Arancini like from the Sicilian market stall, great Parmigiana di Melanzane and Vitello Tonnato like from Nonna. The pizzas have a great base that you rarely get in German-speaking Switzerland and the dessert is also great. The service staff and the view are also fantastic and really complement the great food.

We left the restaurant and said a friendly goodbye - the boss didn't think this was important and was quiet. Fortunately, lack of decorum as a restaurateur is an absolute rarity in Switzerland. I find it strange that a restaurant that opens at 10:00 a.m. doesn't offer food until much later. The kitchen would be expected to be open from 11:00 a.m.

After a wonderful hike in the area, we wanted to eat pizza at the Rank restaurant. Admittedly, we were a bit sweaty. We ordered 5 pizzas and 5 sweet drinks, plus a carafe of water. After ordering twice after dinner, a small carafe of water was slammed onto the table with the bill, with the comment "you're apparently dying of thirst." The restaurant was about 20% full, so we didn't take any seats away from higher paying customers. I think it's a shame when you're treated condescendingly in a restaurant because you don't order an aperitif, wine or salad. The staff of this restaurant seems to be too sophisticated to serve foreign tourists in a friendly manner. I have rarely felt so unwelcome in a restaurant. I would definitely not recommend the restaurant for people who are not from the regional chic and just want something quick to eat. Really not a good example of Swiss hospitality.
