The burgers are the best there is. I'm not a burger fan, but you have to try it. The ambience here immediately puts you in a relaxing position. The motivated people who brighten up our day are simply a pleasure to watch as they work. A passion? Relaxed guests, fantastic views, simply a holiday feeling. There is no convertible or motorcycle tour without me doing some pazse here. A big thank you to everyone who works here. You're doing a great job

Super fine food with incredibly good and fresh vegetables, delicious drinks (also non-alcoholic drinks and great tea) and very nice and attentive service staff. The atmosphere is super relaxed even during the day. Be sure to reserve in the evening.

We were there every day during our stay in Engadin - the atmosphere is so relaxed, there is a playground for the kids and the food (and coffee too!) is super good.

Top holiday ambience at any time of day! Very fine food - whether meat or vegetarian/vegan. Drinks and coffee are also highly recommended (homemade iced tea). Sustainable, fresh and regional products. The staff is always super friendly and efficient, even when the restaurant is full and it's hot. The perfect place for a cozy stopover or a nice holiday evening. If you just want to stop by for a quick coffee, you usually have to wait in line a little longer. However, the restaurant is intended for people who are in the holiday mood and not for people with fast food requirements. The audience is well mixed because the offerings and staff appeal to many target groups. The menu is manageable and, apart from daily pasta, has not changed for several years. Anyone who goes there often will eventually know the dishes by heart.

Perhaps one of my favourite restaurants of all time. Atmosphere is perfect - very laid back and 80s vibe, and it's great to be able to watch the wind/kitesurfers. The teas were excellent, and it's a nice touch to have a large bottle of grappa on the counter. We arrived slightly early to order dinner and enjoyed just sitting with a drink and playing uno with the cards provided. The food was excellent. The artichoke really is "large", cooked and seasoned perfectly. The playa mezze was incredible - large tiger prawns cooked perfectly, sardines, and a generous portion of calamari. The calamari was clearly cooked from fresh rather than pre-prepared rings, and was perfect. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and contributed to the very positive experience we had here. Prices are perhaps a bit expensive if you're not Swiss, but compared to any of the other restaurants in the area the prices are extremely reasonable. For the quality of food also, I would expect to pay this amount in England. If you're in Silvaplana but don't fancy traditional Swiss fare, do not miss this place!

Really loved this place. The menu is diverse and offers breakfast lunch dinner and a large selection of alcohol / soft drinks / tea. Atmosphere is relaxed, great music and friendly staff. Beautiful view of the lake if you eat outside. Enjoyed the massive artichoke and the seafood mezze.

Great location, nice staff and delicious food. Tourist prices are somehow accepted, it's a seasonal business. Unfortunately only three stars for the small portions, at 16 francs you would get a normal portion of fries with the 3 crispy fish...

We, a family of four from Graubünden, generally avoid the tourist hotspots in our own canton. On our journey home from northern Italy we made an (emergency) stop at Pappalou because the restaurants in the small communities in Bergell and Chiavenna were closed. First the good: + Parking is right in front of the restaurant + there is a children's play area (a bit very dusty though) + Burger was good ...the disappointing thing: - Prices are completely exorbitant for the quality and performance we experienced (we paid as much as for 7 nights at the campsite in northern Italy) - The service was inadequate. (although the order is taken at a desk and only food is served). - The drinking glasses were dirty and were reluctantly replaced by the service staff. (I almost offered to run downstairs myself and get new glasses) - Children's/coffee spoons were also only brought upon specific request. - The wrong children's food was delivered and only exchanged reluctantly. - The price for the menu with scampi was exorbitant, I searched the plate and found 3 scampi. - No flexibility/accommodation... since there were only unhealthy children's menus or pasta, we asked if we could order Bircher muesli (which was also on the menu). This was not possible because brunch time was already over. Well, we'll avoid it again in the future.

On our tour we were not always impressed with the food we received. Then, coming from the Maloja Pass, we see a large parking lot with a camping area on a picturesque riverside road. There is a restaurant in front of it. Right on the lake, with outdoor tables and pretty full. We are skeptical. Then the restaurant turns out to be a true culinary oasis. The menu offers something for every taste from morning to evening, from fish to veggies and steaks to desserts. And all of this is served with impeccable preparation. It's tempting to extend your stay just to sample the menu up and down.

Everything is fine, unfortunately only 3 stars because, firstly, this type of music is too loud and therefore becomes rather unsettling over time. We've been there several times now. Apart from an unpleasant incident with the service some time ago (we never saw the lady from back then), we were always very satisfied. Nice personel. Great menu, various fresh dishes. The tastiest croissants ever. Freshly squeezed juices upon request. The burgers are also super tasty. There is a playroom for the children on the upper floor, which is really nice. You are welcome here as a family.
