the pizol hut, the best place for a break on the mountain. The service is friendly, the cuisine is excellent and the cakes and pastries are world class. The prices are moderate and the seats are sometimes happert because we are not the only ones who know that it is good there. ..gladly again and again!

When we arrived we almost couldn't find a place, we sat with another family. We waited and when we wanted to order we were told that the kitchen would be closed for an hour. The restaurant was full and you seriously want to close the kitchen for an hour? That's not possible and it's not even high season. Very bad.

I don't understand these negative reviews. Despite all the negative reviews, I was surprised at how good the food was. The service was partly Austrian and the food also had an Austrian touch. The insult is over, my wife and I immediately felt at home with Susanne. Dear Swiss... pull your stick out of your ass and relax at an altitude of 2222 meters with a fantastic panorama. And have a bit of understanding for the staff and, above all, a portion of dry humor. For food, I can only recommend the Schnipo and the vegetable cream soup + the delicious apricot dumplings, the goulash soup and the yeast dumplings are just as good. Portions were surprisingly large. Quite OK in terms of price. Thank you, see you next time.

My partner and I had lunch at the Pizolhütte last Sunday - the hut was very well attended. Unfortunately, only 1 of 4 waitresses present was allowed to take orders and collect them. This meant that it took 20 minutes before we could place an order and after eating another 20 minutes (and 4 queries) until we finally received the bill. Other guests felt the same way, so we weren't the only ones upset. When asked about the long wait, a waitress replied, "Then go somewhere else." Absolutely unacceptable. The operator of the hut should urgently rethink its service concept.

Nice cabin not great view. Prices are rather high for the portion size, but clearly not every guest likes to eat the same amount. Don't have high expectations when it comes to schnitzel (it probably comes from the freezer). Eat good. Friendly service.

Stunning location and friendly service!

Arrival after 5 hours of hiking at 3 p.m. Almost immediately we were told that we had to order quickly because the kitchen was closing. While ordering, the waitress continually corrected us that we were mispronouncing the menus and that we should move forward. Questions about the food are absolutely not welcome (I wanted to know whether the barley soup was also available vegetarian...). In order to pay we had to go to great lengths again. We were perplexed by how unfriendly people were treated here. After all, we were very friendly and unfortunately there is nothing we can do about a chronic staff shortage. The food came in stages and was quite okay (house salad, fitness plate with pizza and Kaiserschmarrn). It's a shame to have to end the day like this after a great hike. Conclusion and recommendation: Leave the Pizolhütte on the left and go straight onto the chairlift and down into the valley.

Very good food and courteous staff To recommend

On a winter hike on the panoramic path on the Pizol, we stopped for a coffee break at the Pizolhütte. We sat outside, so I can only rate that! The hut has a very nice outdoor area, you can sit protected from the wind by the panoramic windows of the hut with a view of the Pizol. When the weather is nice, the terrace is very crowded, but that's normal in a ski resort. The staff was very friendly and attentive. My conclusion: I can't rate the food, but the ambience is very nice and you can have a relaxing stop.

Four of us had dinner in this hut a week ago. The weather was nice and we found a place outside in the sun. At first we were told in a very unfriendly manner that orders had been stopped due to excessive demands. And that at 2 p.m. We were impatiently told to hurry up with the drink as they didn't have time to wait. Since the sun disappeared, we looked for a table inside to eat. Another waitress told us that we couldn't just change tables. Of course we would have paid for the drinks we consumed inside. There was an extremely unfriendly discussion and I heard our first waitress say, "They should go back to table 36." Are you crazy? I have never experienced anything like it. The food was barely edible and completely overpriced. At the end the “boss” came and also insulted us. We should understand that her staff hasn't taken any breaks yet, etc. She has a staff shortage and we should just bring her staff, then the service would be better. I don't have the words to describe this rudeness. It couldn't be more unprofessional. We will never set foot in this hut again and do not recommend it to anyone. This is my first review ever, but it's something everyone should know. As a guest you are absolutely not welcome there. Hospitality is different 😡

Food wasn't good and service was bad. A pity.

Absolute juice shop! Unmotivated staff, orders taken incorrectly, you aren't even greeted, the restaurant was half empty. We waited more than an hour for our food. In addition, about 4 people ordered the same thing after us but got their food before us. Never again. It's better to go to the mountain station. Only two were understanding, apologized and bought us a coffee.

Every year a new chance, every year the same deception. All the stars are for the service, which improved significantly since last time. The menu is boring to death and the food itself even more mediocre. Why don't they visit the other restaurants around for inspiration? Every single one not owned by the Pizolbahnen is vastly superior.

Price/quality doesn't match, too expensive for what's there (for sausage and cheese salad, the cheese has to be paid separately 2.00.-) In general, the food is too expensive, you just have to look at the people's faces when the plate comes🤔🤔🤔 Service great and friendly staff👍👍👍

Amazing place with a great view to get a well deserved beer, suure moscht and something to eat after a bit of hiking. Went there with some friends to complete the 5 Seen Wanderung and the Pizol Hütte was out last stop. We enjoyed the sun and the cold drinks, while getting some rest. But you gotta be careful with the time of the last cable car going down, as it leaves at 4pm.

Snapped at because we drank coffee and didn't eat anything. With such rude staff, I would have liked to walk backwards out and puke out the coffee again.

A pity ;-( 2020: Creative cuisine, great quality 2022: Not even the Italian sauce is homemade and the ice cream (chuaflade) didn't even consist of a scoop of ice cream... at around 11 CHF...

Beautiful panorama. Service was very friendly and accommodating and quick. Food wasn't exactly a hit. Fries without salt and the “Kaiserschmarren” was not good. Applesauce was forgotten and the one we shared was not fluffy at all. Since I come from the catering industry and learned in Tyrol, I unfortunately have to say that was nothing. It's also a shame that there is no parasol. Not pleasant to eat in the blazing sun. Prices were appropriate for the location and effort.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the majority. We've been here in summer and winter and didn't experience good, courteous service either time. Price-performance ratio just doesn't fit, which is a shame because the hut is very nice!

1. Pumpkin cream soup, quite good. 2. Barley soup? There were more beans in there than anything else. I don't like beans and I can't tolerate them either! I was expecting a barley soup, not a mixture of bean soup…. A whole 9.50 Fr unacceptable. 3. Hörnli Ghackets with applesauce... I've never experienced that you can even screw that up. This was the most disgusting food ever on the plate. How can you make something so simple, so really unappetizing... A whopping 20.- for unsalted pasta that wasn't just cooked softly, that would still be okay... no, it was overcooked and tasted like cardboard. As if the pasta had been kept warm in the steamer 😅 just disgusting and inedible. The sauce was way too salty for my friend... I thought it was okay. The only thing that tasted good was the applesauce. Sad story really... So, we take this with us: Unfortunately, Hörnli Ghackets is not always a “good selection”, apparently you can do a lot wrong. P.S Hörnli Ghackets M-Budget microwave food costs CHF 2.85 and tastes really good! Maybe you can buy them and sell them for 20.-, it really tastes good!! Barley soup is a bean soup. The price of the food is overpriced and the service is poor. At least the beer was cold! There was never any question as to whether the food was OK. So I won't visit this hut again! Not recommended. By the way, we stood there for 15 minutes and waited patiently for a free table because no staff spoke to us or greeted us. 😅 already weak, didn't even say hello...

In 30 years of skiing, I have never experienced such a bad hut! Two hours of waiting for a seat and 0815 food. We don't even have to talk about covid - no masks and control what so ever...

Food was okay, staff hopelessly overwhelmed by the rush. The result was waiting times of 20 minutes or more just to pay. In total we had to spend almost two hours there. Nobody can imagine that on a sunny Saturday there will be more guests than a few service staff can handle.

The service was nice and courteous, but overwhelmed. You can argue about the food. The fries were well fried (which is not really demanding), but the oxtail soup was a disaster, tasted like the ready-made gravy from a well-known Swiss company with very little taste.

I usually don't like to give such bad reviews here, but I have to do it again and again. Unfortunately, here you are disappointed again and again. Absolutely disorganized. I understand that there are a lot of people. But even today, after 4 attempts to order and waiting for over an hour, I still haven't received a drink. After 20 minutes of unsuccessful payment attempts, the person sitting next to me left the restaurant without paying. A pity. The idea of ​​a take a way would also be great, but if there is no one there at the take a way counter, it is unfortunately of no use. It's a shame I'll avoid this place despite the good view. There are enough good alternatives on the mountain.

A classic 2rп Pi for prices (expensive) 2r for mangy and rancid

Today we were here again because the view is really great. The food here wouldn't be that bad, probably even good, but the service really leaves a lot to be desired. After waiting a long time to find a seat, we waited even longer to be served. After a long wait without service, we went in and wanted to get something from the take away. Unfortunately that wasn't possible either, we would have to wait outside for service. Another guest had been wanting to pay the bill for a long time, but after several unsuccessful attempts he left without paying... We also finally left without consuming anything and were then served very well and relatively quickly by our competitors. The worst thing about it: it wasn't the first time we've been disappointed! I'm really sorry, I usually only give positive reviews on Google, but this was really too much of a good thing...

The six of us got a total of 2.5! Hours here, of which we spent 30 minutes eating, the rest of the time we had to wait (worse than the midnight service); the waiter was constantly stressed, there were far too few staff available, and the billing was completely wrong! In addition, the prices are expensive! (Tip: buy 2 or 3 berry syrups of 2dl each)

Went skiing in Pizol yesterday and took a break at the Pizolhütte. Despite Corona, the offer is varied and is freshly prepared. We didn't have to wait long either. When the sun is shining, there are plenty of opportunities to eat with enough distance. But otherwise... it gets fresh quickly. But the landlord can't do anything about it... The food was delicious 😋 The only thing that bothers me about the takeaway...is the amount of waste that is produced. Maybe we could think of another solution here. It also felt like there weren't many trash cans around the hut. That's why only 4 stars

Due to Covid19 the restaurant offers only take away at the moment but they serve diffrent dishes and drinks. So you can get a meal but not go inside or have a seat..

A special place at the edge of the mountain, you need three cable cars to get there. Well heated, view, excellent customer service. tasty food.

In winter during the ski season it's just too crowded at lunchtime and the waiting times are too long. Simply too small for the many people for whom a magnificent view awaits. And when it's very busy, the staff is a bit stressed and the food can sometimes not be tasty. If not full, then really recommended! Warm food only until 3 p.m.!

Can't say anything bad about the Pizolhütte. The service was friendly, took the order quickly, delivered it and billed it. The terrace was full and there was a lot of activity in the beautiful autumn weather.

The Pizolhütte is one of our favorite excursion sites in our area. The mountains and the beautiful restaurant. I would like to thank the hard-working staff who make this journey to work every day to prepare my beloved cordon bleu. Fast, friendly service, simply great. If I wait 5 minutes longer for my starter soup, it won't be a problem given this view. Unfortunately, I'm not the only one up there. I have a day off. Friendly welcome and competent service from young waiters. Unfortunately, we and other guests were shouted at in an unfriendly manner by an older employee. E.g. whether you have paid to use the toilet. You could feel the bad mood in the whole restaurant. Customer and communication training would be urgently needed. Will probably avoid this restaurant.

Mega cool with this modern ordering system. Unfortunately the damned starter comes with the main course. That's what happens when only one person orders and the others bring it. Service staff not exactly the best. The person who clears away needs a tray for 2 plates and gets 4x for 8 plates. Prices are also too expensive. 6.- for a mineral mountain restaurant or not.
