Beautiful grotto - quite “noble” but honest. Super friendly and the food was great! It was difficult to decide from the rather small menu. We would love to come back 👍 We “hiked” from Maggia to the grotto. We recommend.

In autumn 2019 I've had dinner here. This cosy little restaurant is a hidden gem. Had an absolutely wonderful meal at this local place. You won't regret this choice. Small update, now 2023, and the place is still amazing, here you'll find the best chocolate ice-cream ever 🤤❤️

We ate very well here! There was homemade olive bread with the salad, which was awesome. The spaghetti carbonara we ordered was top notch! It will be hard for future carbonaras at another restaurant to compete. The service was very friendly and efficient

After two days of polenta and bean stew in Ticino, we longed for fine cuisine in a dignified atmosphere. We found what we were looking for in the Osteria Cramalina and enjoyed the culinary highlight of our holiday. The employees were extremely courteous, friendly and professional. The food was wonderful, the place in the small village was special, the dessert was il migliore in the Locarnese and the service was attentive and friendly. Thank you! The detour to Lodano was worth it! Maggia Valley cycle route!

A culinary highlight of our trip. The one-hour journey by bike was completely worth it. -The pork fillet is really juicy and makes a dream.

In the heart of the charming village of Lodano with its ancient buildings, you will have the pleasant surprise of discovering the Osteria Cramalina and its pretty terrace. You will be greeted by very friendly waiters who will present the menu to you, filled with dishes that will make your mouth water. We had pasta. Boring you might say? On the contrary, we were surprised by so much deliciousness, subtlety and refinement. In a word: Perfecto!

❤️We were recommended to eat 5 with friends here yesterday. a fantastic little restauant👍🏼❤️🏆. it is worth taking the menu surprise! Despite 5 courses, the portions are large, sometimes almost too large. but every single component is made with love and is simply sensational in taste and presentation. For me the highlight of the whole menu is definitely the champagne truffle noodle course, the best truffle noodles in a long time, I hope they'll be back next time. wine (le volte) very recommendable also the price performance is right there. Unfortunately it rained yesterday, the garden outside looked fantastic to sit in and we will definitely be back! a must for every lover of fantastic restaurants & a worthwhile visit for Ticino enthusiasts! 100 points.

We stopped here during our hike and ate incredibly delicious tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms and wild boar entrecote. An unforgettable pleasure for a hike with a great view of the small piazza. Highly recommended.

Hidden but sensational 👍 No matter whether you just take something small or go all the way up to the Menu Surprise. Everything was very skilfully staged, the waiter sang and the plate served was a poem for the eyes and palate. Today we were guests of the Osteria Carmalina, with our friend Trifone Mazzone The first impact, very welcome as after a long time, welcomed us with a greeting and honorable enthusiasm. A menu characterized by a high gastronomic experience and a service that meets what a demanding customer expects. The various dishes, rich in distinct flavors and aromas, perfectly cooked in every detail and presentations at the level of the total labels! In particular the low temperature cooking of the duck breast, which, at first glance, seems dry, when you taste real butter combined with its orange sauce, a real delight. Small Osteria, cozy, a bit outdated, but it fits. The food is at a star level and the waiter is top.😁😁The whole evening was perfectly served with a top red wine with the meal. We'll be back. Prices for the level are justified. It was a great, quiet and relaxed evening 😁😁

A lovely place in the village of Lodano, sitting under the natural shade of vine grapes. Perfect after a walk or hike.

The Cramalina in Lodano was reopened in March 2019. The reception was very polite. The service woman tried very hard to explain the menu to me in German but also in Italian! I really like the ambience in this small restaurant, snow-white tablecloths and a small red rose on every table as a lovely decoration. The food that was served after a very short time was sensational! The head chef stopped by and greeted me warmly. The starter, salmon with green apple sauce, was perfectly prepared. The lamb fillet with a gratinated crust is perfect. The wine selection is good, but could be a little more extensive given such good cuisine! Will definitely come back! Insider tip in the Maggia Valley!
