Pause-Café in Marly

Excellent meals served by very friendly staff, a pretty terrace with a playground and a loyal clientele, this is what awaits you at Pause-Café de Marly.

My experience today was not very good, I sat down to eat (no home-cooked meals or drinks). As it is outside I sat there, nothing is noted that the terrace is reserved for their customers.... Afterwards a not very comfortable lady came furiously to tell me. No, you don't have the right, it's the terrace for a "coffee break". Not even hello. I left quietly, she didn't even ask me if I wanted anything, a coffee or tea to complete my meal.

The first impression is to find yourself in a place with the charm of a café in an ordinary motorway service station. Nothing special. You can eat there and at the same time have the misfortune of smelling cigarette smoke coming from the outdoor terrace. The service is Swiss standard, not very charming. Above all, you must actively seek contact with the staff because they will only approach you when you enter the establishment, then no active search on the part of the staff to ask if you want a coffee or a dessert, etc. When I asked for the menu card, the answer was that the menus were posted at the entrance. The staff certainly doesn't bother to tell you what there would be to eat because: it's displayed at the entrance, period. I go there regularly for practical work reasons and not for the menus (very limited) and especially not for the service. Possibility of charging the laptop or computer but no public WIFI available.
