Good but very expensive for the daily menu, the starter of the day at 27chf and the dish of the day at 36chf. Damage!

Excellent pasta! Perfection!! I had the spaghetti alla chitarra and the tiramisu. Thank you to The NY Times for recommending this gem. “The name of this spaghetti comes from the tool (the so-called chitarra, lit. 'guitar') this pasta is produced with. This tool gives the spaghetti its name, shape, and a porous texture that allows pasta sauce to adhere well to the pasta itself.” Wiki

One of the most cute and well thought Italian Restaurant cuisine in Geneva The menu is simple and with very few selected culinari choices that elevate the quality of the food and the mind blowing culinary experience They do not have vegan choices but if you can make a night exception being vegetarian, the menu can offer few option in that case for you as well.

Food fairly good besides the tiramisu which is far from being a real Italian tiramisu. OK setting. Service was fine till the moment the manager ran after me asking for an additional payment (after I paid the bill 10min ago). They apparently “made a mistake…”. Such a shame, after letting bunch of money, that the manager behaved quite aggressively after I mentioned that she demonstrated a serious lack of business acumen. Would they offer the coffee or the desert as a commercial gesture? Of course no! Even though the food was good, that bitter after taste made this experience a disaster. I will not come back to this place.

I have a somewhat shared opinion regarding this restaurant, but the predominant feeling is disappointment with respect to what I expect from a Michelin restaurant. I ordered the coda alla vaccinara as a starter. It was good, but it was quite “strong/heavy” and the flavor of the scamorzza was not very present. It is certainly not the pinnacle of gastronomic refinement. The dish of the day, the agnolotti, was very good, accompanied by a tasty sauce and pistachios, traditional cuisine slightly revisited. The worst has been their “version” of tiramisu, a ball of hard, industrial chocolate ice cream swimming in a cup of mascarpone cream. The two textures do not work, the combination does not contribute anything taste-wise to the traditional version, zero coffee flavor, zero quality dark chocolate flavor. Any tiramisu from any average Italian restaurant is better than this attempt at creative originality. Friendly and professional service. Prices disproportionate to the quality and originality of the cuisine. I would not go back.

Excellent cuisine, high quality products, high price

The food is excellent (Fettuccine al ragout). On the other hand, the glass of wine was much too expensive (20 CHF) compared to the quantity poured. At such a price, the least we could have done would have been to announce the price and pour the correct quantity.

Very traditional Italian food, and everything is very tasty. In Geneve it was a bit annoying to find a nice place to eat, but I HIGHLY recommend Osteria della Bottega to go to! You won't regret it. Apart from the service, it was wonderful and special.

Stunning! Everything was going perfectly until the revisited tiramisù. This version with chocolate ice cream is a failure for my taste but it probably all depends on taste! Go for it without hesitation.

Had the Bolognese and the pumpkin gnocchi and both were excellent. Portion size of the main is ok but with some additional menu options as an entre makes for a filling meal. Just be wary of the 25chf 1dl single glass of wine options that may be suggested...! The gelato tiramisu for dessert is also recommended.

I went there to try the fettuccine all Bolognese… and I had a full meal! For starters I ordered the special which was a tomato mozzarella cream salad. Presentation was beautiful, but the tomatoes were too cold - almost as if they’d come out of the fridge - and had lost much of their taste. The fettuccine were the highlight of the meal: al dente like I love, a beautiful sauce and a lot of parmesan (very tasty one too) on top! 10/10 for me. For dessert, I ordered the tiramisu. It was served with a ball of chocolate ice cream inside, which I wasn’t crazy about. The whole thing tasted very good though. Overall, it was a beautiful dinner. Service was great. The decor is amazing too.

Good Italian, expensive for what it is, in a magnificent setting in the heart of the old town. It’s a shame that the service lacks friendliness. We were looking forward to coming back, the desire has passed.

I had a disappointing experience at this restaurant. The chicken dish I ordered was undercooked, and the shrimp spaghetti didn't meet my expectations, Unfortunately, the poor service further added to the disappointment.

We went with a big group from work. We ordered some appetizers for the table including croquettes, mortadella, burrata. For main course I got the bacala followed by raspberry cheesecake for dessert. Everything was delicious and service was good too.

One staff would ruin my dinner and evening, but I decided to ignore her lack of professionalism, respect and short temper. However, the owners should pay attention to whom they employ and entrust the terrace services.... what a pity such nice drinks and food not to be nicely served....

Very nice Osteria in one of the prettiest location in Geneva. Service is excellent, food is also very well prepared and tasty. Pasta with Ragù is highly recommended, the one we tried with shrimps was not as nice. I also tried the risotto recently and it was interesting. Good selection of wine. Prices are correct for the quality. I recommend to go there as a group to try more dishes and share.

Great food and wine and a very nice location

Very solid pasta restaurant with great service and a beautiful location in old town. It draws tourists but didn’t feel like a trap. The highlight was the wine list and very helpful sommelier who offered glasses of incredible wine. I hoped the food would be a little more unique hence the 4/5.

Went there for a business dinner and it was great. Special mention for the croquette and the truffle gnocchi (out of menu special). The ragú was also good. Expensive but worth it.

Very poor reception. We left after 10 minutes. The staff said they were in the mood but there was a maximum of 30 people. I did a lot more in catering. We don't have time to be educated out loud in front of the whole terrace.

An excellent Italian restaurant abroad: often in Italy you don't eat so well. The mix of starters: excellent with top quality ingredients. Quick service and attentive to customer needs. Flawless first and second courses. Extensive wine list. In addition to the pleasant internal rooms, in mild seasons it is possible to dine in the outdoor area in front of the restaurant. In the room the lighting and acoustics are perfect.

Outstanding food, served by a lovely team in a beautifully designed space. Dining here feels like attending a dinner party at the home of a stylish Italian friend, who also happens to be a world-class chef. Every single bite was spectacular (the oxtail croquette is a standout dish) and the wine list is superb. Osteria della Bottega is everything a fine dining experience should be - my wife and I could not have been more impressed with the food, the ambiance, or the team.

Not all that impressive restaurant with not many characters. So you know before you go. Waste of time & money.

I know this place since its opening. After a wonderful start, I admit there has been a moment when the price-for-the-quality had been disappointing. More recently, the place is definitely back on the map of the great restaurants in Geneva. Prices remain on the high side, but justified by the great food and kind & attentive service. Their plat de résistance is the tagliatelle al ragù, which I strongly recommend.

Great cooking, wonderful service and very good wine list! The food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection. Small menu but something for everyone. The portions are generous so be prepared for a proper feast if you tend to order with “your eyes” as I did. Do not miss their ragù - it’s so so good!

The best restaurant in Geneva Pasta and Beans TOP! Impeccable service

We had dinner here last Saturday (De ember 17) and fell in love with the Osteria della Bottega: everything was perfect, friendly, relaxed, convivial, warm - on a cold winter’s evening.- And the food was outstanding, well spiced and balanced, full of flavour. Tante grazie, Kali orexi, dank U wel ;-)

Warmth, competence and affability. If the cuisine is of a high standard and the raw materials of the first order, with an excellent variety of meat, fish and land products, what pushed me to return to the Osteria several times is the preparation, genuine kindness and high professionalism of the people who take care of the service, from the person who welcomes us, to the person who serves the dishes and recommends wine pairings. For me and my wife it is undoubtedly a place of the heart here in Geneva and we plan to return whenever we want to pamper ourselves, relax, celebrate our birthdays or simply recharge our batteries. Highly recommended (if you hadn't figured it out).

Eating well Italian food abroad is never a given. The tavern is definitely a pleasant place to try, personally I would have preferred a more basic cuisine. I am referring in particular to the knife-cut meat tartare that I tasted. Quality raw materials and attentive, super-friendly service.

Staff very rude and was not accommodating to dietary restrictions

Non white customer beware. This restaurant is racist. Came here with my dad and they refused to seat us and when we asked why, they said thet would call the police. the restaurant was empty and they sat a customer right after us. They wouldn’t give us a reason , we are people of color. Disgusting behavior.

Very nice ambience, the waitress was great and food excellent. Really worth spending a cozy evening there - we had a great time. Ah - one small watch-out … we selected the day’s special, assuming it was an average price while it turned out to be super expensive compared to other options in the menu … we should have asked / he should have said 🤷🏼‍♂️

Frankly our friend said that this is her favorite restaurant, we don't have all the same tastes! A SINGLE page for starter/menu/dessert. And the prices! And my dish which was an evening dish: the lamb was so fatty no way! And no soft drink (cold tea/Coke) if we don't drink alcohol do we do cmt? Some water? Thanks but I drink water at home. We find better in Geneva when mm. Once but not twice! ABE

The food is delicious, the place is cozy and has a good atmosphere. The mortadella was exquisite, but we waited almost an hour just for that. The ragout was very delicious, but I think we paid a lot to eat mortadella and pasta.

Very good meal, and spectacular wine list

Great experience! We were 4 friends and had as a starter and to share the oxtail croquette with scarmoza, as well as the mortadella and the tartare. The croquette won hands down, crispy and tasty as can be! As for Mortadella, nothing very impressive but we must highlight the creamy mozzarella that comes with it and which is a real delight, the star of the dish I would even say. Finally the tartare lacked salt and the sort of cream/cheese that accompanies it masks the taste of meat that has been stale for 5 weeks, it's a real shame!! In terms of dishes we had the fettuccine and a beef tagliata, very good, the charcoal cooking brings real added value to the tagliata, it's a shame that the maître d' didn't tell us the price of this suggestion of the day , we would certainly have ordered one or two more instead of the fettuccine. As for the wines, don't let yourself be impressed by the bible that is the Osteria wine list or by its prices! There are real gems in the more affordable prices, notably the Ciclope 2015! Finally, the desserts were also up to par, the tiramisu is exceptional but the fact that it is unstructured makes tasting it somewhat complicated because it is difficult to have all the elements in one spoon! Honestly, the cheesecake deserves its paragraph. It was a religious experience for the whole table, we recommended it elsewhere, the biscuit is exceptionally fine and perfectly crunchy, the mixture is super creamy without becoming heavy and it is a real miracle, I would be delighted to receive the recipe please!!!! Thank you very much, we will come back!

The starters (tartar and beef croquette were very over-salted. Croquette has a melted cheese inside and we were not warned about it !!! The pork was pretty good. Tiramisu with ice cream on bottom (never heard is may be made this way) was again, just average. Was expecting much better food from such a restaurant. Bottom line, very average food, I would not recommend this place.

Sooo good! This was our favorite restaurant in all of Geneve. Food was incredible and the service was perfect. Maybe the best steak salad I’ve ever had. We had lunch with our baby and they were super accommodating of everything we needed.

Had an amazing meal at Osteria fella bottega a few weeks ago. The restaurant is located in the old town and they had set up tables outside during the summer. The food was excellent and the service really was impeccable; personal and not too stiff. The standout for me was the beef tongue croquette - the textures, the plating, the flavor - incredible! Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for an Italian place in geneva.

Excellent food, competent staff

Even though it was a Tuesday night at 9pm, it was packed and there was a wait. Everything on the menu was super expensive and it took a long time to get. But the presentation was very nice. It was a hot meal and a good proportion was served. The gnocchi was good but extremely soft. Too soft. The fettuccine with beef was very good. No one attended to us much throughout the meal but that was ok. We smelled a lot of other guests’ smoke which was not appealing.

Before I talk about the food, I want to say thank you to the waiter (I think he was manager though). We were about to leave after paying our bill but he stopped us because there was a mistake made in our bill and we payed a bit more than we were supposed to. He was very fast to identify the mistakes made in our bill and made corrections in no time. This restaurant has brilliant people working inside. Now for the food, it was amazing. My girlfriend and I loved the oxtail dish so much. The restaurant most likely spends many hours and effort to make the oxtail dish and it was so tender and delicious. My salad was very fresh and tasty as well. The signature pasta was amazing. We’ve tried so many pasta in Italian restaurants in different cantons but were always disappointed in the end, until we tried eating at Osteria della Bottega. We will come back here for sure. I personally hope to try every dish the restaurant offers to customers. My only disappointment is that this restaurant is 2 hours away from where I live 😞 Thank you for the great food and service!!

Amazing food with a very nice service

This restaurant has awesome, chic vibe. Menus are available in French & Italian, most of the staff spoke English. Lunch service mainly consisted of business people (blue suits must be standard issue in Geneve) and remained quiet while being full. We ordered starter salads (fresh, delicious, huge) and fettuccine w beef (another large portion) which was excellent al dente pasta.

The food was average: - the pasta taste was far from the promise, the octopus hardly highlighted by the banal sauce. - the disappointing pork neck, visually uninteresting and very bland tastes. - decreasing prices have no link with the offer. Disappointing and we won't be back. Damage !

Best italian table in Geneva... for two...))

It’s always been my favourite and it never ever fails.....from the welcome at the door, to the food to the service at table - there’s no restaurant who can match that level in Geneva. Just wonderful! The food, the staff and the ambiance! I sat on the outside patio mid afternoon and watched the world go by! You won’t regret stopping.
