PUB Appenzell in Appenzell

Basel school visiting Appenzell and then ended up in this pub. Great atmosphere and great service. Mega cool evening :-)

Surprised to find a pub in little Appenzell. I just ordered fish and chips, and then something unusual happened. I only had an international card, and they only accept cash. I was disconcerted because I was already drinking beer, but the guy said: "you can drink and eat in peace, then you can bring me the money." Only in Switzerland!

Absolutely awesome, the Pub Appenzell for those who don't know Appenzell, whether as a tourist or just a guest, simply mega, the best pub far and wide, and the service is professional. Only to be recommended, especially the live concerts or DJ's, simply top.

If you like to go out for a drink, it's an ideal place. Very friendly staff. There's also music or a DJ every now and then. Directly at Appenzell train station. 👍matthiasdoerig

Very good atmosphere during the 2022 World Cup. I came there as a soldier, the staff and customers were very welcoming!

Great restaurant with original bar counter from Ireland. Super friendly and courteous staff. Regularly exciting events and live acts. Possibility to smoke within the premises including a separate non-smoking area. Always great to meet there 🙂

PUB located closest to the station with drinks and impeccable staff. There is a table football at 1chf for 16 balls to liven up the evening!

A nice team and always varied live music/DJs. A guarantee for nightlife in Appenzell for years.

Very loud music. Difficult to speak. Otherwise the servers are top notch.

Friendly atmosphere. One of the few places we found open in the middle of the week. We wouldn't have found it without asking locals. Bring cash.

Slightly intimidating to feel back in 30 years ago smoking environment. Prepare for trashing your clothes afterwards.

Small, cute pub. Be sure to try the barrel of air, which is amazing. *-*

Despite the Friday evening, there was a relatively good mix of ages. Great music. Friendly service

Really nice pub, as you would expect. Unfortunately I didn't get a Baileys or an Irish coffee. Should actually be a “must have”. Barmaids were overwhelmed by my wishes. It's a shame dear operators. I hope next time I can get an Irish coffee or a Baileys.

Beer tasteless and stale, strange atmosphere, in this pub you feel really uncomfortable and not welcome at all!

Very suitable for smokers, Guinness tastes very good. Predominantly young audience, attentive service. A place to feel good if you are a smoker. There is a very large selection of drinks.

The pub is divided into two. The larger of the two rooms is the smoking section where the live band also stays. When the entertainer was introduced, the loudspeakers were turned up so loud that some people had to cover their ears! Staff was friendly. Pub is small but pleasantly decorated.
