Restaurant China Town in Schaffhausen

The food was okay, but when I call the woman just yells at me and hangs up. It didn't help me with my problem and it cost me money unnecessarily. Cheeky… but the food is actually quite good. And there was even something missing at the end🥹

The burnt noodles were dry, the vegetables were limp, the noodles stuck to each other and weren't fresh!! Not recommended. Sweet and Sour Catastrophe!

Significantly decreased. Fried noodles were very bland. Stem pieces in the food instead of vegetables. Duck was cut really lousily. Was able to lift half the cattle on one corner. On the other hand, there is a lot of fat instead of the delicious meat. Garlic sauce also had more of an impact on the soul. It's become rather dreary and definitely not enough for your large portions.

After swimming I felt like Asian cuisine. I already knew the Chinese restaurant in Schaffhausen's old town, min. near Schwabentor. I was lucky. Consistently warm, delicious food, for take away or to eat there. I enjoyed a delicious meal. Everything freshly prepared. When I'm in Schaffhausen, I always go there. We recommend.

The food was like when I was a child and ate Chinese in the village with my parents, the service was good, the ambience could be better.

Where is the best place to start? We rarely eat on site because the atmosphere is not at all appealing and you never really know what the opening times are. If you order the food via Just Eat, it arrives after 1 1/2 hours of waiting. 2. it is cold and the sauces have now mixed together! The 1-2 orders at the beginning were great, but the quality is steadily declining which is very disappointing for this price range. If you want to complain about it over the phone, I get someone on the phone who either barely speaks German or someone who tells me it will take another 5-10 minutes or they just hang up on you. We enjoyed eating there but with this careless behavior we will avoid it in the future.

The boss’s service is friendly and the food portions are huge! The key point is that the ingredients are very fresh, and every piece of vegetables can taste like the original food. For those who are not used to foreigners’ meals, we highly recommend eating in Chinatown😋

Catastrophic!!!! Noodles burnt and dry, Duck only pieces of fat, Samosa filling like papier-mâché, the only thing edible were the spring rolls. So, such a shame for the money. That's why we gave it back, but had to fight hard to get our money back.

It would be nice if the opening hours were adhered to.

I just ordered the fried noodles with vegetables. My food was almost passed on to the customers who ordered after me. Relieved, I wanted to enjoy my meal and was then accused by the boss (plates were not cleared) of stealing fried noodles and asked to show my change when the terrace was full because she thought I hadn't paid!!! Because of the plates that hadn't been cleared away, she then said I had already eaten, which was unbelievable (as if I had eaten 2 plates measuring 1.58 and 50kg and then stolen fried noodles on top because there wasn't enough!! This was also done at the next table offered as a special service. Be sure to keep the receipt. Communication difficult because the boss (a short woman with glasses) only speaks German to a limited extent.

The food is always phenomenal! Large portions and great taste. The staff is very friendly, even when they are under pressure. (As you call into the forest, so it comes back). I usually order take away because the place isn't really modern. However, some would argue that it has charm. And everyone who complains about the dialect of the employees: 1000 times better than having an all-rounder Hans standing behind the counter who can't pronounce Szechuan.

Absolutely miserable food. The service barely speaks German. Unfriendly, money-hungry Chinese people. Curry sauce from a bag. Vegetables from a can. Chicken meat is not edible. It should be banned and closed!!!!!!

Price performance is good but I think those who work there are very unmotivated and the quality could increase and therefore the price too. It's definitely not bad but there is a lack of energy in there and that's obvious but I'll do it as long as it tastes the same costs to visit the store all the time

When I visited around lunchtime, I wasn't very impressed with the food. I had burnt noodles with vegetables. Unfortunately I had to look for the vegetables on my plate. The noodles were on the dry side. In terms of price, there is actually nothing wrong with it, more than enough for this price. I would have preferred that, a little less, but more flavor, which is actually a shame.

The portions here are really big. But unfortunately the quality of the dishes has decreased significantly in terms of taste. However, the prices have increased... tofu szeuchuan used to be good here in China Town. It can happen that something goes wrong... but after the third attempt to try tofu Szechuan again, I give up. The tofu was always soggy, the vegetables had hardly any taste, and the sauce was mainly fatty and salty. Pity.

One star is too much we ordered fried noodle with vegetable and it came without vegetable dont order from this restaurant its a waste of money.

We ordered from you 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately, the supplier couldn't find our address, despite giving us the location and contacting us by telephone during the journey. In addition, we even went to meet the delivery person on foot. After about 30 minutes it said the delivery would be canceled. As a courtesy, we were promised a voucher and a refund for the order that had already been made. We received the money, but unfortunately we haven't seen a voucher yet

Ordered takeaway food. Friendly staff and short waiting times. The food was very bland, the few vegetables were ridiculous. Well it wouldn't be bad if we both didn't have very bad stomach pains. I often ate sweet and sour with fried chicken, but it had much more flavor everywhere. A pity. Prices are also quite high for what you get.

Atmospheric like a train station waiting room. However, top food but not consistent quality. Had everything from good to mediocre. Ideal for quick hunger pangs. Very friendly, nice staff, delicious food.

Yesterday evening at 9:40 p.m. I stood in front of the closed doors, even though the opening times are stated daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. When I made the staff aware of the time by making movements. They made me understand with hand signals that it was closed. I would rather go to Germany in the future, but something like that is not possible if you write until 10 p.m. then this should also be adhered to. Customers go shopping at Migros shortly before it closes. The time must be adhered to

Unfortunately the food I ordered was cold, had unusual ingredients in it (peppers and peppers) and my drink wasn't delivered even though I paid for it.

I have always been very satisfied and eat here at least once a week. Last night I was very disappointed because a new employee at the checkout was very unfriendly. She didn't pay any attention to me even though I was ordering. Very misogynistic!

My favorite takeout place. Prices are comparable with other larger fast food chains, but the food is subjectively better and one order easily serves two people. While I'm not sure sometimes if my order was understood correctly when ordering by phone they have yet to get it wrong. Ordering 15 minutes ahead means you can pick up immediately.

It's a shame... very fine food but no organization, too long of a wait, something is always missing (the last time the spring rolls were missing even though we paid for them and asked twice if "everything was there") It's practically impossible to get anything by phone to order food - no matter how much they understand me, I understand them... The last time was really frustrating - forgetting sauce, or packing rice instead of pasta - somehow that's still possible! But forgetting a whole portion of spring rolls - that's too much for me, to be honest

Good food, huge portions, the best sweet and sour chicken I've ever eaten... Unfortunately, there was a very long wait and totally uncoordinated... When the first one had already finished, the food came for the rest of our group... .Ambience rather simple.

The food I ordered only arrived when my girlfriend had already finished her meal (mine was forgotten) And when it arrived, it was the wrong sauce. Then within 1 minute they brought me the correct order, but first without the sauce After 5 minutes, when the food was already cold, the sauce was added.

Cheap Chinese food ideal for a quick lunch. If you want a cozy dinner in a nice atmosphere, you are certainly better off elsewhere. The food is delicious and the portions are large to huge.

Edit 2020: A lot has changed since my last review here and for the better! Really tasty, fresh and somehow authentic Chinese food! Recommendation: Szechuan with fried noodles, or crispy duck with garlic sauce!

Nasi Goreng is very good as is the duck, which is grilled until crispy. The food is also served quickly or you can take it away.

Went there today and enjoyed our meal very much. We enjoyed Dim Sum as starters and then crispy duck, fried noodles and sizhuen chicken. All dishes were cooked very well and the prices were correct.

Always very friendly and accommodating

You get decent portions, freshly prepared with good quality ingredients. When it comes to taste, I have to make some compromises compared to Chinese restaurants in Zurich. Here it is often a bit bland and flatly seasoned, which I find a shame, otherwise I would be a customer more often. Unfortunately, the prices here are also slightly higher than in Zurich.

Not all staff (male) are friendly. Yesterday I was in the restaurant, no service. They sat outside discussing. Just went again.

They are very friendly, food is ready to take away quickly and tastes just great! Value for money could be even better, in my opinion it's a little too expensive for what you get...

Price performance fits quite well here. Food is served quickly and tastes quite good. Tables are not completely clean and wiping the table with a damp cloth doesn't make it any better :) The rush at midday is very high, so you should allow a little time at 12 p.m.

I was there the day before yesterday and had crispy duck with rice and it seemed to me as if the duck had been spoiled, just disgusting As if it wasn't bad enough I had to pay 23.50 instead of 17.90 and when I asked why 23.50 it looked so strange Never again !

You can't expect it to always stay the same and the rest to be more expensive (purchasing from the food) or the rent!! I'm very happy, if it's too expensive for you, leave it alone

My noodle dish tasted like top ramen with cooked chicken in it. It was very salty and not interesting. The sweet and sour chicken was better but still Meh. The price was good though for Schaffhausen. However, we won’t be returning.

The taste was ok, the portions were very large, but now my colleague and I are sitting there with food poisoning. (We haven't been able to eat anything since then). Never again!

I forgot to take the money back so I went back into the store 10 minutes later. I wanted to explain my situation in a very decent manner and was rejected by the employee and the supervisor with stupid comments. Even with the demand for a cash collapse. Well, it's your own fault and thank you for your accusations and yet rather less cooperation.

An institution in Schaffhausen! I've been eating here for years, the food and the prices have always been great. I've eaten in many Chinese restaurants in Paris and London, nothing beats our Schaffhausen China Town ;)
