Great airfield with interesting flight movements. Always exciting to watch. My call to make a reservation was answered very friendly. The reception in the restaurant was also extremely friendly. The food came quickly and was prepared with love and very tasty. Requests for changes were no problem at all for an additional charge. Despite it being busy, the staff was extremely friendly. The Birrfeld restaurant is always worth a visit.

Wonderful, fresh and seasonally coordinated food of top quality! The kitchen can do something! There are still trained staff at work! Bravo! Price-performance ratio absolutely fine. Always courteous, attentive and very friendly service that is not too lazy for anything. And today Nadja served us very warmly. This is exactly what real gastronomy and friendship looks like! Service and location great, especially for children. The food was disappointing during our visit, the burgers desperately need an overhaul. Adding hard, tasteless melon to salad in March is also incomprehensible.

We had the entercote, which was fried great, exactly how I wanted it. I'll have the wine soup again, because it's delicious and enough to satisfy my hunger. Had dinner for two with soup, main course and dessert, made 150 Fr with tip.

Always ask for the bill, which is remarkable when you are served twice by the same older lady and things keep turning up that were never ordered. 90% - Very good employees 10% - just can't do it Constantly changing staff… The cockpit is sinking! If you want good employees to stay, as a manager you have to think about how you treat them. Merci beaucoup for the delicious food & long waiting time.

Reheated hash browns - a disappointment! Until a few years ago, Cockpit was one of my favorite restaurants. I especially loved the Leberli with Rösti. It has now happened twice in a row that I have been served warmed up, limp and dry Rösti (possibly still in the microwave🤮). The second time I complained and the answer was: "We have so much food at lunchtime that we can't prepare the rösti fresh." So honestly? NOT WORKING AT ALL! Then you shouldn't offer rösti at all or at least mention it on the menu. It's a shame, because otherwise the cockpit is a nice place with very nice service. But I can also have the latter elsewhere - with fresh Rösti. Because I would be here for the last time.

Food is good Its fun to be beside the airport and see the planes takeoff and land, the servers are really nice. There is a big park for kids outside.

The food was great! The service was very poor First we waited about 15 minutes until one of the ladies found time to serve us after her soup. We don't charge guests who are eating! The cockpit we know was once upon a time. A pity. If you would rather be served by a friendly service employee, you would not be able to choose. But as a guest I have to feel uncomfortable and badly treated. It's a shame that you always have to look at who works where in order to make a decision.

We've been coming to this restaurant for a long time because the playground is really great and now even more so with the update. We decided to eat there in the evening. The staff wasn't exactly friendly before, but we wanted to see if that had changed. What can I say, unfortunately NO.... Children are not welcome in this restaurant, the female service employees are almost constantly annoyed by the children, my daughter was rudely pushed aside by an employee because she was standing in front of the ice cream sign. Because she apparently had the feeling that she didn't have enough space to walk through, but at least kept a good 2 meters behind her. A little food for thought for operators: A restaurant with such a great playground next door should definitely have staff who are child-friendly, otherwise tear down the playground so you won't be bothered with families anymore!!!

There is absolutely nothing wrong here. The service was top. Various catering rules were adhered to, which I noticed immediately because unfortunately it is no longer practiced in many places. The food was very good. The schnitzel was well done and not dry, the fries were perfectly crispy. The portions are very generous and half a portion would have been enough for me after the salad. So I skipped dessert instead. We also really liked the ambience with the colorful decoration. We'd love to come back.

Simply brilliant, we, a group of dogs, have been there for a while. at the rest of the airport, as always, we are overwhelmed by the great kindness towards us and our four-legged friends. Yes, you don't have to freeze in the car. We've been there many times, even without dogs, the food was wonderful, good service, very friendly. Service staff! Yes, word gets around among the many dog ​​owners who walk in this area! Some of the rest could learn a thing or two! We'd love to come back soon! On Monday November 27th, 2023 we were once again in the Cockpit restaurant at Birrfeld airfield. First we had to wait at least 15 minutes until we could order the drinks. The guests who came after us were served first!! Then we asked for the menu. This came after a while .Then the service signed off because they were now going to have a smoke first!!! But after that no one cared that we wanted to order. After waiting 40 minutes, we got up and paid for our drinks at the exit!! After the question, who now In the cockpit the boss was only answered arrogantly, the boss will only be back in 3 days!!! A restaurant cannot function like that (we are also catering entrepreneurs), no interest from the staff and no boss on site. The restaurant has no management !!In the future, if the impression was good, we actually wanted to organize a meeting with 35-45 Cub members every month with food and drink. The cockpit is geographically very centrally located. But after this experience, that was no longer an option for us. The cockpit definitely has one Leadership problem!!!!It has never been like this.Because we have known the cockpit for 40 years.

We always enjoy coming here. The employees are all very nice and professional. The ice cream was super delicious, I can highly recommend this place. The casual pond with the chattering ducks is also cool 😄.

The food took over an hour to arrive. We ordered 1x spaghetti Bolognese (these were totally overcooked and not edible) 2x fitness plates with perch fillets (these fillets were cold) 1x double-decker burger, 2x daily menu (the meat was still very raw and tough). The service was a sleeping pill. This visit wasn't really enjoyable. That was the last time we visited this restaurant.

Good food and entertaining surroundings, always a pleasure for lunch or dinner! Mega good and varied dishes. Be careful with the salad: If you don't like too much salad sauce, it's better to order the sauce in a separate container, there's a lot of sauce :D

The Cockpit Birrfeld restaurant has become a weekly must for me. I've been visiting this place regularly 1-2 times a week for months and am thrilled every time. The staff now recognizes me and always greets me warmly. The ambience with the great view of the runway from the airport provides the perfect environment to relax before, during and after a long day. The quality and creativity of the dishes remain consistently high, which is not a given in the catering industry. I particularly appreciate the little details that set this restaurant apart from others. If you are looking for a reliable place with good cuisine, this is the right place for you. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

Very friendly staff. Coupes are very good and big. Parking space for disabled people available directly at the entrance. Unfortunately there is no passage from the main entrance to the terrace. The disabled parking space isn't of much use.

The Caesar salad with chicken wasn't really good. The meat was okay, unfortunately the salad was "lampy" and otherwise not worth mentioning. The two waiters were friendly and really busy. What made us a bit suspicious... the waitress gave us a false receipt when we collected the money (more expensive). Therefore, always check the receipt carefully. We assume it was not intentional.

A nice place to enjoy a coffee or have a meal. You won't get bored with a view of the airport runway. Also worth mentioning is the playground for the little ones, which is right next to it. The staff is very friendly and quick, the restaurant is clean and friendly.

Demolition. I ordered a syrup for my little one today. Glass 1.5 dl practically just water, very very little syrup. When the drink came I thought I wouldn't complain about the "water" (at other restaurants the syrup is free). The bill asked for CHF 1.80. Impudence!!

We went for dinner on May 28th, 2023. The garden restaurant was very well attended. The food was very good. The service was very friendly and attentive. Four different menus were ordered for 8 people. The food came at the same time for everyone. We really liked that. I can highly recommend the restaurant. We go there again to eat.

We ordered a drink and our children took an ice cream from the freezer, just because I took 2 napkins that were supposed to be yellow ones (only for eating) I was told something like shit by the waitress. Sorry but no other problems.

Miserable service, after 15 minutes of waiting we received drinks and a dessert menu for the first time. After another 40 minutes of trying to pay, we were forced to get up and get a waitress as we were skillfully ignored by a middle-aged blonde female employee. If I could give less than 1 star I would choose this option. Never had such poor service, very disappointing.
