Off all the finds in Berns Beutiful city this one of the best Lunch yesterday was SUCH a Beutiful experience 😋 I hade to come back for Breakfast The Food is Amazing The Staff are Incredibly giving the the whole place a lovely Atmosphere 😍

Superb discovery for a nice brunch, in a pleasant atmosphere. Every time you turn your head, you discover a new original decorative element. The food is good, the service is good, the staff is friendly: in short, I will go back!

The ultimate insider tip in Bern. The food is fantastic and prepared with great attention to detail and far away from the run-of-the-mill food of regular restaurants. The fine wines are also very noble and well selected. No matter whether you just want to enjoy an exquisite coffee, a few good glasses of wine or even fine food. You're always in the right place here!

My favorite place in Bern. The Saturday brunch is legendary. But the Couteau is also perfect for lingering, enjoying the real food and of course for a chat with the authentic and super nice people who work here.

What a shame it didn’t work out. Today we took a trip from ZH to BE and wanted to stop by here for brunch, unfortunately everything was full. The manager probably said he was really sorry. In response to my slightly ironic comment, “We came all the way from Zurich,” he even offered me the croissant to go. Very very friendly - we will definitely come back!

Arrived at 10 a.m. on a Saturday for a little coffee, and unfortunately we were told that without a reservation we could not stay. Very disappointing ..

We went to Petit Couteau for brunch. The service staff was attentive and friendly. The food and drink menu was varied. We had a sweet pancake and NoAvo toast. It was tasty, but unfortunately the wow factor was missing 😊 We recommend cutting the toast. So that you can eat it better. Impossible with normal knives. A real highlight was the matcha and chai latte. Price-performance was completely fine

Cool café with a wonderful selection and great hosts!

Cozy, simple and warm place. Always friendly, smiling service. The only downside to the German-English card is that we look for French, especially in the capital of a bilingual canton. And the cooking smells a little too present depending on the time.

I'm writing here as a supplier, not as a guest... although I definitely have to do that again :-) I have over 40 customers in Bern, but a restaurant that exudes such a positive, warm-hearted atmosphere like Petit Couteau is unique. And I always get a coffee to go :-) You're doing really well, keep it up.

Only two options of dishes for the lunch but both were amazing. Would highly recommend this place. Staff and service were excellent. The food options were well balanced and original.

Amazing brunch, breakfast, coffee or lunch. Couldn’t recommend more. I can’t eat gluten or dairy and the chef made me a special toast that was absolutely delicious. Coffee was amazing and pancakes too. Plus the waiters and waitresses were super kind and friendly. I imagine it’s difficult to get a table on a Saturday but we were very lucky, to get one right before the kitchen closed.

Long wait... Would be cozy, but very crowded on Saturday afternoon when the weather is bad.

I love this brunch place in Bern. It has an Australian touch with Sydney breakfast during the weekend and up Ong reservation (gets very full, we got lucky we got a place without booking). Definitely worth the price which is very good compared to other options. I recommend the legendary pancakes for sweet stuff (they have pastries and other cakes at the desk too) and the butter toast for savoury. If I had one thing to improve regarding food it would be to have chilli oil at the table, it would have been terrific with the butter toast! The coffee is great and their milk FRESH and sooooooo good! It’s a unique brand they use, definitely not the cheap options you find somewhere else. It is a crystal bottle with the cream on top that needs to be shaken. The real milk! The open kitchen is great and it shows how they put care in every dish they make. The staff is very friendly and the vibe of the place (very big by the way!) amazing. They also have a small shop of small businesses in case you need a small gift for someone or treat yourself. Will definitely come back!

What a great place in Bern! Thank you very much for this little oasis of well-being - a little journey of discovery.. lovingly furnished. We haven't had such good coffee in a long time. Price/performance is also right and the employees spread a pleasant, positive energy. We'll be back soon - next time we'll try out the promising menu. Unfortunately, we only had a coffee and were even allowed to work on the laptop for 2 hours in the morning - in other places you'll be thrown out. And “good work was wished” and we felt very comfortable. Thank you very much!

We went to Petit Couteau for breakfast today. I was 100% satisfied! We had the salty pancakes, they were very fluffy and tasted very tasty! The portion was also reasonably large for the price. The service staff was also friendly and well-positioned. Will recommend this restaurant.

Best brunch I‘ve had in Bern so far! Everything was very tasty and the oatmilk cappuccino was great! Service was exceptional. Wish it was open on Sundays as well!

We were able to enjoy brunch for my sister's bachelorette party at Petit Couteau - Fabienne and the team made everything possible despite the summer break on Saturday and gave us a wonderful start to the day. Really nice cafe in Bern, near Hirschengraben. There is plenty of indoor seating and also some outdoor seating. There was a lot going on on a Saturday, reservations are generally recommended. The staff is very nice and takes their time even when the house is full. The Vegi Explosion was very good, nice enough with scrambled eggs instead of poached eggs. The pancakes were a little different than on the menu, with rhubarb instead of strawberries, strawberry sauce, etc. You had to wait a while for them. All in all nice and recommended.

AMAZING breakfast! We loved the place, the egg croissant is incredible! They also offer babyccino which is milk and chocolate powder or cappuccino for kids.

Been there several times for breakfast and “Käffälä”. Always friendly and helpful staff. Drinks and food are unusual and always very tasty.

I can't remember ever having experienced such a refreshing and friendly staff. In addition, they were extremely quick and, despite the big lunch rush, totally relaxed and well-coordinated. The lunch menu was super delicious! Reservation is strongly recommended.

Refreshingly different than other places! I am not from Bern but whenever I am around and close by the main station I drop by and try out one of their culinary creations. If you are interested, ask them about their thoughts around the selection of dishes and drinks, makes it it even more compelling to go there. Check it out!

We enjoyed our anniversary breakfast at Petit Couteau and it was amazing👍🏻 I was even able to order a bouquet of flowers for my wife. Thank you very much again. The Aussie breakfast was also great. (...ok, it wasn't exactly cheap, but very good👍🏻 I can recommend the Petit Couteau 110%.

Petit Couteau is, for me, the most complete coffee/restaurant in Bern. How often do you get a bland chai latte, capuccino or golden me? That taste like syrup? This is exactly where I find Petit Couteau so special: they pay attention to “small” details, use their own spices and local food. It doesn't matter if you just stop by for something small or for a meal, you will always be very satisfied because the team is very authentic and attentive. The atmosphere is so friendly that everyone can feel comfortable, be it a short break alone, a business meeting or a meeting with colleagues.

Cozy, feel-good place with delicious coffee, homemade cake, good internet and the best Saturday brunch in Bern.

Perfect for a business lunch. What always impresses me is the relaxed, happy atmosphere. You can almost hear the enthusiasm and joy of the staff crackling. The service is almost frighteningly efficient, bang, the salad (the dressing is delicious) and the main course follows promptly. I really appreciate the fact that you can open a laptop in peace and quiet in the morning and afternoon. And the cappuccini are simply amazing.

The best place for brunch and coffee in Bern (and possibly Switzerland)! As Australians living abroad, Petit Couteau has been our refuge for flat whites, smashed avo, and eggs benny :) Super friendly staff and the whole venue has a great vibe - highly recommended 💯!

A beautiful place to linger and drink coffee, you don't feel stressed at all to go, I've been there twice already, once with my son, so it was also very child-friendly and attentive, the second time with a colleague at lunchtime where it was very crowded, but they still looked after us Since we didn't have enough space, we only took two pieces of cake, which were very tasty. The staff is incredibly friendly, warmly motivated, you always feel very welcome and you can tell that a lot of passion goes into it. I'm very enthusiastic and would definitely recommend it. The restaurant is also very nicely decorated and is a lovely oasis of well-being.

One of my favourite cafés in Bern. Very creative and seasonal food. Brunch during the week and special Brunch every Saturday. Very very popular so even a reservation is highly recommended whether for weekends or weekdays. They also have a small shop with local specialties and they sell Melbournian Prana Chai.

At an aperitif from Citius, an athletics meeting in Bern, I was completely blown away by the quality and creativity of the aperitif. Gnocci with kale and finely prepared and much more. I can only recommend a visit there, and,,,,I will certainly be happy to be a guest there on my next visit to Bern. Great thank you

Nice people here simply think about what is important. No food waste, no plastic, regional, respectful, very attentive and personal treatment of people and animals. At the top, the lunch menu is the perfect compromise between elegance and simplicity. The service is fast and welcoming, the atmosphere is always pleasant. It's a great place to relax in the middle of a workday.

Perfect lunch for our lazy Monday afternoon. Started with a cappuccino and matcha latte and ordered each of their Monday menus for lunch. The pork in Cretan pita bread and the fava, tomatoes and cretan bread rusk were both delish! Friendly service and really affordable for Swiss standards.

A very special place awaits you here! We were there for brunch on a Saturday and absolutely loved it. The owners are very warm and accommodating! It's nice to see how familiar they are with the customers :) The food is absolutely brilliant! Super tasty and unique dishes. Inside it is beautifully furnished and invites you to linger comfortably.
