Chose this restaurant based on originality of its name. What a choice! Real Indian (Punjabi) cuisine. Exquisite flavours and aromas. Unassuming store front. Go inside. You won’t be disappointed. Better does not exist!

We very often hit Indian restaurants. We will return to Ooh!Curry for sure! There is a lot ot attention around customer care and food quality. We were very impressed!

Ooh curry is our favourite restaurant in Zurich! Shelly and Tarun serve amazing food with so much love for their craft . My favourites are the lunch Thalis, chaas, and the shakarkand sweet potato chat. Best, Srikrishna and Nikkitha

Fabulous place serving the best Keema and Chaat I've had in Switzerland. Absolutely recommend a visit. Service superb with very friendly owner and staff. Will return to enjoy the wide range being served. Don't miss out. It really is very good. Oh and the gulab jamun were great too.

My recent visit to Ooh curry was a gastronomic journey from northern parts to the south of India. The star of the evening, without a doubt, was Nalli Gosht. It was cooked to perfection, meat was tender and the blend of spices felt so authentic and homely. The Hyderabadi Biriyani was also indulging. Lastly, the Rasmalai was perfect to end the evening on a sweet note. Highly recommended!!!

Many other reviews say that the food here is authentic and I couldn't agree more! Their unique menu allows you to try a wide variety of flavours beyond the usual butter chicken (though I'm sure that's great here as well). The murgh malai tikka, roomali roti, nalli gosht, Hyderabadi biryani and Mangalorean fish curry were excellent! Great service, cozy set-up. Will definitely be back.

The Best Indian restaurant in Switzerland

One the best Indian restaurant I have ever had! I was there with my wife and son (all well travelled foodies) and we were pleasantly surprised by the authenticity of the food and the kindness of the personnel. It was a truly authentic Indian food experience with all levels of spiciness you might want yet extremely tasty and well prepared.

Probably the best restaurant in Zurich for Indian food. Prices are on the higher end though.

Did not like this place, different treatment and menu for people ordering take aways vs people dining-in. They had the items which I wanted but they denied it saying that they have to keep it reserved for future customer may come for dine-in and might order the same item. There are better and more welcoming Indian restaurants in Zürich than this one.

A work colleague recommended that one to us saying that it's very authentic and good indian food. It was really great. The staff is also very welcoming and friendly. Finally we found a place for good and authentic Indian food. We will come again 😃

We had a very authentic Indian lunch. Food was super good. Tarun is very welcoming, friendly and a very passionate chef especially with the produce/product used for preparing the dishes. We enjoyed every bit of it and we look forward to dining at Ooh Curry again.

Place I choose to go to when I want delicious food. Week is incomplete for me without a takeaway or dine in from here. Food is delicious. Vegetarian options are a hit and their taste is consistent.

The food was very good and seems healthier and fresher than in other Indian restaurants. One of the lamb dishes comes in a cute small pressure cooker to the table – very cool.

The Indian restaurant impressed me with its delicious naan bread. Overall the food was good and I liked the atmosphere.

This has to be the best meal I have eaten in Zurich. The Service was excellent the food was amazing with some dishes having a new twist. The wine selection was good, really enjoyed the Malbec. Highly recommend and will definitely return

Amazing food, satisfies your Indian palate. Taste and spices "NOT" adjusted according to the European crowd. Authentic Indian food. Friendly staff. Highly recommended if you crave desi food. During my business visit to Zurich I was craving Indian good and found this gem. One of most authentic indian cuisine I have had in Europe. I had Aloo tikki vatana, Panneer butter masala and rumali roti which were amazing. A must visit if you are in Zurich and looking for Indian food..

This place is a must for Indian Food lovers. Most Authentic Indian Food in Zurich Hands down! We tested Naan Kolapuri Nalli Gosht Birayani and sheek kebab. Will be back for more.

Great authentic food, nice people!

The decor and ambience of the restaurant is nice, the restaurant is clean and refreshing. Nice Indian wall hangings and cushions and a cozy modern setup. The person who was serving us was courteous and welcoming and the food arrived on time. The other person was perceivably not. One could overhear some rude conversations on the phone and there was no greeting despite them coming to our table a couple of times. Now comes the big disappointment, the food and drinks. It began with a complementary portion of poppadoms with a refreshing yoghurt dip, Nice! But, it was a hit and miss from here onwards: Vegetarian Momos: They were not flavourful and one had to really rely on the spicy dip for some flavour. I am glad there were only 4 of them in a serving. Palak Paneer: I am a big Palak paneer fan, so is my son (so much, that he immediately asked for it on our arrival). What was presented was far from the authentic Palak Paneer one is used to, a fresh green pureed spinach curry with a creamy texture, rather, the dish served was a common disappointment that one tends to see outside India (shrivelled spinach leaves floating separately in a curry base). The dish was palatable as a whole, but not Palak Paneer, rather a spinach curry with Paneer. Punjabi Dal: This was well done, nice rich flavour. A classic Dal Makhani. Rumali Roti: This is a rarity in Zurich and was really well done. Another big disappointment was the Rampur sour, completely devoid of the flavour and a rather watery concoction. It was supposed to be a Whisky sour made with the "Rampur" Indian whisky. However, the foam was lacking or overpowered by the large cubes of ice and the drink lacked the citrus / sweet and aromatic kick one would typically expect. Oh, be ready to pay 3CHF for tap water. While this can happen in some restaurants in Switzerland, one does not expect the restaurant to sneak it in as ZH2O on the menu. I had high hopes from this place, with recommendations from my friends. EDIT: I am updating my review to 1 (from an initial of 3) star after such a defensive reply by the owner. Not everyone is comfortable giving in-person feedback while being out with family over a dinner and interrupt a calm evening gathering. To clarify the allegation from the owner in their reply, there are no personal comments, it's just that rude and loud conversations happening in the background are unexpected in a fine dining setting.

Ooh! Curry is one of our favorite places to dine in Zurich and especially to satisfy craving for Indian food. Great ambiance, delicious food, lovely staff and sincere service make the visit a wonderful experience overall. Also keep an eye out for the Saturday brunch specials. They are an absolute delight! Totally recommend the restaurant!

Food is authentic. Service was unsatisfactory. We weren't treated very well. Some fuss about the bill as well. He rushed it through the order and stressed us about giving us a table only for sometime even though we called in advance. Then added an extra mango lassi in the bill. When we pointed the mistake he added extra charges for the box, onions which he didn't previously add. We found this unprofessional. Momos 4 pieces, quality meh.

This place is just incredible for devine indian food! It's a small restaurant so can never feel too crowded and the staff are lovely and everything is very welcoming! The food is out of this world and so much of it if you come for the lunch set menu which is incredibly affordable too for what you get! If you come at peak hours, reserve, but for lunch after 1pm it's pretty quiet, so you should be fine!

Not a typical Indian restaurant (North Indian) that you usually find In Europe. I like their unique and short menu. The food tastes delicious. The service is also good. Even though it is a cosy place, however I have to definitely say that it is quite hot inside even with the air-conditioning ON. This is why i gave it three stars ⭐.

The most authentic Indian restaurant in Zurich!!! Having tried quite a few Indian restaurants in Zurich, I can really endorse the taste and quality of Ooh Curry! The combo of Nalli gosht (lamb shank) and rumali roti is something to die for!! Kudos to this amazing team!!

Was not expecting to find authentic indian food in Zurich but I am so glad we stopped here! After a long week of traveling, it felt like I was eating a home cooked meal. We went for lunch and dinner and every single thing we ate was delicious! Highly recommend!

We came to eat here after a 8 day trip around Switzerland and the food was amazing! Best Indian food we had the whole trip. The staff was so nice and welcoming. If you have some time while in Zurich I would recommend eating here for sure! Try to make a reservation in advance tho.

Lunch baby! A great idea to present a lunch offer. Delicious, large quantities and varied in taste. There is basically a choice between “vegetarian” and “meat”, where “meat” includes chicken and prawns. The shrimps are missing from my picture because I'm not a fan of them. The service was super friendly and it was quick. Definitely a recommendation and clear 5 stars!

Im sorry for there is no Photo for the briayani but damn it was out of the world. It is sooooo good n sooo fresh. Had a Lamb Briyani (yes it is Halal). Very authentic lamb briayani. Come do try. Friendly service n the owner is nice too.

We have been here several times, both for Saturday brunch and dinner. The food is awesome, very much the real-deal and not adapted to European palette. Hospitality is great, especially Shellika, who makes you feel at home from the moment you step in. The ambience is cosy and welcoming always. Booking a table in advance is highly recommended since the place is quite busy.

We FINALLY found our very favorite authentic Indian place in Zürich after having tried numerous Indian restaurants! The food is flavorful, diverse, authentic and we feel it was comparable to the gems you can only find in London if you are outside India. Very kind and helpful service, we enjoyed ourselves a lot!

I stumbled onto this place. Chef is very warm and helpful, food is very authentic. Aloo tikki was as good or better than back home. Paneer was as soft and tasteful as in India. Very good balance of spices.

Not bad food but very expansive. I get a very small portion from the meet. With bread. I to tell not even one portion of Reis I pay 26 Franks for a very very small potion on Saturday take way.

Highly authentic Indian cuisine! The quality of the food is shockingly excellent. Absolutely worth it, not to miss! Shakarkhand chaat, rumali roti and malai kofta are must tries. The vegetable biriyani although excellent with a perfectly balanced spice blend, was a tad dry. Highly appreciated the Holi festival special thandai and gujiya!

Best Indian food around. 1. Authentic , less heavy gravy that we invariably find in most Indian restaurants here.. and more home feel to the food. 2. Warm host who stands by highest quality and doesn’t compromise on it. 3. Cozy interiors. Has that indie vibe that’s lively and fun. Not a random Taj Mahal photo ! All in all, a modern yet authentic Indian place. Highly recommend.

Great Indian restaurant serving authentic Indian cuisine! A must go in Zurich!

Cozy Indian restaurant with good food a couple of minutes from Oerlikon train station. I was there for lunch and tried their mixed Thali, with chicken and fish. The food was good, but not spectacular. The chicken was what I liked most, while the spinach were watery. Portions were not huge (e.g. one chicken wing), and a little out of synch with the price (>20 CHF). The place was nicely decorated and had a cool vibe. The staff was friendly and attentive. Overall, a decent Indian option for a quick bite. Looking at other reviews, perhaps other dishes than the daily menu are tastier.

I have been here two times (once for weekday lunch and the second time for Lohri special). The food was not on the level in terms of taste or overall quality as I was expecting after reading the reviews on both occasions. Each time one or two dishes were okay nothing spectacular, but everything else was so so (too salty or too spicy or the dessert too sweet).
