Something that has become rare: a restaurant offering a menu on Sunday. We tested it and are satisfied in almost all respects. This menu at CHF 44.- is offered in three variations for three courses, not including a welcome appetizer. The staff is attentive. The tables are not too crowded and the acoustics allow for conversation. The dishes are excellent. A small downside is the serving temperature for hot dishes: it could be a little higher. The salmon trout (advertised as salmon on the website) had the skin too salty for our taste. The “three cheese” plate was not sufficiently rich. It had probably been prepared in advance and stored in the fridge. Damage! For variety, we also suggest presenting soft cheeses made with non-thermized raw milk from Spillhofer (Saint-Imier) or semi-hard cheeses also made with raw milk from Markus Reichmuth (Montbautier). Despite these few remarks, it is a good address to recommend. We will come back.
