Pochtenfall in Aeschi bei Spiez

Very unfriendly service. When the food was served, we didn't ask for a good appetite and didn't ask if it was or was good. This from the hostess as well as the staff. You could see straight away that they didn't want to do it anymore and were happy when it was over. I wish the new tenants better luck.

The service doesn't seem to be sufficient at all when the house is full. We had to wait 35 minutes for drinks in the afternoon. The friendliness also leaves a lot to be desired.

That day I was on a surprise trip into the blue with the car company Roland Zemp. A very beautiful place that makes history. Very nice hosts, very delicious food, the salad dressing is "homemade" in the grandmother's style and the dessert "Chriesilisi" was a dream. We recommend!

I can highly recommend a visit to the Pochtenfall restaurant. Friendly service. Cool, funny landlady knows a lot of interesting things to say about the Suldtal.

A beautiful place to hike, linger, switch off. On the way there there are many opportunities to park and rest at the stream. Tickets for parking at the beginning of the route to the restaurant/hotel. Only walk to the waterfall from the restaurant with good shoes. The last section is very steep.

Very nice service, great apple pie. The circular route to the waterfall is sensationally beautiful. Good footwear is absolutely necessary.

We only ate ice cream, the staff was very friendly. The small playground with a large trampoline and slide was great for the children. The surrounding area is also worth seeing.

Lovely restaurant in a beautiful setting. We only sat outside for a drink and being a weekday it was fairly quiet. I imagine weekends would be very busy. There is a waterwheel there which powers some lighting in the restaurant.

This is a restaurant that is worth visiting, service, welcome, cuisine and above all the setting are simply perfect.

wonderfully rustic restaurant at the end of the world, or at least at the end of the Suldtal. Extremely friendly service from the owners, ate wonderful chamois pepper and enjoyed the ambience. The Pochtenfall tour was quite strenuous, at least for pensioners. But we'd love to come back!

The area is very beautiful. The The staff was overwhelmed with a group of around 12 people and shouted at people who wanted to order or pay that they could go eat somewhere else. Unfortunately we had a fat fly fried on the rösti. No thanks for the tip, the waiter was very unfriendly, a shame.

We have often visited this restaurant (a MUST for our vacation in the Bernese Oberland). The food was always brilliant and the service quick and impeccable. We'd love to come back

Romantic place to stay. Restaurant is ok so far, only has a little electricity on site so no fries. Parking spaces are also available for wheelchair users. Ate very good game - great cuisine. Unfortunately, your service staff has a lot of room for improvement. Unfriendly, not coordinated, no overview, impatient with each other. That would be your business card. Therefore only 3*. A pity.

Very beautifully located, traditional restaurant near the Pochtenfall 🌊 We treated ourselves to the “Kirschenlisi” there after the descent from the Morgenberghorn! 😋 This is a delicious dessert made from boiled cherries, a scoop of vanilla ice cream and whipped cream 🍨 I can recommend the dessert as well as the restaurant!

After a hike from Kiental over the Renggpass, we stopped at lunchtime to have something to drink and eat. The service was very friendly and attentive, the food was good.

It was a chance find and it was outstanding - there was wild boar sausage with rösti and onion sauce. The location is very nicely located and ideal for children. Service very friendly and accommodating.

A bit of a drive to get there, once you park you have to walk 20 to 25 minutes, be careful it's slippery, it's just magnificent and you can walk around.

It's so beautiful in the rest. Pochtenfall. The food is also highly recommended.

Great place tucked away at the end of a dead end road. They serve "Wild" / deer, wild pig and gems bock beginning mid September. Nice for a coffee, cake or a bowl of pumpkin soup. Parking is free for guests. If you eat yo just hike, park 100 meters up the street and pay. Surrounded on all sides by steep hills, pine trees and running water. About 30 to 40 minutes walk from Aeschiried school house parking lot.

Beautiful location, unfortunately very busy at this time of year. This is a cozy authentic restaurant in the early and late season. No culinary delights but quality is reasonable.

Cadre idyllique au bout d'une route de montagne depuis Aeschi, avec les chutes à l'arrière ( ballade 1h30).Accueil très sympathique malgré l'affluence, serveurs et serveuses sont aux petits oignons pour nous.La saucisse fumée et la salade de pommes de terre, basique mais de qualité et bien servie.Le pain c'est un détail, était délicieux.Les prix ne sont pas excessifs et je reviendrai avec plaisir!Merci.
