Best pizza in Ascona in summer, raclette and fondue in winter. My tip: delicious barley soup!

When it comes to pizzas or lasagne can you can't fool the Cortile restaurant. The menu is not littered with many different dishes, but rather you concentrate on the essentials. In the lovingly furnished courtyard you feel like you are sitting at home, except that you are served one of the best pizzas and at a fair price. The visit to Cortile is perfectly rounded off with a local beer as an aperitif and a good espresso with grappa. Conclusion: Gladly at any time Thanks

We stopped by this restaurant in the evening to have a glass of wine and drink some water to cool off from the heat. Very good merlot wine but now that a liter of tap water costs me 9 CHF it seems quite excessive to me.

Wonderful ambience in the gallery courtyard of Ascona. Prices are rather at the upper end for the size of the food.

The restaurant was busy, but a table for two was available. Personnel chose to ignore us completely as we waited at the reception. We left after 10 minutes and found a much nicer restaurant with a view over the lake. We were seated and served immediately. There is no view at Cortile.

Great pizzas and appetizers. Nice people. Edit June 25, 2023: I was there year after year. With friends. Alone. It was always excellent and sociable. So. That evening I wanted to go there with my child for the first time. And we were turned away. (And yes, it wasn't full. Only about 1/3 of the tables occupied.) A pity.

The Cortile is a cozy, family restaurant in the heart of Ascona's old town with a lovingly decorated and covered courtyard. In the kitchen, products from local producers are freshly prepared. The owners bake delicious pizzas from spring to autumn. Paula & Sergio are very pleasant and accommodating hosts. I look forward to seeing you again soon.

We had the impression that a lot of things in this restaurant were prepared with love and passion. We also found the ambience and service great. The menu is a bit small in winter, but there is also fondue and raclette. We had the finest foie gras and vegetarian tartare. 3 times 5 points! Thank you for the hospitality.

Beautiful little cozy restaurant in the old town of Ascona. We had a wonderful „Tartar“ and a great home made „Gerstensuppe“. The “Gnocchi con Ragu” and the “Raclette” (à discretion) have been delicious. We also loved Sergios homemade Tiramisu. Very attentive service as well. We will be back :)

It was definitely worth a visit (8/27/22 6:30 p.m.). The first (slightly older) lady was very friendly and spoke several languages ​​🤓👌🏻 I can recommend the Bufala pizza. I'd love to come back.

My husband and I visited this pizzeria for the first time where we ate two fabulous pizzas. The environment is quiet, outdoors and well looked after in detail, nothing to envy of pizzerias in Italy, on the contrary. We were served by Michael, a waiter who was super nice, knowledgeable and attentive to our needs. We will definitely return for the goodness of the pizza, but above all for the impeccable service!

We wanted to have a leisurely lunch at lunchtime (the restaurant was practically empty) with our child (sleeping in the stroller). Unfortunately we were sent away again because of the stroller! A pity!! Maybe we'll try again in about 1 1/2 years if walking children are desired?!

Were there at 6:30 p.m. because they don't accept reservations, but then said they don't accept groups of 10 people. Previously, a family with a child wanted to go to the restaurant, but had to leave because they didn't want children. This restaurant apparently doesn't need any customers!

Yesterday we went to the Pizzeria Cortile for the second time (since the change of host). The food was again super tasty. From the mixed salad with a fine Italian dressing to the large pizza and the fine wood-fired lasagna to the hearty tiramisu with an espresso, which of course should never be missed. The atmosphere was really cozy. The courtyard is beautifully decorated with lots of flowers. Our waiter was also very attentive and friendly. A successful evening!
