02/03/2024 We sat here and were not accepted by the bar manager for questionable reasons. We didn't like this from the start, I think it's a great shop. The new service, however, is to cry... I have never been treated like this in my life! An impudence

Cozy pub with motivated and friendly staff

Yesterday I was in this pub for the first time. Was a special experience. The narrowness of the pub makes physical contact unavoidable. You have to like it. The loose purring of the serving daughters, totally my thing, but you also have to be able to deal with it. Yesterday it was karaoke. The atmosphere was bombastic from the start. Weird voices received loud support. Connie had the party completely under control. Many thanks to everyone involved for the atmospheric evening.

I walked into this Irish bar in Solothurn, I was immediately welcomed and made to feel at home, my Grandfather was Irish, and I love the old country, as much as Switzerland ❤️ but to my absolute pleasure and surprise I was able to get a pint, Kilkenny with a top up of Guinness, the Red John Black and Tan, so good I'm going for another tonight 👍🏾

Very unfriendly redhead 'service'. She doesn't listen to you and seems very annoyed at work. I would strongly advise her to change careers where she has nothing to do with people!

Friendly staff but as other reviewers have mentioned, they are suspiciously keen on hustling for cash payment which gives off a bit of a dodgy vibe incongruent with the surroundings. It would be better to run a completely legitimate business on the surface and keep whatever else is going on behind the scenes in my opinion.

Ugh...smells like rotten fish. Unfriendly, opinionated and exaggerated. Empathetic waitress with private obstacles. Absolutely not suitable for this job. Smiling is probably a foreign word. It's a shame for this little town and the beautiful location. Can go. Something new can come.

I found it a shame that there are still local places that only accept card payments from 20 Fr. ps I consumed it for 30.- but had to pay the same every time. Only marginally understand this philosophy.

Everything under 20 CHF needs to be in cash. Can’t even sum up a few orders into one to get past the threshold. And that’s 2022 we are talking.

Tolles Irish Lokal. In der Region sehr bekannt. Viele Bier und Schnaps Spezialisten. Sehr aufmerksames und freundliches Personal. LIVE Event mit Rugby, Football, Tennis, etc.

I don't usually like 'Irish' bars abroad, but Red John's is a little gem!It is welcoming and friendly, without going over the top. The location, right on the river is lovely, particularly during the summer months where it is a great place to relax and have a drink.If you're looking for a decent spot for a drink amdayne a bot of a chat in Solothurn, you could do a lot worse!p.s. they also show the likes of the Six Nations Rugby matches with English commentary which is great...

das malerische "Aaremürli" in Solothurn eignet sich besonders um die sonne zu geniessen. mit der breiten Palette an Auswahlmöglichkeit bietet das Red John aber auch bei schlechtem Wetter einen Anreiz sich zu setzen und zu plaudern. ich habe meinen Besuch genossen. Danke an das Team 👍

Ein gemütliches Bierlokal am Landhausquai, also an der Aare. Es gibt Guinness und Kilkenny vom Fass. Ein ideales Lokal um den Abend zu beginnen. Der Service ist schnell und freundlich.
