The place was cozy and warm, the food was really tasteful we had a lasagna and ravioli but we were disappointed when we couldn't the dessert. We asked for the menu at 21:50 and the waitress told the kitchen was closed. This information was not provided in advance. Too bad

Fine, inexpensive and very good service

Everything was very tasty...but the price/performance ratio for spaghetti Bolognese was not justified. Much too little.

Ordered Beef on a hot stone with potatoes and vegetables. The dish is incredible. I haven't experienced such taste pleasure for a long time. The broccoli in this dish was also incredible. I recommend taking white beer with this dish. If the meat is not cooked enough for you, just cut it into pieces and it will come out on the stone.

The food was excellent, which is why I made a new reservation directly at the restaurant, setting the day, time, including the meal with the lady who served us lunch. We messed up our schedule a bit just to make it to the scheduled time. The surprise was unexpected: the restaurant was closed. :( It reopened after 2 hours. The price-quality ratio is somewhat ok, taking into account that the location is in the city center.

The food was generally good and the waitress was kind and warm. Risotto and pasta were delicious however the pizzas were average. The dough is thin but there’s something missing in the pizzas. No special taste especially in comparison with other Pizzerias in Basel. I was a bit disappointed. I recommend the pastas and risottos.

Super delicious pizza, fantastic… and you can also choose with whole grain pizza dough, brilliant! Rarely have I eaten such a delicious pizza! We were there spontaneously for lunch and were greeted warmly. Ambience is nice, depending on where you sit. The only thing that's a bit of a shame is that the waitress doesn't speak German well, which doesn't make it easy to order. We had to ask again, otherwise we would have gotten the wrong thing. - But really, the pizza is worth it, would come back in a heartbeat!

My porcini mushroom ravioli with truffles were very good. The orange Aperol was also very fine and tangy!

The pizzas were excellent although the selection is rather small. What wasn't pleasant at all was the ambience. We explicitly reserved a table with the red benches and noted this in the reservation. When we arrived we were taken straight to a small table in the middle. The restaurant was more than busy and the staff seemed stressed. Our reservation request was not responded to in any way. It's a bit of a shame, because the food was really very good, but we can find better alternatives where the overall concept is convincing.

After the pizza I had a bit of diarrhea.

If you want to sip one of the best pizzas in downtown Basel, Ramazzotti is the right place for you. You'll probably only get pizza this good again if you travel 700 km south. Many thanks to the team!!

A less than friendly welcome! Even if there were seats available, the lady who received us tried to almost force us to stay where she wanted, not where we wanted! In the end he accepted our wish! We said that we don't have francs and that we will pay in euros, for which he charged us 10% more! The food was not exceptionally tasty and the service quite cold and unfriendly! It should be avoided, there are nicer places in Basel!

I was in the restaurant yesterday for a company event. I've walked past it a lot but never been in it. In terms of accessibility, it couldn't be better located in the heart of Basel. The red ambience stands out and I really like it. The pizza was very good, but could have been crispier on the inside. The tiramisu dessert is presented very nicely, but I personally didn't like it that much and that night I got a stomach ache from it - it can't be from the pizza. Otherwise a good overall impression and one that I'm sure you'll be happy to visit again.

Today I had dinner with a group. It was friendly and I thought the food was good. - For me the place was too loud and the tables were too close together. - The service employee didn't speak German very well - I didn't like the tiramisu, the portion was too big. For me personally it was too expensive.

When I was escorted to the table, 15 minutes passed when I was asked for the drink. There's not much going on but somehow everyone is stressed. A pity.

We were in the marketplatz and enjoying the good vibes inherent in the city when we decided to go for some italian food. We saw Ramazzotti and found its ambience inviting. However, the moment we went inside, the experience was not as we had expected. A pretty lady in blonde hair told us to get seated in a corner. However we chose to sit alongside street facing windows, which seemingly didn't go well with her. She was keeping a smiling face but her responses felt rude and as if she was not interested in attending to us, seemingly because our order size was not big emough or may be because we were not swiss. Later, some other attendant took the handover of our table from her while she started attending to a new group of customers. The new attendant was good though but by this time we had had our share of bad experience with the first one.

Great atmosphere and special decor, fantastic service and great food. Large portions & great quality. Everything is great!

I haven't had such a delicious pizza outside of Italy for a very, very long time!! The Melanzana pizza became my favorite pizza!!! A piece of Italy in every bite, simply wonderful! I love it! Typical Italian cuisine, just love!! Thanks to the kitchen, I'll be back🥰😍🤌🏻👌🏻❤️

Nice spot in Basel where you can sit outside

It was very beautiful and fine. The price is right and the quality is good.

Good Italian in a central location in the heart of Basel's old town

Tables so low that you could hardly lean against them as an adult, it was uncomfortable inside. The blonde Swiss waitress really didn't work at all. A bit passive aggressive and may have a problem with women - even the men wondered for a moment whether they had taken it correctly. It's strange that the salads were delivered to a group at such long intervals. Also funny: two people came to our table and asked the same questions one after the other. So I really didn't think the experience qualifies as a solid restaurant. But the prices were tight.

We enjoyed a lovely pizza accompanied by Aperol Spritz. The only issue is that Basel is so expensive,!! 80CHF for 2 pizzas and the drinks.

Very courteous and smiling with all customers. This would be enough to entice you to visit the restaurant. I would add the excellent food, nice place (clean) and relaxing atmosphere with Italian music in the background. Eros and Michelle are worth visiting, they are in the internal room, VERY internal. :-)

Ok for “any port in a storm” like lunch on a Sunday when other restaurants are closed. But it is overpriced for the quality. Nice service.

It is a cozy place where I have felt very good, the service very good, nice people and the best carbonara I have ever tasted in my life, all excellent.

Food was fine despite small portion. Salmon risotto and chicken pizza was quite well done. Tiramisu was a bit too sweet because of the chocolate nutella? sauce. But the waitress who served us seemed to be a bit grim. She did not light up any candles on our table, while other customers were able to enjoy the romance of it. When we paid the bill, she asked us for a tip. This was quite forced. I have never had such abrupt experience in Europe.

Less than average Italian food. Only one person was working when we dined. Some of our orders were changed due to poor communication and over-work. I ordered Margarita Pizza and it included a piece of meat (pork). Good thing that the waiter replaced it.

Just wanted to go for a quick drink. We arrived, sat outside where it was set up to eat, the first thing we were told was that we only had 30 minutes because they wanted the tables free for people who wanted to eat something. I don't think it's good. Also, they were out of limes, which makes me wonder what kind of bar this is...

My father was there in person a week before the desired date to reserve a table. When the weather is good outside, when the weather is bad inside, this was confirmed by the service. When we arrived yesterday, all the tables outside were occupied and despite an agreement to the contrary, only one table inside was offered. Given the heat inside, we preferred to eat at another restaurant. That is not how it works! We will no longer visit the Ramazotti.

This place was off the main streets and very quaint. We actually at there twice. The service was outstanding. They were patient with us in our poor Italian pronunciation. We had their Sangiovese and it was probably the smoothest wine I have ever had. The brusetta sampler was amazing. Highly recommend for a nice relaxed dinner

I ordered pasta with veal, porcini mushrooms and mascarpone. To my great disappointment, there were no porcini mushrooms in it, but very thinly sliced ​​mushrooms. When I complained, they said that I shouldn't have eaten them (not a large portion anyway) and should have secured the mushrooms "as evidence". The chef wouldn't take my complaint seriously anyway and would claim it was porcini mushrooms. Very disappointing for a hefty price.. :(

Nice restaurant with lots of space and good prices for its location. Staff could be a bit more committed, but overall, I do recommend in terms of the quality and livelihood within this pizzeria.

Very nice place with GREAT pizza. I ordered the Calzone and loved it. Also liked the service. Upon asking for the selection of wine by the glass, I was given a recommendation and got to taste before making my decision, which I haven't encountered in many places. Very nice terrace, excellent for "people watching" while enjoying the food. It was a bit windy on the day of my visit, but I thoroughly enjoyed the food and the friendly and helpful service. Will visit again when I get the chance!

First of all, I have to say that I cannot recommend this place to anyone. First of all, there is a waitress with short blonde hair who was terribly rude and somewhat racist. Just when we ordered it felt like we were unimportant or not “good enough” to be served there. Although we spoke clearly in German/Swiss German, she spoke very slow English to us for a while. Later another waiter came and took our order. My sister's friend specifically asked whether "peperoncini" meant the pizza topping options, salami peperoncini (spicy salami), or the vegetables. He was promised the salami peperoncini, but then came slices of vegetable peperoncini. They then asked again why that was so and the first waitress said “Every normal person knows that peperoncini are hot peppers”. A comment that clearly went too far. As a solution, they just topped the pizza with some regular cold salamis and that was it. I was also promised that a white wine sauce would be used for the seafood spaghetti and was confirmed to me with several “yes of course” and yet they still brought me spaghetti with bad prawns in a tomato sauce. So from the whole picture, I can say that I have never experienced such bad service in Switzerland. Having to pay for this meal was quite a pain.

This restaurant still knows how to serve guests properly and take care of their wishes attentively. Everything is clean and you feel comfortable. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food was very tasteful!! A great card with many unusual variations. The taste is sensational, as is the craftsmanship of the kitchen crew! Bravo 🌷

The pizzas are very good and the service is friendly. We were able to eat there with 16 people (during lunchtime) without a reservation. Even at a table. Unfortunately, tables are very narrow.

Great food, OK selection, rather expensive.

Personally, mixed salad was far too green for me, but it was fresh. The two pizzas had a wonderful, crispy base and were good and plentiful with toppings. It's a shame that only one rosé wine was offered, although several are listed on the menu and also in the off-licence. I would also have been happy if the service had asked if everything was OK. The restaurant wasn't too full.

Were December 31, 2022. The soup of the day was too salty. The atmosphere and service are excellent. Prices are high.

The spaghetti carbonara tasted good, but far too little for the price. The ravioli sauce was totally over salted and the pizza wasn't even cut for that price.

We had the salmon with risotto and the tartuffo ravioli. Both where very good, tasty and abundant. Specially the ravioli tasted awesome. Somo pinot grigio for drink and some lemoncello to finish. Excellent service. Lovely place. Recommended.

The staff was very friendly but unfortunately the food wasn't good. Pizza dough was not baked through. Way too much sauce on the dough. I expected something different after the many good reviews.

After a tour of the city, we passed this establishment which made us want to stop there. The next day, a Sunday evening, we went there full of hope for a welcome that would be warm and Italian cuisine full of promise. Alas, neither one nor the other was there…. An unfriendly waitress (while the other should have been), bruschettas without much flavor and very, very average pizzas, one of which was overcooked while the other had the dough partly damp, therefore undercooked. The icing on the cake, while this establishment closed at 10 p.m., our waitress who, at 9 p.m., started mopping the floor not far from our table... It was an experience! And if management reads this comment they will deduce that they will never see us again.

The staff is very friendly and our food was fantastic. Very fresh and quality ten out of ten. The Filetto di Manzo was very good. I can highly recommend it. We are already looking forward to the next time.

The first thing that surprised me about this place was its atmosphere. The red benches on the right, which can be reached via 2 small steps, are original. Very reminiscent of old films. The waitress was very friendly with a sense of humor, a sure plus for the business. The pasta we ordered was good and cooled down a bit quickly on the flat plate. Wine with it is heavenly. We were surprised at how quickly the restaurant filled up. But there were also more and more service staff there. I'll come here next time I'm in Basel. I thought the music program with hits from the 70s and 80s was brilliant.
