Drank fine wine and, despite the late hour, the service was friendly and relaxed

Reservation worked tip top. The dog was allowed to come along and was quickly given a pot of water. Service was extremely good and friendly to the point of being slightly forgetful. Choice of food is good, there really is something for everyone. The various restaurants within the house have all been renovated very carefully and exceptionally beautifully. All products from the kitchen are fresh and beautifully presented on the plate. Portions are okay too. Interesting and exciting wine list. Highly recommended!

The chief was ill, so all made suchief (young girl). Nice place, just only after rebuilding by new owners. One of the owners manages all, and he is trying his best. Officiants are nice and doing their best also. The food is gut, but as far as I know, it could be better when chief is in place.

The best place in old town. Chef Schmidt and his team made us totally happy and feeling genuinely taken care about. Atmospheric endroit for a romantic dinner or evening with friends, fantastic fish, meat and vegetables variety. Somehow they manage to be very traditional and trendy at the same time. Impressive!

Lunch with colleagues and have to comment on it Menu chosen, i.e. venison ravioli with an indefinable sauce, I think it was a mix of tomato and pumpkin, had to have a lot of parmesan on it so that the plate was edible ..... yes the water was quite ok and it was very loud, a little too loud for my liking The service was friendly and distracted but all in all it was ok second chance is given 🤭

Spontaneous visit to the restaurant. We were greeted personally by the boss at the entrance door. The stylishly designed interior immediately catches your eye. A very original map didn't make our choice easy. The friendly and attentive service helped with the selection. The beautifully presented specialties (Mistkratzerli in the oven, fried with rosemary with Parmesan risotto and the giant prawns fried in the Tegamino) turned out to be an absolute culinary delight. Unique and hard to beat! We'd love to come back!

We spent a very nice and delicious evening at Oskar and Luise. The atmosphere is super nice, stylish and cozy. The service was very courteous, humorous and gave us the best advice. We were also very impressed by the fact that the chef walked past every table, wished you a nice evening and checked again after the meal to make sure everything was okay. The food was also excellent and prepared with a lot of love. The menu is very comprehensive and diverse; vegetarians as well as meat and fish lovers will find something here. We can highly recommend the restaurant.

The food was great, the service was very friendly and accommodating. What made me personally very happy was that the chef went to each table after the meal, introduced himself and asked how satisfied they were. Despite my age (21), I was taken seriously and felt comfortable. Gladly again

The pumpkin ravioli are to die for. Not only 1A ingredients, but also with a large portion of love. So does the map and the design. Pina Luise also 1A. The service? At first it was surprising given so much attention that was lost elsewhere. Here the guest is welcome and gets a smile. I liked the chef's question. A restaurant where you should go. Delicious Italian cuisine, young but very friendly staff. The furnishings are very modern and simple. We'd love to come back.

Starter (Nüsslersalat) and dessert (Tirasmisu) were very good. Unfortunately the beef fillet fell off a bit. It wasn't pared perfectly and I've had better ones in terms of taste. The cooking level was off at first, but that was fixed immediately. The ambience and especially the great service still pulled it out... I'll be back, but next time probably without the fillet

Great location..very nice/sympathetic and attentive service (222😉). The food was clearly tasty. The visual aspect wasn't neglected either. I'd love to go back...although unfortunately not very close to me (ZH).

It was our first time at your place. A beautiful evening in a beautiful place. The gnocchi were very good, the girolles risotto was a little watery, which unfortunately gave a negative touch to the taste. On the other hand, the tiramisu was very good. And the fact that the chef came by the table was very nice. One small point of criticism: A slight lack of professionalism when ordering and asking questions about well-being, which only communicates with the man and not also with the woman at the table.

A beautiful menu with a great selection of Dry Aged meats. Friendly and smiling service. Quiet terrace in the middle of Solothurn's old town. Good products are served there. We had a pleasant time and chef Markus had something to do with his good wine advice.

Located downtown. We had lunch on a weekday. Welcoming and kind staff. Good and nice food. Just a small note, the bread bags should perhaps be washed a little more often. However, OK.

Five of us went to Oskar & Luise during the Solothurn Literature Days and had a table upstairs in the beautifully renovated historic hall. The food was also wonderful for vegetarians (blood orange risotto, pumpkin ravioli!), fine wine and friendly service. Gladly again!

The basis of classic cuisine is noticeable and pleasantly complemented by Mediterranean cuisine. The braised Gitzi shoulder really pleased my Graubünden heart!

Very good restaurant, the meat of impeccable quality, and the cooking always very respected at the customer's request (something which is becoming rare.) The boss presents himself at the table with great respect, I love him.. I highly recommend this restaurant

Beef Swiss was delicious and the small, crispy fries were delicious until there wasn't a single piece left.

I would give 3.5 stars if I could. I've been there three times now and twice I received great service. The food was always really good, but not very special. Last time there were two temporary staff working in service who didn't do a very good job. When we placed the order we ordered two bottles of water and wine. When the starters arrived, the drinks were not yet on the table and were only brought when asked. When the starters were cleared away, it took less than five minutes for the main course to arrive, which was much too quick for me because one person at our table went to the toilet after the starter and so the food got cold while we waited. When the main course came, the one helper in front of me leaned over the table to put the plate of the person next to me. There would have been enough space behind us, and the temporary worker also said to me: “Attention.” For the risotto, which came in a separate bowl, we only received ONE spoon when we asked, and only when we asked again did we all receive a spoon. It's really complaining on a high level, but I think this kind of criticism is appropriate at these prices. If I went to a restaurant just because of the good food and not because of the service, I could cook myself.

The meal was really excellent. I recommend the risotto with blood oranges, parmesan and shrimp, really killer! The service was also excellent. The wine offered was delicious and went very well with our dishes! Very good experience, I highly recommend!

This place is definitely underrated. We went here for dinner and a cigar in the lounge afterwards. We were greeted and served by super friendly, professional and attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious and some of the dishes quite unique. On top of that the restaurant had an amazing and relaxing atmosphere. Overall this is definitely worth visiting (and coming back).

I visited this restaurant with a friend on January 28, 2023 because we wanted to have lunch. We both received a very friendly welcome and were given a few seats. The menu looked straightforward, which is always a good sign. The prices are very reasonable for medium-sized businesses. We were allowed to order quickly and received our Pinsen (= a form of pizza). Very fresh, very tasty, very warm! Afterwards I ordered a coffee crème, also very nice. :) Later the chef even came by and personally wished everyone a nice day. Very cool! I would be happy to come back with this friend to try out other things here. ^_^

(N)once and never again! I made reservations for the employee Christmas dinner over a month in advance. The appointment was confirmed to me by personal email. Unfortunately, the reservation could no longer be found on that day. The waiter disappeared with my cell phone, which had the email on it, only to return with the message that there had probably been a mistake. They now have a large banquet on the first floor. And there would be no free tables downstairs in the restaurant. We were told we would get the first available table. Well it was 7pm on a Friday and the prospect of waiting at least an hour was not an option for me and my hungry co-workers. Mistakes can happen. But unfortunately I haven't received an apology email or anything like that to date.

We visit Oskar & Luise often. Every visit is a highlight. Sociable, nice and professional staff very accommodating. The food was excellent.

We got a free table very spontaneously, as the restaurant was quite fully booked. I haven't eaten as well as I did last night in a long time. The food as well as the dessert were a dream (the meat was cooked to perfection) and also highly recommended and the service was phenomenal! New favorite restaurant! I'll be back! 🥰

Were there with 23 people, all with business connections in the region..Pre-ordered the menu (T-bone steak) for CHF 58.- and looked forward to it all day..Received at the table: 3 thin slices of meat, some spinach and 4 small potatoes.. meat quality TOP, but not enough for this price.. then had to go to the Mc Donalds in Zuchwil..

Price performance is not right at all.

Restaurant looks very nice, service was great too! The food was also very tasty, it's not dishes you can get in every restaurant. However, this is a great change and you can try out some new dishes and combinations. You also have a lot to choose from, from meat to fish, vegetarian and everything your heart desires.

A great discovery in the old town of Solothurn. To try at all costs.

Total disappointment! Although the service and the ambience were good, the food was a total failure. Buffalo mozzarella and tomatoes looked like they were in a train station bistro in a small town in northern Germany. The tomatoes were not ripe and tasted watery. The sirloin steak was certainly good meat, but was absolutely amateurishly prepared, it looked as if someone had balanced a piece of meat and not fried it.

The “Oskar & Luise” was built in a building with a long inn history. The name comes from a married couple who ran the inn for almost 40 years at the beginning of the last century. The aim is obviously upscale Italian (Neapolitan?) cuisine. The interior has been tastefully renovated and I really like it. The service was very friendly and pleasant. There is still some excitement from the reopening. Reasonably priced, the food was tasty, but not perfect. The soup was a bit too hearty, but the salad was a bit boring. The main course consisted of beautifully crunchy brocoli, a creamy and just-right saffron risotto and a hearty Neapolitan roast pork. So I see potential for optimization in the kitchen, but I'll be happy to come back. Wish the friendly team much success.
