Pyri in Bern

The cafe has a really cool location, especially for summer. The terrace invites you to linger longer and is therefore usually full to the brim on nice days. The coffee tastes good and the café also offers other delicious homemade drinks. But the service really leaves a lot to be desired, you usually have to wait a long time before you are even noticed, orders are often forgotten and they are often not particularly friendly.

Great selection of Beer and Wine, and a lovely way to waste the day watching life pass by.

When we were about to leave after 10 minutes, we were served. When our coffee had been waiting at the counter for almost 10 minutes and arrived lukewarm, we weren't so amused anymore... But the ambience was quite okay

It's a shame that the waitress couldn't speak to us in a normal tone.

Cozy place, nice to meet for a chat and a drink. We arrived too late for food sadly, but there's lots of great food options nearby and you can come back after :)

We had a very pleasant hour or so here to warm up on a cold, freezing-fog day in December. We couldn't see the sights so this was the next best thing. A buzzing, busy atmosphere and reasonable prices, for a Swiss city Inn!

My Tarte Donistia was the perfect late lunch on a Sunday when we just wanted a quick drink. We sat outside on the sunny terrace. Dogs are absolutely no problem there. Nice conditions, good location, good food, gladly again.

Local spot, rather unpretentious which in a way makes it slightly pretentious but not in a bad way. Great spot to meet a gang for a beer or have a coffee outside alone.

Went there for a drink with friends, the place reeked of the most terrible smells of drunk people and sweat. Although they were closing at 11pm after 10:30 pm the waitress refused to serve anymore drinks though a couple of other tables were served. Never going back to this place not even for a glass of water.

We had a plate with different meats, olives, cheeses (can't remember the name) . It was delicious and beautifully presented.

Full of people you can't moove. Service very slow. Very expensive prices. Just a meeting point for local residents

The cappuccino was not nice and my hot and strong chocolate was not what I expected. The chestnut cake was a bit heavy and only the apple pie was nice. The staff was helpful.

Horrible experience, waiters are not professional at all. We were waiting since 40 minutes, when th waiter come back to us to tell us that he didn't order the food... He was completely slow and not helpful at all Really disappointing

The people of Bern seem to be used to being ripped off. 4.60 .- for a half-full cup of coffee!! You can also collect the sugar. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it.

I love watching the goings-on in the city and this is the ideal place for this: the best view, right in the middle of life, drinks of all kinds and selected small dishes. The employees look after our guests with attentiveness and lots of fun.

From the hearing saw teaches me lies. But today an older gentleman told me that the two of them drank a carton of Cynar beer at Pyri. The rod would have cost 12 francs, which almost blew me away. If I interpret the price list correctly, this is simply the price of a Cynar 4 cl and a bar of 30 cl. This is a disgrace even if someone comes up with the idea of ​​adding them together. But that's only one side of the truth, because even if you add them up, it's still fraud. Because a bar of 26 cl costs “only” 4.33 francs and not 5 as calculated. I think a restaurant that acts so inaccurately and insensitively should no longer be visited. But maybe none of that is true..... Then I would of course adjust the rating immediately.

Baba iced tea, my favorite place actually! But the employee who speaks standard German is extremely unpleasant to me :/ Forgotten orders, unreasonable comments... it's a shame

Uncomplicated service, nice and central

We arrived with no reservation for a casual Sunday Lunch. We had to wait a few minutes but very quickly were seated on the terrace. We were welcomed by very professional staff and looked after perfectly. The food was excellent quality and reasonable prices. We would go back any time!
