I was visiting today, apparently I was unlucky! ribeye had to be remade because the first one was tough and inedible! vegetables heartless and without taste? The staff was very friendly and responded promptly! For this price segment, I demand perfection, unfortunately it wasn't! very unfortunate!

Was there today. I stood at the reception for 15 minutes behind a lady who had a baby with her. Neither the lady nor I was greeted or noticed in any way. The funny or sad thing is that I just wanted to ask if there was still room... An absolute no go for this price range. The food is massively overpriced.

The review here mainly refers to the service (the food is great and we rated it separately). We have visited the Steakhouse at Marina several times, sometimes for dinner and sometimes in the morning, where the hotel's breakfast buffet is located. Unfortunately, the service staff is unfriendly and annoyed by the guests' various concerns, which they gladly and openly show. We were a large wedding party, a considerable part of which also stayed overnight in the hotel. We were told by our guests (some of whom had traveled specifically from Israel and were correspondingly tired and exhausted), and in some cases we experienced it ourselves, that they were asked to leave the restaurant in annoyance after the time for breakfast had expired but was still sitting at breakfast while two other guests who were not part of the group were allowed to calmly continue drinking their coffee. When I asked politely whether I could have a coffee, I was told, “Yes, yes, the coffee is coming, don't worry,” and when asked whether you could have a tomato, “If you want a tomato, go to that one.” Supermarket". This is just outrageous and cheeky. It's a shame, because the Hotel Marina offered incredible service during the wedding reception and tried to accommodate practically all of our wishes. We would want to celebrate our wedding there again at any time. Above all, the event managers, Nadine Graf and Zoe de Wijdt, deserve great praise. But the behavior of the service staff at the breakfast buffet is unacceptable. If you behave like that, you're in the wrong place in the restaurant industry. A pity. If you want pleasant service, you should visit the Osteria on the other side of the hotel. Everything is great there from A to Z (thanks Luzia and the gentleman from Friday evening, August 18, 2023, who served our group).

The staff were very friendly. The lake can be clearly seen from every table. If your stomach is full, you can easily pack up the leftovers. Unfortunately the spare ribs had no bones.

We went to the steakhouse for the first time yesterday and it was a perfect evening. From the top service to the beautiful ambience with a view of Lake Zurich to the excellent food, we were completely satisfied. We will definitely be back soon!

Food very good. 5 Stars Service 3. Reason: even though we were on the second shift and the restaurant was only about 60% full We had to wait a long time for anyone to come by. 10 minutes. We only had wine on the table after 30 minutes and food after 50 minutes. Service was friendly but just slow and not very attentive (lots of idle time). There is room for improvement, especially considering the prices. We weren't even asked how we liked it.

A perfect place if you are looking for a good piece of meat in a modern setting. When we arrived we were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and shown to the table. When choosing the menu, we relied on the recommendation of the attentive lady in service and had her put together a BBQ plate for us. Every piece of meat on it was perfectly prepared, the kitchen at The Steakhouse knows exactly what they are doing 😊 The evening is rounded off by the stylish furnishings and the direct view of the harbor.

It was our first time at the steakhouse and we were very impressed. As soon as you enter the restaurant you can see the meat and fish counter with the fresh ingredients and open kitchen, very appealing. The food was super fresh and delicious. We'd love to come back.

After some initial difficulties, it was still a nice evening. Respect to the whole team, who deal with criticism very professionally, some of them can learn a lesson from that. We had fillet steak and tuna in the main course, it was cooked perfectly and very tasty.

We dined here last Friday evening after an intensive GL meeting. A huge compliment to the entire crew. The explanations when ordering, the preparation and presentation of the food, the wine recommendations and in general, the positive and extremely friendly atmosphere of the staff helped make what was already a great day/evening great. High praise, it was, without exaggeration, “really great cinema.” Be sure to keep it up. Respect! The only way to achieve great things is to love what you do!

Super beautiful location on Lake Zurich, enjoyed the sunset and delicious steaks. Very good, friendly, fast service. You feel very comfortable here. The steaks prepared as requested, perfect doneness, very tasty side dishes. Delicious aperitif. Of course, Switzerland is at a high price level, but it is still a great experience here.

We had the pulled beef burger. This one was just disgusting. The meat was soggy and the bun was too hard. Never again...

We've been there twice and found the food very tasty. Great meat. Nice service, nice atmosphere. Prices were quite high, which is why we decided on a 3-course menu, which was given. Everything tasted good. The only thing I don't like is that the tables are very close to each other. I could have touched the shoulder of the person sitting next to me on the left and right if I had stretched out my arm. And maybe my husband got infected there and now has Corona. Of course this can happen anywhere. Nevertheless: The tables for two should really be a little more apart from each other.

From the great German service, the wine list and the great menu...6 stars What I didn't like so much were the two long tables. They are standing close to each other. You can quickly follow the conversation at the neighboring table. But that would be complaining at a high level. We'd love to come back with friends

The location is beautifully located directly at the harbor in Lachen. The restaurant is on the left side of the building. The fronts are all glazed, which gives an impressive view from the outside. We were warmly welcomed and escorted to our table. There is a meat counter right at the entrance where you can look at the pieces you want. I also found it very interesting that there was a poster with the parts of the animal drawn on it. This way you could see directly where each piece came from. The semi-open kitchen with the charcoal grill is also a real eye-catcher. Our service staff was very pleasant, courteous and attentive. One point is deducted for the unsuccessful cooking level. I ordered my meat Saignant and unfortunately received a little more than medium. The service person reacted quickly and offered to remake the meat, but I declined because I didn't want to wait. What was funny was that a few other people besides my partner were celebrating their birthdays that evening. Which was easy to see from the glowing candles. There was a chocolate cake from the kitchen, which was very nice. The interpretation of the banana split was also interesting, but I wouldn't order it that way again because the chocolate in the banana was only half melted.

I can recommend the sweet desserts with a clear conscience, especially the chocolate cake, mmhhh. Thank you for the birthday surprise. I felt very comfortable and will come back.

Ich wurde zu meinem Geburtstag ins Steak House eingeladen. Als ich erfuhr das wir nur von 18:00 - 20:00 da sein dürfen weil ab 20:15 der Tisch wider frei sein soll, war ich etwas enteuscht. Wir wurden bei der Ankunft äusserst freundlich empfangen und herrvorragend bedient. Auf die Frage ob wir nach 2 h wirklich den Tisch verlassen müssen wurde uns freundlich erklärt was der Grund sei. Das 200g Entrecote war ein Gedicht und den etwas hohen Preis absolut wert. Eigentlich war alles ein Gedicht und zu guter letzt durften wir so lange sitzen bleiben wie wir wollten. Herzlichen Dank für den herrlichen Abend, ich werde wieder kommen und euch weiter empfehlen.

Wonderful food and the service staff was impeccable.

We had a business dinner there and it was wonderful! Being a large group (13), they proposed to put together plates with the various treats they offer, so everybody could taste what they wanted. Food was absolutely delicious, worth the price tag. Best part of the evening was that the whole staff played along with our theme, making us feel very welcome and sharing plenty of laughs. I will be back & highly recommend a visit!

Very cozy evening. I was invited to dinner by my employer on the occasion of my retirement. The food here is highly recommended. But it's also worth going because of the sunset.

Ich wollte heute Abend spontan im Steakhouse Essen gehen. Das Restaurant war gut besetzt aber durchaus nicht am Limit der Belegung. Nebst dem Servicepersonal war auch eine Restaurantleiterin anwesend (oder was auch immer man im Steakhouse darunter versteht). Ich habe mehr als fünf Minuten am Eingang darauf gewartet, dass diese Person ihren Job wahrnimmt. Stattdessen hat sie einen Tisch aufgedeckt und sich anschliessend, wie ich nachher beim Vorbeigehen mitbekommen habe, mit ihr bekannten Gästen unterhalten.Wenn man Arbeit gegenüber grundsätzlich abgeneigt ist (wobei die Arbeit wohl eher durch das Servicepersonal zu bewältigen ist), gibt es meiner Meinung nach professionellere Verhaltensregeln als wartende Personen einfach zu ignorieren.Nächstes Mal sollte ich doch vorher die Bewertungen auf Tripadvisor anschauen, denn dann wäre ich nie auf die Idee gekommen ihr Restaurant besuchen zu wollen! Realistisch gesehen ist sogar die Bewertung „Ungenügend“ schmeichelhaft!

Wir waren mehrfach in der Marina Lachen und deshalb auch Mitte Juli 2020 wieder dort. Das Essen war auch bei unserem neusten Besuch gut, daran gibt es nichts auszusetzen. Wie es sich ein im preislich oberen Segment operierendes Lokal hingegen erlauben kann, einen derart schlechten Service abzuliefern, war uns allerdings ein Rätsel. Nachdem das Personal zunächst eher oberflächlich nett und nicht besonders aufmerksam war, ignorierte es uns nach dem Hauptgang gleich ganz. Obwohl 4 Personen für die etwa zur Hälfte besetzte Terrasse zuständig waren, schaffte es niemand, uns zu fragen, ob wir noch ein Dessert oder einen Kaffee möchten. Stattdessen waren sie mit Tische parat machen und anderen Dingen beschäftigt. Manchmal auch einfach mit Quatschen bzw mit sich selbst. Wir kamen uns vor, als würden wir stören. Nachdem eine halbe Stunde nichts passierte, beschlossen wir, zu zahlen. Bis sich jemand auf unser Zeichen bemerkbar machte, dauerte es erneut eine Weile. Jetzt erst wollte die Bedienung wissen, ob wir noch gerne einen Nachtisch hätten? Nein, danke. Künftig werden wir dort auch keine Vorspeise und keinen Hauptgang mehr essen. Es gibt zum Glück rund um den Zürichsee noch gute Beizen mit freundlichem Service.

Like last time, the meat was again top class. The tomahawk costs almost CHF 200 and the restaurant recommends eating the piece for two. Other steaks like the rib-eye or T-bone are just as good. The side dishes were also great, I highly recommend the sweet potato fries. The price is rather above average, but this is justified by the location and the food. The service was sometimes a little overzealous with clearing the plates, but otherwise it was great.

Great location by the lake and good food

Ich war schon oft in der Marina. Die Lage ist hervorragend und Wunderschön. Während das Restaurant früher 4-5 Punkte verdient hätte ist jetzt ein KNAPPE 3. vielleicht ruhen die Dich auf den Lorbeeren der Lage aus. Das Essen ist ganz ok aber lieblos und ohne Seele. Ich wurde von den Portionen kaum satt und das Essen war faad, das FischFILET voller Gräten und ungesalzen. Die Bedienung wird dem früheren Ruf auch nicht gerecht. Kaum der Sprache mächtig kennen sie nicht mal die Zutaten der TAGESSPEZIALITÄTEN und nicht sehr Profi. Einfach nicht das Gesamtpaket was ich erwartet hätte. SEHR enttäuschend.

Ich war schon sehr oft im Marina essen. Dieses mal waren wir unter der Woche für einen Lunch im The Steakhouse. Die Qualität des Essen und das Preisleistung -Verhältnis stimmt an und für sich sehr. An dem Montag als wir dort waren, wurden wir aber ein wenig enttäuscht. Das eine Gericht vom Businesslunch sei gar nicht gut und solle man ja nicht Bestellen, sagte die einte Kellnerin zu uns. Sehr komisch das man so etwas in dem Steakhouse zu ohren bekommt!! Der Geschäftsführer war die längste Zeit an einen Tisch mit paar Herren an Diskutieren, in einer Lautstärke die das ganze Restaurant gehört hat. Schade für so eine schöne Location.
