Panetteria Poncini in Maggia

I ate the worst Panettone of my life. Dry and the chocolate was not good at all. Zero uniformity and zero development.

Anyone traveling in the Maggia Valley should definitely not miss a stop at this bakery. A large selection of the finest panettones are offered here. The bread is also good. We always come back again and again.

The thing I hate most is buying a fresh cream croissant and they give you the one from the day before. I'm disappointed 😞 and I don't think I'll go back

In the middle of the village, a bit difficult to find. A house full of delicacies! It's always been a little more expensive to have good taste, but it's worth it!

Panettone as its best. 5 stars of Google cannot reflect the quality of them. They have over 20 types of panettone, all their creations.. Combinations are amazing and the consistency of the dough... Not to top! P.s. Don't consider the low ratings, they are all completely irrelevant, partly absurd.

Delicious panettone, we couldn't eat enough of it, juicy and fragrant. Very tasty cakes and bread. Nice and friendly service. I highly recommend it, especially since the bakery wins prestigious awards :)

Instead of buying bread at the Coop we made the detour to get it at the bakery and unfortunately we were not able to buy bread because we did not have cash and to pay by card you need an amount minimum of CHF 10.–! Too bad this still happens in our time....

Just fantastic! Indescribable! Excellent! There is no better panetteria than Poncini. Every year she receives a well-deserved award. The panettone is fresh, juicy and sweet (but not too sweet). They come in many variations - cherry, apricot, forest fruits, chocolate, blueberries or traditional. And I will say this, before Poncini I was not a fan of panettone and I was for years. Ever since I've known Poncini, I've been addicted to it. The Valle Maggia bread is also excellent. Just the right acidity and a nice crust. That's how it has to be. Of course there are lots of other goodies! Unfortunately it is closed on Sundays and no shopping is possible during the lunch break. You usually have to wait in line... In rare cases, you even have to wait in line for up to 30 minutes in front of the store, because the store is tiny and the crowds are big. But it's worth it!!! Danger! No card payment possible. Cash is a MUST.

The best panettone... but not only: the cakes, the bread, the pastries... everything is really excellent. A long-time customer, it's always a pleasure to visit the shop in Maggia. And when I can't go directly, I place an order on the Online Shop and a few days later everything arrives in Lausanne. Absolutely recommended!

Very pretty and sweet jewel in the heart of Maggia. Be sure to try the fine panettone in all variations.

Rewarded for the chocolate panettone, but you cannot reserve it, you are advised to try to go to the shop in Maggia, (retailers only have the other panettone) and if you are lucky maybe you will find it. Otherwise there are many other types of panettone. Maggia isn't really on the street, I don't think for anyone. And if you have an exceptional recipe for a type of panettone, the customer wants that product, not the others. So maybe producing what the customer wants wouldn't be easier? Too bad, a wonderful missed opportunity for everyone.

We enjoyed the fine baked goods from Poncini every morning. I can recommend bread and croissants. Centrally located in the village of Maggia. Closed on Sunday.

The panettone is great in quality and price. Unfortunately the sales staff was very busy on October 8th, 2021. very impolite. Obviously this was not necessary.

I ordered a Black Forest cake for 8 people by email for my wife's 40th - there was even an individual lettering and the cake was super delicious. Local pickup worked without any problems, thank you very much Poncini team

Today on Easter day we ate the pastry colomba with cream filling freshly baked a couple of hours ago fabulous simply fantastic compliments for the quality the only regret is for those who have never tasted it

The panettone is really very good! Unfortunately, 16.- shipping costs were charged for a package that was less than 2 kg and another 15.- shipping fee was charged for the next order, which I find very outrageous since the products are not cheap either. It's a shame, I won't order from them anymore. Apparently their customers aren't worth much to them.

I love panettone and have tried many, including the noble panettone from Globus or Fiasconaro. However, Poncini's panettone is by far the best!!! Buttery, aromatic, not too sweet, moist and very balanced, with no artificial flavors. The amaretti is also great, I can only recommend it. Delivery is quick and easy. I will only buy panettone from Poncini.

Poncini may produce the best panettone. Last year I asked by letter/telephone to conduct a production tour with a group of people with disabilities. No, we don't want people like that with us. Since then, I have not bought Poncini products when I am traveling in Ticino.
