually a very cool karaoke bar but one DJ suddenly refuses to do karaoke and accept requests. So from 5 stars down to 2.

Frustrating karaoke night The 6 of us were in the pub for about 4.5 hours and were able to sing exactly 2 songs. The regular guests were so favored that, not exaggeratedly, every third song was from them. Some guests complained to the DJ, who then freaked out.

All employees except the boss are very unfriendly. The boss is great. Lots of Thai people shouting around. The staff also drinks during working hours and then shouts. The boss is too nice to her employees.

Very funny karaoke bar, unfortunately the liquid bread is rather expensive and sometimes terrible songs. That's probably part of it. Still recommended

A super friendly team. The karaoke facility is the best in the area, so if you like karaoke you can't avoid the Old Gregorys Pub.

Went here for karaoke. The good thing is that everyone sings, so even if you're bad you can still have fun. Bouncers work discreetly but effectively to remove overly drunk people. Rather expensive drinks for the flair of the establishment.

Pretty much the only reason to go here is for karaoke. The bartenders are crabby, or at best indifferent. The food? Ha! So what do you do when the karaoke DJ categorically ignores your group's requests? Not much you can do. Except warn others. You can go for karaoke, but there's a good chance that you will be ignored.

5 stars for sentimental reasons. What do you evaluate with this star system? In my opinion, the personal impression that a corresponding establishment has left in the fleeting memory. One reason for the fleeting nature of memory could be the headache-inducing cheap alcohol or the squeaking of feedback from particularly keen performers. Anyone who would like to express their barely existing artistic talent under the influence of alcohol without the usual threshold of shame is well served here. I'll be back.

Good location for watching rugby, I experienced

My roommate is there almost every Friday, I have to say it's too crowded on weekends, expensive and it gets stolen if you don't take care of your things. I prefer to go to Gregory during the week because there are fewer people and the bar isn't very big.

Pretty cool pub for groups, friendly atmosphere and entertaining karaoke. A lot of fun.

One of the best karaoke places that I know. Only issue I had with them is that the DJ would push certain songs up the queue for some, for a price. But now they have a new DJ who thankfully doesn’t do that. I’m happy to wait my turn, and I’m glad they addressed the issue!

Insider Cafe. If you don't know anyone there, it's boring and if it's full you'll have to wait in line for 10 minutes for a beer. If there are pretty ladies at the counter, you can wait forever.

It's not a great place, a bit smelly and the drinks are not super. It fun, though, if you want to sing a song with your friends.
