Good ambience. Attentive, friendly and competent service. Pizza Bufalina was actually good, but the middle of the pizza was watery due to the melted buffala and therefore the dough was very soggy and no longer crispy.

We went to Osteria Vista for lunch. Our first visit to this restaurant and probably not the last. The welcome was very friendly and warm. We immediately felt at home, and the atmosphere certainly contributed to that. Stefan's service was attentive, friendly and very accommodating. A professional who knows how to make guests feel good. The kitchen performed solidly. We ordered various dishes and we were very satisfied with the quality and performance of the kitchen. Solid craftsmanship, good products and delicious food made from them. The portions could even be a bit smaller. We can only recommend Osteria Vista, the visit is definitely worth it.

This place is great, everything about it, all the food, the service, the atmosphere, location (best lake front on the lake of Zurich). Parking is fairly easy, or it is a short nice walk from the train station.

Very long waiting time! Salad and vegetables probably convenience food. A lot of sauce thickener and fat. Has nothing to do with Italian cuisine. Definitely not worth the price. It's a shame, because the ambience and the space would otherwise be very nice.

Table reserved, was then miraculously already taken... waited 1 hour... then turned away. Instead of a nice apology, the mistake was blamed on us in an unpleasantly arrogant manner. Very, very disappointing. Goodbye and never see you again 👋

Unfortunately, they fail to present true Italian cuisine. Pizza was ok, the rest of the dish was good but not really Italian...

Very bad service 1/2 hour...2 hours until someone comes over to ask. This is the second time this has happened to us with and without a reservation

Restaurant test. Positive: Location nice. Staff makes an effort. Wine is presented in bottle, possibility of preliminary tasting. Fresh main course products. Negative: Salad had limp old leaves (presumably before filling the bowls to save time). Water was poured violently into glasses, the tablecloth was wet. Table seating far too narrow and close to other tables! Restaurant was crowded! Difficult to understand own words. Olive oil, salt and pepper were missing from the tables, just like before! Rapid price increase of pizza a year ago 29.- Today 35.- same product. General: Offer on the menu is small. Price range too high. Because of the location at the harbor they can charge this price range.

Went there in the evening, the food was very good and the gentleman who served us was obviously very knowledgeable about the wine list.

Overall, a very pleasant restaurant in a top location, right in the small harbor of Lachen. The quality and selection of the food was very good, but seasoned sparingly. Very friendly and attentive staff. The only thing I didn't like was one situation. We got a drinks menu. From there we selected 0.5 liters of water and a cola. Cola should cost 5 CHF and water 5.80 CHF. When ordering, however, it means: we don't have Cola, only Pepsi, which I thought was ok and not 0.5L but 0.8L of water, but that was fine too. What I don't think is right is that both of these drinks were expensive. And the waitress didn't mention that. From 10 CHF it was suddenly 15 CHF for actually the same drinks. I saw it on the bill too late. I don't like that. Otherwise it was a pleasant visit 👍

Good pizzas. I found prices to be generally high, especially for what we ordered, pizza and non-alcoholic drinks.

Unfortunately a bit disappointing. It was completely different a few years ago. We had to wait 30 minutes before a waiter noticed us. Were simply ignored for a long time. The manager wasn't particularly nice. We wanted to sit outside but the manager cleared the seats and we asked if it was going to rain and she replied if we couldn't see for ourselves?! It didn't rain then. The lukewarm chocolate cake used to be better/different. A pity..

The food and location were top - service was a bit of a flop! You notice here that you are simply paying for the location. Regular guests are treated, sometimes like the last three... The focus here is probably more on "day tourists".

Food was very good. When the weather is nice, the view of the lake is fantastic and you can watch the sunset over Lake Zurich. The waiter was very motivated and always put a smile on your face. The only negative was the slightly longer waiting times caused by a full restaurant

The only thing that bothered me was that it was loud.

Very good quality of food at a fair price

My family and I visited the restaurant for dinner this evening (11th Sept) at 8:30 pm. This was our second visit to the restaurant in the last 4 days as we enjoyed the food, the service and the ambience very much on our previous visit. However this evening we were extremely disappointed with the service. We were served dinner by this Asian waitress who had a very arrogant and condescending attitude. She needs to be trained to behave in a polite and courteous manner with guests before being allowed to serve meals. Very disappointed.

Everything was excellent from the welcome to the food, deliciously prepared and presented. We had a great time.

Great food 🥘, very nice service, but there are also a few negative points. I've been to the Marina several times and since I come from the catering industry I noticed a few things. Credit card devices are old, not enough, and no longer work so well (try 5-6 times before the card is accepted, time wasted)

Always top 👌 The food is very tasty. The service is very friendly and helpful. In some cases the service is understaffed and there are waiting times, but the location and the surrounding area make up for it. We always enjoy coming, winter and summer.

What should be emphasized is the friendliness and openness of the service. We had a lovely evening with Kristina as host. The ambience is dignified and unobtrusive, you feel comfortable. The food and wine are characterized by a good price/performance ratio and, above all, the pizzas are excellent. I'd love to come back. In my opinion, reservations are recommended.

A beautiful location directly on the upper Lake Zurich in Lachen. The food and the service staff were very friendly. Sometimes it took a long time until someone served us. The kitchen is very good. It is definitely worth visiting the restaurant. A reservation is absolutely mandatory, otherwise you won't find a place.

Absolutely top! Tastes great, has children menu! Overall quality far exceeded our expectations ! Plus the amazing view over the lake!

Location great, food great, but the best thing was the friendly and attentive service…wrong decision made…but you wanted pasta, no problem, quickly ran into the kitchen and reordered. Ps the greeting from the house was classy and fine

The best pizza in Lachen, especially because they offer a delicious whole wheat dough.

We often and very much enjoy coming here as guests, including last night. The food and staff is always excellent. But yesterday we were really amazed. Our daughter celebrated her birthday and everyone congratulated her. For dessert, two waitresses brought her a cake with a sparkler and a singing song - simply beautiful! Keep it up and see you next time!

Friendly service with a full house, food was good and now here's the thing, it was EXTREMELY expensive!!! It's not understandable how these prices come about, location, ambience, products when shopping, occupancy, catching up after the pandemic, no I think it's just megalomania and the old simple rip-off!!!!

The food was excellent. The service (waitress & waiter) too. Of course, the location right on the lake too. I would give this 5 stars. But what I have never experienced is the following: We have reserved for 10 people. One person then canceled by phone. As the reservationist, we also had to pay for a meal for this tenth person. Where can you find something like that? Can we eat the food we paid for but didn't eat later or should we have taken it with us? :-)

Excellent restaurant located directly on Marina Lachen with mesmerizing views especially in sunset times. One can sit at the terrace and enjoy the sunset or sunny days at noon. Food is also delicious and would highly recommend their wooden oven pizzas! Service is also good and the waiters are friendly. They also have an area on the terrace for drinks, ice creams and a small bite which is perfect for an aperitive. Recommended!

Too expensive, poor pizza selection.

The food and welcome were great, the service was friendly but unfortunately a little unsure, we had to order the wine list twice and the bill twice. Unfortunately, on the second visit to the same service, the bill was ordered again 3 times. A pity! I would still like to come back. Kind regards

There was nothing wrong with the food. Unfortunately, our responsible service person wasn't really attentive. However, her colleague noticed her carelessness and continued to serve us.

Always appears busy, which is a good sign, lovely location, especially when the weather is clear, sun kissed views of the lake marina and undulating green hills. English menus available, plus the waitress spoke English, which was a bonus for us, she was friendly polite and informative about the food and wine, speciality is pizza, and pastas, reasonably priced.

Great pizza eaten, they are really great!! Went there spontaneously on Sunday lunchtime, two families with 3 small children... They were super child-friendly, special requests were also accepted and not charged for. There was also no charge for the “tap water”; we were all very positively impressed. Keep it up!

I was just a guest at the Osteria. Normally I like to eat in the steakhouse next door after an evening at the Christmas market. Since it has a well-deserved rest day on Tuesday, I saw the Osteria as a suitable alternative. From the first moment on, the staff was so disastrously unsympathetic that we didn't even have dinner. The arrogance of the service staff almost gave me the feeling that I should serve them and not they serve me. In the steakhouse you are greeted with a friendly kiss on the hand, but in the osteria you actually feel very unwanted. So I drank my cup of tea out of politeness and then bought a salad at the train station. Dear people, before you spend your money in the Osteria to be treated disrespectfully and to have your mood spoiled after a beautiful Christmas evening, I recommend you buy a bratwurst at the Christmas market 50 meters away. You will be warmly served with gratitude and a smile. I don't usually write reviews on Google, but this evening was just too shockingly disrespectful not to warn others.
