Sometimes closes before the stated times

Unfriendly service, kebab meat cold and dry, was probably produced at lunchtime, canned beer 5.- SFr. a disgrace. NEVER AGAIN!

Unfortunately the taste is not really my thing. The location is great and there are enough seats.

With the spicy kebab box the spiciness was exaggerated and with a normal kebab box the food was swimming in sauce

NOT RECOMMENDABLE. We've been to Portofino many times, but today the service was so bad that we definitely won't be back. Three of us stopped by to place an order for our family (9 kebabs/pizzas in total). We had to wait in line for a while and when our turn came there were about 5 people waiting behind us. The employee started frantically making part of the order and barely listened to our requests. He threw the meat and the already very brown fries into the 3 boxes he ordered at the same time, added sauce and sealed them immediately. The kebab bread became very dark in the oven. When we politely asked him to add salad and vegetables to the kebab boxes, he just said loudly: “NO!”. We asked several times and kindly asked him for a salad. We even offered to pay extra. At first he completely ignored us and then, after asking about 5 times, he replied that the boxes were full and other people were waiting for their orders. After that he completely ignored us again. Whenever he asked, he just wanted to know what was going to be on the next pizza. Finally we threatened to leave the restaurant - again the counter question came as to what should be on the pizza. When we asked if he understood us, he just said in annoyance: “Yes.” We then left and won’t be coming back. We have never encountered such unfriendly, unmotivated service in a restaurant.

Friendly service, the meat in the “vegi Dürüm” is rather unnecessary.

They were friendly but when I order a Dürüm I expect meat with salad and not the other way around. Otherwise I would order a Cesar salad..

You order a Dürüm and get a mini-Dürüm which has more salad than meat. The quality also leaves something to be desired.

Worst Dürum I've ever eaten, meat dry, no taste just katasfrofal.

We called and asked if the meat was halal, but they shouted at us and were told it was pork (the kebab).

It's better to make the kebabs more expensive and fill them properly instead of more expensive, smaller breads, little sauce and less meat.

I have been a customer at Portofino with my daughter for years. Since yesterday we will no longer enter this store. One of the employees was racist, arrogant and uncivilized to my friend yesterday and in the end refused to sell 4 Dürum + fries. Very unfortunate. We will NEVER enter this store again and will never recommend it to others. We have always recommended Portofino in Lyss and the surrounding area. We definitely won't do it again. Very unfriendly service. Switched prices and asked for more than what was on the board. We ordered the pizza, but when we picked it up the pizza hadn't been made yet. When asked why the pizza wasn't made, aggressive behavior was visible. Never again! Long wait!

Eating (Dürüm) very sparingly with meat.

Long waiting time. The pizzas were dry and as you can see in the pictures, they had probably been in the oven too long. However, the service was helpful and gave the drinks on the house as compensation.

Better not again than disgusting! The kebab tastes like shoe sole. So think carefully about where you go to eat!

The Portofino used to be delicious and since the new owner changed, the quality of the food was lost and the kebab box was cold and the service is unfortunately no longer as friendly as it used to be

The food is quite okay. Unfortunately, the quality varies greatly, so that one time it's a great dish and the next time you get old/limp lettuce... the same goes for the rest of the vegetables.

Was in Lyss again and thought I would eat a Dürüm and was disappointed! What's actually going on with the "boss", what's wrong with him?!?! very very unfriendly and the hygiene is catastrophic, the "drying towel" is his sweat towel on his shoulder?!?!! Unfriendly, unhygienic and the meat was too dry and smeared with far too much sauce. I wouldn't take anything as a gift either. The staff does the best they can with a boss like this because he is a very unfriendly and aggressive man.

Ordered Dürüm, halfway through I noticed something slimy in my mouth. After I choked the thing out, I saw a snail on my paper. Had to throw up almost half of the Dürüm. I called immediately. Some unfriendly employee who had apparently been working there for a week answered the phone. After I received no refund and no re-delivery, it simply hung up. Then called the boss, similar reaction. Can never eat Dürüm with salad again. Not even worth one star. Absolute disgrace. Never eat anything there again!!!!!!

Never again. I have never experienced such a rude service/manager. Was lied to when asking whether the Dürum was spicy and when asking for more sauce he wanted an additional 2 francs. It's a shame that I've already paid for everything, otherwise he could have kept everything. This is true for the first and last time with him.

Very, very small portion, even the vegetables are saved. Nothing is homemade, not even the sauces. Meat was dry and not freshly cut. Unhygienic place, unfriendly salesman (who is also the boss). Still a proud price of 9.- per Dürüm. This review is based on multiple visits. I've been there several times, but I don't go anymore. I have to point out that I have very small hands.

Today I felt like eating a Dürum. I went there and there weren't many people taking my order. I asked if you could cut my Dürum in half? Dürum costs 9.- The boss said to me: Don't you have a knife at home? I found his question completely strange because I only asked if they could cut it in half for me. I said: Yes, of course! I gave him 20.- and only got 10.- back. Hello ? Why 10.- it costs 9.- He told me 10 Fr for halving it. I don't think that's OK at all! Never again at PORTOFINO!

I had had good experiences for a long time, but the quality and cleanliness declined and the boss became increasingly rude to the customers. Last time we had a pizza kebab, a dürüm and a doner I won it and the pizza was so spicy that you couldn't eat it even though we weren't asked if we wanted it spicy. I can't recommend the portofino more.

I've known Portofino since they opened in Lyss, which means this review is based on years of experience. I haven't relied on delivery for a long time because sometimes it comes on time, sometimes he forgets it or sometimes comes 2 hours later, which means I'd rather get it myself. Unfortunately, the majority of the dürüms and kebabs only consist of flatbread (a little larger than a 5fr piece ) than the content, which at 9-13fr/piece depending on the type of pick-up or drop-off is really hefty for the small content. I've often seen that he warms up old meat, whether before work or even at lunchtime, depending on the taste, if you're lucky, there was a time when Portofino was really good, but I've given up on it and got another one Looking for a kebab shop. Conclusion: taste is sometimes different, price performance is poor and it is better to forego delivery and get it yourself.

The boss was very unfriendly and the store is very unhygienic. Dürüm way too spicy, because pizza oil is used instead of flakes, sauces are all ready-made and meat tasted like it was older...

I came into the store on Sunday at 2:02 p.m. and then they immediately said they were taking a break at 2:00 p.m.! Even though there is nothing about it on the internet! I was told quite rudely that I couldn't order anything anymore. What a shame!!

We stopped here briefly after a shopping trip to fill our stomachs with kebab. Unfortunately, the kebab was terribly over-spiced (I ordered it normally spicy), so that you could no longer make out the individual ingredients of the kebab. The shop made a very unclean impression; no attention was paid to hygiene here (even during the Corona period). After dinner in the evening, all of us (group of 6) felt stomach cramps. I think we all agree not to go here anymore.

Best food in Lyss, I've tried from all the places where they make this kind of food called durum or something. But when I ate from here it was so delicious. The boss there, he is always with smile, always fun, and he does everyting perfectly with lots of meat, salad, sauce etc. The other workers don't put so much meat, salad, sauce etc. I don't know why, but it it is okay. There is parking for 2 cars directly in front of the restaurant. Fast service!

The order didn't come, we waited over 2 hours, we had arranged to meet and so the evening was a total failure and destroyed.

The food was ok, but I and several of my friends had moderate to severe stomach pains and sometimes even nausea. The hygiene in the kitchen wasn't optimal either because there was dirt on the floor and the hot sauce was way too strong, so two colleagues found it unpleasant. Even the day after, some had indigestion, most likely due to the food

The service wasn't really friendly and the store didn't look very inviting. The Dürüm was okay but nothing special. The fries in the kebab box were a bit soggy but otherwise they tasted good.

We wanted to order food by phone. The minimum order value for where we live was 50.- unfortunately our order "only" came to 45.-.... since we didn't want to order anything extra, the gentleman hung up the phone on us and canceled the order.... nice if you did didn't need it 🤔 We then ordered pizza from Lysser for 42.-... it was very tasty

The restaurant is in a very suitable location but the service there was not very responsive. In addition, the kebab is very small compared to other good local kebabs and the ingredients were unfortunately not fresh. Additionally, the shop owner had the mask under his nose and it looked like it had been worn for more than a day.

The generously calculated delivery time of 45 minutes was not met. When I asked where my order was after 60 minutes, I was told that it was on the way. After another 30 minutes I called again. Suddenly it said my order had been forgotten. After another 30 minutes still nothing. No more!

We had to wait 2.5 hours for our food. 45 minutes were promised. Ordered at 6:15 p.m. received at 8:30 p.m. I called several times to ask. Nobody informed us about a delay. In the end we had rubbery, cold fries and cooked salad, because it was kept in the box with the originally warm food the whole time. And the whole thing cost a whopping almost 70 CHF for 4 menus. A price reduction would not only have been appropriate but mandatory. Not because it made the food better, but because the food no longer had much value. Very disappointing and never again. A pity!

Eating a Dürüm there again after a long time. As you can see, a lot of positive things have changed. Meat no longer so dry, fresh ingredients. Unfortunately you cannot pay by card!

The food is good like a good Turk! What I will advise this establishment is to improve the ordering services. When there are people in front of the cash register, it creates a mess to know who's first and who's next?! In short, it’s putting this mess in order and it’s great.

Wanted to try another food courier in Lyss... I'm really sorry that I have to write this review... The guys certainly do their best and I can't judge the food either because I just didn't accept it... Reason: Waiting time too long, food was cold and (even though I said so when ordering) I was shouted at when I wanted to pay with a 100th... Long story short... Never again!!!

The quality has deteriorated greatly. Forgot meat on the pizza, Dürüm was cold. When I came into the store around 9 p.m. one evening during my break at work, a man was waiting in front of me. He had already ordered. I couldn't get my order until 10 minutes. give up later and only when the customer has paid and received the goods. Such an annoyance! My break was almost over. But when the owner is there it is always very good and he always offers us a coffee. 😊
