Magnificent place with a superb terrace. Nice and varied menu. Very friendly service unfortunately we waited 1 hour between the starter and the main course because they were overwhelmed in the kitchen, plus we were inside and could not enjoy the beautiful view.

Highly Recommended . From the food to the location to the staff, it was a very nice experience. We felt really well looked after.

Both views and food couldn't be better service was very friendly. For sure book in advance especially on a sunny day. Location on the map of zermatt resort is a bit misleading and it can actually be very easily accessed from nearby red slope going down to findeln. Definitely comparable to nearby chez vrony

We had a wonderful afternoon at the Paradise, which has become one of our favorite places on the mountains (for skiers as well as normal visiters). From start to finish, everything was perfect. The service was attentive, friendly, and always making sure we didn't want for anything. Despite its small size the restaurant has charm and of course it's most beautiful on sunny days to sit outside on the terrasse. The food itself was excellent. As a main course we had the boiled beef (Tafelspiz) and the beet root (perfect for vegetarians). Markus Pössenberger and Dominic Adamantidis really outdid themselves with this menu. Thank you Paradise for having us!

Beautiful view and super delicious food. Fondue is definitely recommended. We were personally served by Elia Zurbriggen and he is incredibly friendly and accommodating. Down-to-earth, yet chic restaurant. Reservations in advance are recommended.

The place is great! Staff was very friendly, food is very delicious (we liked it even more than Shez Vrony). Cozy place, but the view is not that good as in Shez Vrony. Highly recommend this place!

This place is so amazing! The fondue was so frkn good and the views were spectacular. We also learned that they won an award for best fondue in Switzerland last year!!! We went on a really busy day without reservations and the guy seating everyone was so so sweet. He told us he’d make something work for us after 15 minutes, and he did exactly then. Every time he talked to us he did it so politely I wanted to melt. Everyone there was really really nice. Highly highly recommend!

Walking through the mountains in Zermatt we came across this place and had lunch and the view is very beautiful. We ordered a delicious fondue with local beer

Make a reservation, sit outside and curl up in front of the most amazing view of the Matterhorn. Fondue was perfect - lots of fun things to dip. The drinks were great. All and all a wonderful place to spend a few hours taking a break from skiing.

A cozy mountain hut to have lunch with views of the Matterhorn. We started with a sharing platter of local meats and cheeses, then we got a steak and a bouillabaisse. All the food was delicious and hearty to get us ready for the second half of the ski day. The only thing is there is a slightly steep drop after the restaurant. I would highly recommend considering this before bringing beginner skiers!

Made a quick pit stop here for a quick bite. As we did not have enough time to hike further down in the snow and need to make it back for the last train down which was a half hour hike back up the mountain. Waitress was really nice to rush the food for us.

Absolutely top! I went to the terrace, sat down and then I saw the Matterhorn! This ambience and mood is simply wonderful. Above all, the staff was very friendly and the food was exactly what you wanted.

Located in a small hamlet up the mountain, this is a must visit destination if you’re in Zermatt. Incredible views, service, and food. There is a 15-20 min hike so not easy to access for those with mobility problems, but the hike is fairly easy and this place is so worth it!

Was there in June, after hiking the 5 Lakes Trail. Amazing views from the outside balcony of the Matterhorn - absolutely stunning. Service was so friendly, and the food was amazing. Classic cheese fondue was delicious, tempura was perfectly fried without being oily, pumpkin ginger soup with a wildflower garnish was as tasty as it was pretty to look at. Definitely worth a trip

Love it love it love it 🤩 Absolutely a cozy place to rest and grab food after the 5-Seenweg walk! Surprisingly the food is a bit of combination of Japanese and Italian I would say, or probably swiss style but definitely tasty and the price is fair. Thanks for the staff, she's has been super accomodating and the view is stunning. Couldn't ask for more :)

Amazing! Truly amazing. I tried the veal and the cheese fondue. I have zero complaints. The only thing that I enjoyed less was my dessert. I don't remember the name of the dish that this restaurant used, but it was like Kaiserschmarrn, a sweet dish originating from Vienna. The dessert lacked flavor.

Very cosy and cute restaurant on the mountain at 2,230m elevation, ensuring breathtaking views while enjoying delicious food at the outside patio. Loosen your boots, and recharge with delicious meals, snacks, and drinks. Try the Heisse Lust warm drink (warm wine, with a slice of a pear, thyme, and a touch of anise). Vegan options are available and clearly marked on the menu, though some appetisers are not marked vegan, even though they are. For example, the Kurkuma Hummus is great.

Experience 5, offerings 4, value 5 - amazing place to stop and refresh with beautiful views of the Matterhorn, great bites, and good tunes. Food was pretty good and prices were on par with the rest of Zermatt and the views are well worth the 10 min snow trek. We got the shakshukka some coffee and orange juice. All good.

Pretty, friendly and exudes a bit of intimacy in the crushed mass. We were just there for drinks. However, the connection to Chez Vroni is promising. As of March 2023, @Paradise has 13 GaultMillau points. As everywhere in Zermatt, be sure to book a reservation well in advance.

Gorgeous !!! One of the most beautiful places on earth! Terrace with breathtaking views of the Matterhorn! The decoration is great! We were lucky enough to have a table set up facing the mountain. The fondue is divine, as are the desserts! Their menu offers quite original dishes. The service is impeccable, everyone was very friendly and smiling. We will return without hesitation with great pleasure!

The map is very unique and creatively designed. The hostess is a treasure, so loving and accommodating. The food was wonderful. We had the fish soup and the meat bird. The hostess recommended the wine to us and it went perfectly with the food. The view was unique we were on the terrace. Inside it also looks very inviting.

Delicious food, gorgeous views. Honestly can’t beat it. Make a reservation in advance. We booked at 2pm after we were pretty much done for the day. Snow was somewhat slushy on our way down. We finished the run (restaurant is on the Red 6 marked by the blue flags shown in pics), took the chair lift up to Sunnegga, and the funicular down. You can board/ski back to town though from Sunnegga. Note slopes 1 to 3 are wider than 2 so better for boarders.

Great views, great atmosphere, the food is really nice and the service is wonderful. I would give 5 stars but there was SO MUCH smoke on the patio. I gave me a headache and the kids were breathing is a lot of second hand smoke. It was SO gross. Cigar’s and cigarettes. Ugh!!!

Magnificent experience from the welcome to the quality of the dishes. Even though they do two services, they care about your experience. For example, they offered to take an extra bottle inside before finding us a table outside! Well done ! In Zermatt, we are more used to being “kicked out” during the 2nd service!!! We also appreciated the quality of the plate and the efficiency, attention and kindness of the service! Well done !!!

Zermatt is a great ski resort. The area is vast and lifts generally quick. The international option is cool and the delta in ticket price is small which is good as the lifts to top are often closed due to wind. Only ⚠️ warning . Dont go to 1818 restaurant. Poor service firstly. They did not cook meat properly delivered it raw which is dangerous then on second attempt brought back rare telling us chef says its medium. Chef did not come to discuss nor did the offer any compensation for this expense that was inedible that was to feed 2/4 of us . I cannot recommend 1818 restaurant any less! Obviously 1818 a seperate entity but i felt obligated to place review here to caution more against the danger of wasting an evening dinner plan at 1818

Came here solely to eat fondue on the side of a mountain— it did not disappoint. Even with snow falling and low visibility the view was breathtaking. The fondue (€31) was also delicious!! You can take the sunnega train and either walk or ski here. One thing to note is that it’s on an easy trail but right when you leave the restaurant there’s a super steep hill. I watched a lot of skiers (myself included) hesitate and struggle down.

Make a reservation online and the staff was nice to give us the best seat with a great view. Prior to that, as their website did not indicate the direction to get there, I’ve drop them a msg via Instagram. They saw my msg but decide not to reply me. Not cool at all. End up I have to find my way there and it was not easy locating the restaurant especially with piles of snows covering the route. However I have to give credit to the waitress, her service was really good and very friendly. Her recommendation of food was on point. Will be better, if they can provide the direction on their website, if not it’s rather tough finding the place.

The name says it all - absolutely heavenly! Top location with a fantastic view, stylish ambience inside and outside, friendly team, fast service, delicious food. It deserves an extra star for the strong branding. Thank you very much - we will definitely come back.

Lovely restaurant a short hike from Sunnega. The staff were very friendly and they had a very cute dog. Fish stew was amazing and carrot-ginger soup was on point.

Terrance with great view of the Matterhorn and straw sun umbrellas. Delicious fruit tart, or try the Schmarrn, cut-up pancakes with sugar and toppings. Friendly service, English spoken. On the expensive side.
