Peking Garden in Zürich

I'll eat here more often or take takeaway. The pasta and rice dishes are always good, but I would avoid the duck ingredient. The satay chicken has too little sauce and it is completely tasteless. I found my favorites here.

The quality of this restaurant is getting worse, during peak hours there is disorder among the staff and it made me very disgusted to see how the cooks put the tickets on top of each plate of food and so I told the waiter that this is unhygienic, no. I will never order food from that place again or go there. Lousy.

The spring rolls were bland, you had to look for the shrimp, and the leek already had rotten spots on the outside. When pointed out, the service staff didn't respond to it and just said that the leeks were also edible. The soup wasn't a hit either, raw vegetables, little taste. And the tofu was also bland, not worth the 18.50 chf.

I was there for dinner today with a companion, we both ordered crispy chicken, it didn't take long but it was hardly edible, the chicken was fried for too long and was already slightly dry, the rice was just as dry and the whole dish in general It was done so carelessly, you could just see it. Now let's get to the service. We were warmly welcomed. When taking the orders he didn't take any notes, which led to things being forgotten, which was then confirmed on site. There was a family sitting in front of us and they simply forgot an order. In short it is very chaotic. In addition, our food was simply slammed onto the table. I've been to other Peking Gardens in Zurich and it was worlds better. My companion and I were deeply disappointed and didn't finish. The only good thing was the ambience.

My rice was way too dry but that’s not yet what bothers me the most. There is a real concern about quantities. Otherwise the ingredients are of good quality. Just expensive for too little.. I have a small stomach but I'm still hungry afterwards. The shrimp fritters are ridiculously small too, in short disappointed

We chose this restaurant on the way to the theater. The food was very good, the service was very friendly. The dish was served on a plate and was sufficient for me. Unfortunately, the ambience wasn't quite as usual in a Chinese restaurant. It was probably once a diner and has had little adjustment. Unfortunately, what really bothered us is the origin of the chicken: Brazil. That doesn't work for us at all. It's a shame, as we really enjoy eating chicken and are happy to pay a little more if it comes from Switzerland.

Received sauces for only 1 menu even though we bought 2. We took green curry - it looked slimy and not fresh and tasted accordingly. Really not recommended, the food used to be better.

Very bad service, you had to pay 3 times more because of an employee's mistake, you didn't get the money back. I recommend it further it's a waste of money. The food isn't that special.

The woman at the checkout doesn't even speak German properly. I also had to pay for the woman in front of me and myself and she didn't even want to give me the money back. Wouldn't recommend

Service staff was so unfriendly. Had me waiting for Gos knows how long for the Szeuchan also the service lady yelled at me for taking a plastic box meanwhile everyone was taking a box! Anyways I recommend the Rice Up right next door because Peking Garden is clearly very racist also not my first racist encounter with Peking GARDEN OERLIKON OR PEKING GARDEN IN GENERAL!!!!

Not proper communication on prices and why there are fluctuations. Added money for not explained reasons eg.”VSP flat rate” which is for doctors not food. Food is nice just not understanding this system.

I had a beef soup. Not the worst, not the best, beside one ingredient: the beef was stone age old, tough and weirdly sour. It seems, someone found it in the bottom corner of the freezer after 10 years, and thought its a good idea to somehow make it money by adding it to a soup. Nevertheless, even boiling it for hours couldnt make that leather soft again.

The food is one of the worst Asian foods I have tasted, ordered summer rolls which were of very poor quality and the sauce is totally different to the sauce in pho Vietnam in long street. Ordered 2 soups which were basically awful, tasteless. I do not recommend this place at all.

We were here for the first time. We ordered a large portion of noodle with chicken and beef. Everything was delicious. We were served quickly.

Unfortunately, once again, very poor delivery service. Waiting times of between one and two hours are not uncommon. A no-go for dishes that cost around SFr.30 and arrive cold!! The fluctuating quality of the dishes, e.g. fried rice, prepared in far too much fat/oil, suggests that quality assurance is a foreign concept here. A pity!!!

The food is well prepared and tasty, I ordered the cantonese duck and the Pho. The duck was crispy (only slightly overcooked for my taste) and the rice very fluffy and moist. The Pho had lots of spices and the meat was tender. Gave three stars for service because on this occasion the plates arrived separately (which is usually not the best, since I was eating with a friend) and the staff seemed to be in disarray. I had asked for no coriander in the Pho and yet they added it anyways. All in all good experience though, will go again!

Ordered a vegetarian noodle soup. All of the vegetables were Completely raw and there’s no way they could cook in the Luke warm soup. Terrible how can you send me uncooked food, ruined my evening I paid over 20 francs for this

We ordered dinner and had to wait more than 90 minutes even though I live 5 minutes from the restaurant. The food itself was ok, the usual deal of pan-Asian fast food stir-fries. But it‘s alright considering the price. Would not recommend the tofu summer rolls, though.

Duck was tough and bland. Sauce was also bland. For 24.- there is much better Asian food in Zurich!

Very bad service, I ordered beef meat saty, they gave me chop suey with nuts even though I said my wife has nut allergy. My new dish was ready in 2 minutes and it was exactly the same. This unfriendly woman said I ordered this!!!!!!!

Food quality is low to average. Noodles soups typically come overcooked so when using chopsticks, the noodles just break. But staff is friendly.

Half the table didn't get their food, when you wanted to pay you were forced to take the food with you because it was ready right then, but strangely enough it was cold

I had the pleasure of visiting Peking Garden and would like to share my positive experience. The Szechuan food I tried there was absolutely delicious. The flavors were rich, the spices perfectly balanced and the dishes were freshly prepared. It was a real treat for my taste buds. The modern furnishings of the restaurant created a pleasant atmosphere. The combination of stylish design and comfortable seating made me feel like I was dining in a relaxed environment. The attention to detail and clean presentation contributed to an overall pleasant ambience. Another plus point was the generous portion size. Each dish was well portioned and filling. There was no reason to get up from the table hungry. The value for money was definitely fair and I felt satisfied with what I got for my money. The staff also deserve praise. They were friendly, attentive and ensured my needs were met throughout the visit. They patiently answered my questions about the food and recommended some of their personal favorites. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at Peking Garden. The delicious Szechuan food, modern decor, generous portions and friendly staff made my visit a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back soon.

Placed an order for take away. The service was very nice and friendly. After placing the order I didn't have to wait long. The dish was really tasty and at a fair price. I highly recommend the fried rice.

I've ordered from you x times and it's always 20-30 minutes late...

This evening I ordered a menu with cashew nuts and chicken. When it was on the table I found 3 nuts in it. I returned it and some more nuts were added. It was tasty. When I paid the clerk said she had counted the nuts, there were 8 nuts and I had cheated. I should order EXTRA nuts if I want more. That is not how it works! This restaurant is stingy with the ingredients! The waitress was rude and said that if I didn't like it, I shouldn't come again. I will. I won't be accused of cheating over a few nuts. I paid 30 francs for it with beer. Be careful, they are stingy and save money on meat and ingredients. There are more cheap vegetables and the rice is OK ;) hahaha actually it's funny because of a few nuts, but it really annoyed me and it proves that certain restaurants don't give a damn about the needs of their customers. So stay away, go eat somewhere else.

I think the food is of good quality :) Staff depends on the person and mood of the day but I give it a 7-8 out of 10 on the personality scale. I would be happy if this branch were open until 11 p.m. like in Uster. LG the friendly spider from the neighborhood. :)

Decent Chinese/Vietnamese restaurant. The even have sushi, but i haven't tried. Fast. Will go again.

Staff very unfriendly. Wanted to take the remaining food with us. Had to pack at the table ourselves. At first we thought we would use two boxes to pack, but one was enough. The waiter cheekily said that he had already charged both boxes and could no longer deduct it. We then said it wasn't a problem and that we would take both boxes with us since we "had to" pay for them. He grinned, took the box away and ran away... the box wasn't expensive (1.-), but I find it inappropriate. My sister also works in the hospitality industry and knows that you can still bill for it, after all, you can make a mistake and correct it...

Nice restaurant but expensive, food wasn't good. The staff tried unsuccessfully to ensure the well-being of the guests, which was due to the Chinese style and why it failed. We received a soup with leftover plastic packaging in it.

Bad staff, price-performance ratio is not right at all

I ordered Nasi Goreng at the restaurant. The dish was bland and tasted like regular fried rice. To be honest, I couldn't tell any difference at all from fried rice. Conclusion: you can eat, but nothing more.

Horrible experience! After sitting down and wanting to order, I had informed them of a nut allergy that I have. The waitress proceeded to grab my menu and told me to LEAVE the restaurant! She claimed that they cooked all their dishes with nut oil and insisted that none of the dishes are nut-free, which is concerning considering they sell sushi. She was very rude and I've never had this experience with any asian restaurant and I've been TO ASIA many times BECAUSE I AM ASIAN!! Would not recommend going there and frankly she was a complete B.

The lotus salad that was delivered was lush and actually tasted good, if it hadn't been for the chicken meat that was probably overlaid (ugh, bad). The baked starters were good, at least my 10-year-old daughter said. The same problem with beef with ginger as with chicken; Overlaid or stored incorrectly with a horrible aftertaste, and also tough like cowhide. There was no unwanted off-flavor with the beef cansiu (said to be a house specialty), but here too; tough like leather (inedible). The chicken "sweet and sour" was delivered intelligently (sauce cold and separately) and was not bad per se, but not really enjoyable either. Conclusion: For almost a hundred francs (plus a CHF 10.00 tip for the courier) it's a hefty bad investment, especially since the rubbish bag also has to be disposed of the next morning; whether full or not, because the stuff stinks really bad.

What is happening to Peking Garden. Ordered duck satay. It was disgusting. The meat was saggy and smelled strange. Well never again.

Been to Peking Garden for the first and last time. Cheap quality and expensive prices. 3.80.- 100 grams from the buffet. The floor and the counter at the entrance were very dirty and untidy. Staff is very rude. We came in, were seated and were only served after about 20 minutes, after which we told the service that we would like to order the drinks. When we were helping ourselves to the buffet and wanted to sit down again, a man came out of the kitchen and asked us in a rude manner to go back to the cash register to pay even though we hadn't even eaten yet. The best thing came at the end (probably the money we left there wasn't enough.) We gave the money to the waiter, he changed it at the cash register and gave us the money back, but with 10.- chf less than he would have given us I was supposed to give it, then I went to the waiter and told him. He went back to the cash register and checked and calculated the money for 10 minutes and boldly said that it wasn't right that he gave 10.- chf less back and was nervous. Never again!!!

Order to the neighborhood of Seebach, Zurich took nearly 2 hours. The food was a disaster. I have lived in Asia, specifically Singapore, Tokyo and Guangzhou so I know what Asian food looks like when its actually made properly. The shrimp was old and probably microwaved, it had the taste of seafood which went bad. Beef wasn't any better, just tasted like old leather. Rice was rock hard and soggy and on top of all that they had the audacity to charge for soy sauce, which they did not deliver. How is this place open?
