Food was no more than average for us. Unfortunately there were canned mushrooms and not even homemade spaetzli in the 'Chef Menu'. Therefore the price is too high for this spaetzle pan. Otherwise, a cozy restaurant with a regular table.

Good day, We wanted to end our beautiful day of hiking in the region with dinner in that restaurant. Unfortunately our visit didn't end the day well as we had originally planned. First of all, I would like to point out that the outside area could be looked after better, especially when it comes to weeds, it is not very inviting. The waitress, who initially seemed nice, came to our table and stood there motionless, no greeting or anything. I had to say by myself that I would like to drink and eat something. The "Fanta" we ordered quickly turned out to be some kind of cheap orange soda, so please don't write Fanta on the menu if it isn't. We also ordered the cream schnitzel with 'pasta'...wow. Well, we asked what that meant and got the answer “pasta, something like croissants”. That was ok, but spaghetti was ultimately served with the schnitzel. Why the waitress couldn't tell us in advance which pasta was available with the schnitzel and why there were no croissants (as I said) remains a mystery to us. My companion didn't want and didn't order spaghetti. Any concession from the innkeeper in the form of an exchange was vehemently rejected. We should pay extra for it. That was very unfriendly, even though the menu had such nice words at the beginning, saying that they were trying to accommodate the guests' wishes. By the way, my schnitzel wasn't tasty, oven schnitzel is a lot better. All in all, a complete waste of money. The shop gives me the impression that only local (Swiss) guests are welcome and that there is a certain hostility towards Germans, which is a shame. I can't recommend this restaurant, it's better to spend a few more francs for better food and professional service. The good reviews here most likely come from local regulars, don't be put off. Probably a good place for an after-work beer with village colleagues, but not good for anything else.
