On a walk I discovered ROMANA, which is flooded with sunlight, and decided to stop in for a snack. The salad we ordered was crisp and fresh, and the yogurt sauce was wonderful. Because it was so fine, we returned to the ROMANA for dinner that same day. I have to admit without envy that the homemade barley soup is better than the one I made myself. It tasted so good that we bought a “5 to 12i” preserving jar of it so we could enjoy it at home in the lowlands. I hope that the excellently flavored Capuns, which we enjoyed with the main course, will also be available as a “5 to 12i” offer on our next visit. Congratulations to the new hosts on the successful concept and the loving implementation.

Pretzel croissants, cakes and sesame rolls were all at least 1 day old - dry and without taste. A pity

Best bakery I know. We take detours to get to their nut peaks. I've never bought anything that wasn't excellent: pretzel bread, Berliners, Zigerkrapfen, amaretti and breads are simply brilliant. Thank you very much and hopefully for a long time!

BAKERY NEXT TO HAMMER, I WAS DISAPPOINTED IN THE RESTAURANT. STAFF OVERCHALLENGED, EVEN THOUGH FEW GUESTS. WE WERE LOOKING FORWARD TO A ROESTI. ZERO CRISPY, DRIPPED WITH LARD. FRIED EGG WAS NOT FRIED PROPERLY. TOO SHORT IN THE PAN, EGG YOLKS WERE COLD, EGG WHITES SLIGHTLY WARM. IT'S A PATH, WE REMEMBERED IT BETTER.

Unfortunately the owner will change in the fall, but if the new people do it as well as they do now, it will be excellent!

Very, very unfriendly staff, "hello" and "thank you" are not in the word repertoire. Starter came fresh from the prepackaged, pizza overflowing with mozzarella, the pizza dough was far too greasy and was definitely not homemade. A few years ago everything was perfect. A pity...

The unfriendly staff ever! We paid for our drinks which were way overpriced. An older woman slammed her wallet onto the table with full force and quickly took the money. Not even an “Ade” came!

Great, everything was great, the restaurant was full, we were offered a regular's table, we ate there with another family, again and again Rösti Romana is amazing...

Stupidity takes precedence over hospitality! At the same moment as the order comes, the waitress speaks in an inappropriate tone in a very unfriendly manner. She can now drink the two espressos herself. Location without charm and friendliness! Unfortunately, it gives foreigners living in Switzerland a bad image. Never again!!

Had an ice cream. The service was a bit unmotivated, we didn't feel like guests but rather like a nuisance!

The food is awful but the service is one of the worsts I remember

There’s two types of experiences you can get as a tourist in Switzerland: one is kind, friendly and welcoming; the other is indifferent, passive-aggressive and rude. Unfortunately the Romana is the second. After not serving or acknowledging us for 10 minutes, the staff had the audacity to make snarky comments behind our backs to other customers as we were leaving - unacceptable.

Romana has great Swiss dishes including cantonal speciailities. Great röstis and standard swiss fare.

It's a cozy restaurant and nice employees. It is quiet.

Uncomplicated and pleasant, friendly service, very good, freshly prepared food in generous portions (meat and side dishes).
