Run away ! It's been 23 years since I opened this restaurant. The owner couple was charming… getting worse and worse each year I discover that Mr. the owner is execrable this year! Not welcoming, not accommodating, the staff are almost afraid of them! I am saddened that this nice place is now to be avoided...! We are in Switzerland for their sense of welcome, their calm... but now we wonder where we are with this rare rudeness! The tartiflette floats in water with 3 pieces of bacon fighting a duel, we are looking for cheese at 30 chf without the taste of cheese!! Shameful… and the tiny vegetable tart was not cooked enough for 28 chf… but what a shame! Apart from the view we will never come back… and still no credit card all in cash!!!

Horrible welcome. Grandpa should stop his activity there. He doesn't know how to be kind. He hates his French customers too. All this for a fairly small and expensive card. The tartiflette is of no interest. She has no taste. The rest is random. The staff seems to suffer from the boss's bad mood. It was really better before. We come every year with good memories of the first times almost 20 years ago but each year it decreases. They won't take me again. Definitely avoid. He only takes cash.

Nice view on the large terrace. Unfortunately no parasols on the terrace. Open until around mid-October 2023.

Terrible experience! Avoid! The owner/manager (the old guy) hates foreigners who don't speak French. We reserved a table for 4. Waited 20 min for our table, front of the queue but the manager acted as if we were air and only wanted to seat French speaking guests form behind the queue! How obnoxious!

Probably the best fromage croute eaten in Crans Montana this year. In the winter season you can only arrive on skis. The beautiful and large terrace where you can eat and relax in the sun after an intense morning of skiing. I recommend booking so as not to risk being left in the queue waiting for a place to become available. P.s. I didn't give 5 stars due to cash only payment. As usual in these chalets in the Crans-Montana ski area, and thank goodness we are in Switzerland. The usual excuse is that there is no internet, but my mobile phone had 5G (3-4 bars so also good!), so I believe that even the POS can function without problems.

A must on the ski slopes, everything is good and the view is magnificent. Always welcomed, but reservation recommended.

We ate outside. Reservation possible and advisable. If you come early in the afternoon and don't stay forever, it's often possible. No mask or proof of vaccination requirement. Map not big. Specialty: Croute = crispy bread baked with cheese + e.g. with fried egg or ham. Or cheese fondue. Great view of the Alps. Nice and competent service.

Too expensive for the service provided. Cheese slices, Valais platters and something to drink and just like that, over 65 francs gone. But authentic ambience and friendly service.

Great place to go for lunch at Crans Montana. Their croute fromage is tasty but do make reservations if planning to dine here as the sunny spots in the patio gets filled up quickly!

When a tartiflette is well made, you have to let people know. When everything is good, don't hesitate to go back

We wanted to book by phone for noon and were told that it is not possible today. Arriving at the restaurant at midday, the waiter asked us if we had reservations and the majority of tables were reserved. Luckily we had a place. The meal was good but the manager didn't seem very friendly.

Fondue at 28Fch pp..day dish at 23 f, efficient and professional service..magnificent setting and tranquility, adorable boss, but cuisine clearly down compared to past years, too bad.

A traditional mountain pasture where you taste the cheese made on site in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Probably the best crust in the resort! Reservation required (limited places)

Pleasant setting in winter, in good weather. We enjoy the sunshine and the magnificent view from the terrace. As for the cuisine, we happily eat there. Between the vegetable tarts, tartiflette and other cheese crusts and cold plates, there is plenty to do. Not to mention a choice of interesting wines. Reservations essential in high season.

Typical place in the middle of the mountain pasture. Making raclette cheese. You absolutely have to taste their cheese crust!!!
