Very bad service, we weren't served at all and therefore didn't get to eat! We were inside, we probably weren't served because we're a little younger than the average customer!

Always very friendly service and the tarte flambée and burger are the best in town!

Simply disappointing, drinks were received separately and half an hour apart, the main course came during the starter and was then served warmed up, the same was ignored for coffee and dessert for half an hour, next tables were served and collected - we were totally ignored. Not worth recommending - it looks great on the outside - but unfortunately it's poor on the inside.

Staff didn't see us....waited 10 minutes then walked away....

The restaurant was too loud for dinner for two. The food was poor relative to the price: "large" portion of tartar😅🫣😅🫣 (too small) potato salad tasted like vinegar. The only good thing was the schnitzel. We ordered 2 drinks to toast: one of them came 40 minutes later 👍🫣😅 When eating exactly the same: the tartar came without butter and bread (they bring the butter after 10 minutes, frozen) Fredi's restaurant disappointed me personally. I expected class. Then I'd rather go to Zurich, the atmosphere is right and they're friendlier, good quality and competent! Sorry

It's a great restaurant and also very convenient if you go to the theater afterwards. Practical online reservation process. We've been there several times and we've always really enjoyed it. Very good and friendly employees, delicious food and a pleasant atmosphere. We can highly recommend it!

Beautiful ambience with friendly service. The children's portions (chicken nuggets) were huge! Our food was also served quickly and was very tasty. All six of us were very satisfied and enjoyed dinner very much. Thank you very much and would be happy to come back at any time!

Very loud (poor acoustics), close seating and very bad air. The quinoa bowl was swimming in a very sweet berry sauce and was more soup than bowl. Although people asked whether something was wrong because the plate was 3/4 full, there was no further response. Unfortunately, it wasn't the first time that the quality of the food left something to be desired. But now it's definitely the last time for me.

What impressed us was the very fast and friendly service. Basically the ambience is nice, but too loud and the seating is a bit cramped. In other words, a lot of people, it's almost impossible to have a meaningful conversation. Our salads were fine, but just 3 beef momos are rather poor. Despite everything, it was a successful and lovely evening including the theater and many thanks again to the great service staff who served us.

Very great atmosphere. The food was very tasty. The starter was a nut salad and the main course was a burger with truffle fries. It tasted wonderful and the staff was also very nice. Went all the way from Zurich to Winti to test the restaurant and we weren't disappointed. We will be back.

You can always eat and drink very well at Fredi. The service at the bar and when eating is always competent and very friendly. If you have a special request you can register it in advance and it will be fulfilled. If the drinks are too expensive for you and if you still don't like it even after the special request has been fulfilled (drinks taken back), you should look elsewhere. Unfortunately, there are always guests who treat the staff incorrectly and are very unfriendly and can never be satisfied. The bar staff do a top job. Publishing a photo without the prior consent of the person in question is prohibited for data protection reasons.

Bizarre experience. I was served a 50cl beer which clearly contained way less than 50cl. I politely asked if it could please be filled to the 0.5L line on the glass. Rather than do this the barman grabbed my glass, filled it right to the top and angrily asked me "There, are you satisfied NOW ?". He than started to rant that I had not given him the order correctly (huh?) and about what a professional he was and had trained how to do this properly, and I had no right to expect 50cl (which is what is written on the bar menu!!). As I tried to explain this he turned his back to me and started talking to another member of staff ! I was completely shocked by this offensive behaviour. Such a ridiculous diva should not be facing the customers. Cannot believe the business employs someone like this.

We had made a reservation for dinner and the restaurant was fully booked. Due to a personal emergency, we had to leave the aperitif drink we had ordered and leave the restaurant before dinner - the service staff were empathetic and the drink was on the house! Thank you for your understanding reaction. I was also completely satisfied with my last visit.

Last night my wife and I were at Fredi's. We had tickets for 8pm at the Casino Theater and we thought it would be a good idea to dine under the same roof. The restaurant was fully booked and we were given a table in the corner, without chairs, because here you sit on the bench across the corner. Taller people always have the problem in this seating configuration: where to put their legs without someone accompanying them. What made things worse was that the table base took up the part of the space that I would have needed for my knees. The small table, measuring around 90 x 90 cm, was almost completely occupied with 6 glasses, the cutlery on crumpled napkins (it's eco-friendly!), a salt and pepper mill and the advertising stand. So there was absolutely no space for the menu, you just had to hold it in your hands and put it on the bench after use. We had a glass of Pinot Blanc as an aperitif and then had a nut salad with egg and excellent dressing as a starter and my wife had the mini momos with a kind of dip and a sesame Asian salad. To accompany the main course, we were recommended a glass of Pinot Noir, which turned out to be Pinot Cabernet (Herter 'Adelheid'). My stroganoff came with very tasty spaetzli, but the fillet was fried dark to almost black in some places. The Wienerschnitzel for my wife was exemplary, but the fries on the side were unimaginably uncrispy, in the truest sense of the word 'cheesy'. We find it unimaginable that something like this could go through an inspection in a well-structured kitchen and reach the guest. While my wife was waiting for the fresh fries, her Wienerschnitzel got cold because no one was taking care to keep it warm. We probably had our worst culinary experience here, in any case a gastronomic low, and experienced the unspeakable attempt to satisfy ourselves with two espressos offered after everything that had happened.

Absolute recommendation! Great, friendly and helpful service. Food tastes excellent. Pleasant atmosphere. Prices (for Swiss standards) normal. Gladly again! Parking spaces are available in several parking garages within a short walk.

As requested online, a table for two in the corner. The only criticism: There are no noise absorbers in the room. Even in the cozy corner it was loud. But we were able to have a good chat around the corner. Food and service impeccable, good and friendly.

Good food, nice restaurant with a casual atmosphere and in winter you can enjoy a fine mulled gin or Lumumba before the performance at the very tastefully designed mulled wine stand "Fredis Winterzauber"... top! :)

Very successful ambience, great concept with style and character. Stories are actually made here 😉. We had a fantastic evening, nothing was missing. Quality of the food is very good, high degree of freshness and ‘seasoned to taste’. The price is right at the limit. But: what I experienced as a service today was great (once again for a very long time). Dear Cecile, thank you very much for your charming, uncomplicated, very attentive and warm support. You weren't the dot on the 'i' but the exclamation point. Our industry needs people like you (and probably everyone else at Fredis too). We'll be back, guaranteed. The cow burger didn't really blow me away. The burger alone is far too expensive and if you want to pay fries on top of that, you'll have to pay at least another 8.-. For bacon, 2.5 CHF. We also had to wait a long time and there was only Vivi-Kola.

Very good restaurant with an excellent, generous burger and fries, as I know and love them from England. For us sweet tooths there is a large cake stand with lots of small desserts, wonderful! Nice outdoor area.

Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately my Wienerschnitzel wasn't that good. Black residue from frying oil and bland taste. It was very loud and we couldn't have a conversation.

Unfortunately there aren't 6 stars for the service.....🌟🌟🌟 so here are a few more :-) We were escorted straight to our table and then served very well. The lady always came at the right time and was very attentive! I haven't experienced such great service in a long time!💪 I also thought the atmosphere was great. The flower vases in the window look beautiful. And we really enjoyed our food (the beef tartare wasn't perfect, but the rest was :-)). We'll definitely be back.

Dear Fredi, On Wednesday, August 16, 2023, we four old men were once again in your garden restaurant. It was 4 p.m., hot and we enjoyed the shade of the plane trees and the parasols. We drank two beers each. We were a bit surprised when we found out that a carton of beer costs CHF 5.60. Next door in the REH brasserie, a pint of beer costs CHF 4.60. We old men used to go to your garden restaurant more often. We only drank about two pints of beer each. Things became difficult for us when we realized that at 5 p.m. all the tables were already set for dinner. This prompted us to meet our regulars on Mondays at 5 p.m. in the Brasserie REH. By the way, when we walked past your place today at 6:15 p.m., the garden restaurant was about 20% full. This is information, but not a complaint. Maybe we'll hear something from you. Kind regards from the four older gentlemen.

I understand that restaurants are struggling with rising costs and want to continue to make up for the losses of the lockdowns. However, the general population also needs to tighten their belts. If I have to pay almost 50 francs for a Wienerschnitzel and 9 francs for 1dl of wine and then don't even feel full, the pain threshold has definitely been exceeded. Even if the service is ok and the atmosphere is nice, I wouldn't eat there again. Conclusion: Overpriced, like almost all restaurants in Zurich and the surrounding area.

I had roasted cauliflower, taste okay. The price of 32 francs was overpriced for the very small portion. The half-baked chocolate cake tasted good. Service was good, friendly waiter.

I ordered and ate their Kuhburger, which was recommended to me. But this restaurant uses a home-made sauce which was spicy and that was all I could taste of this hamburger 🍔 . A disappointment 😞

+ Very friendly service - Completely exorbitant prices. 27 Fr. for a bowl of momos suggests that you will be full, especially when compared to the prices of other dishes, even if listed under "small dishes". Reality: some cucumber, spinach, edamame, chickpeas and 3 mini momos (extra charge for momos: 6 Fr.), drowned in 1.5 cm high level of salad dressing.

Food and service are good. The service can do a few things even better: deliver the bread with the salad and bring the drinks (including the tap water) to the table a little faster. Nice wine list (also open). We reserved a table and got the narrowest and worst placed table outside, which is a shame. After consulting with the boss, we got a better table. It would be nice if this worked right from the start.

Tastefully decorated restaurant, delicious food and attentive service. The two of us were here on a Wednesday evening and had Wiener Schnitzel and a delicious dessert. Both were extremely tasty. Drinks were carefully refilled for us - I usually only know this from star restaurants. We both found the facility very attractive and successful. All in all, it was an absolutely complete and successful evening in a restaurant that I can fully recommend. I'll definitely be back. Update: here for the 2nd time and another wonderful evening.

Service: friendly, good, accommodating, present and quick Restaurant: A space designed in the mainstream of the time. Modern, close seating and very loud. A cultivated conversation is impossible. Food: The meat and fish dishes probably consist of hand-cured pike perch and veal; there is no other explanation for the high prices. Vegetables must grow in golden soil. A wild garlic soup for a whopping 16 Stutz or the "salad" of the momos (a bit of greens placed on top), the homeopathic blob of potato salad with the 48 franc schnitzel cannot be explained in any other way. Not even organic and regional. In terms of taste, the dishes were adapted to the restaurant, mainstream. Nothing special, not bad. I'll never find out what an "open lasagna" is supposed to be, Fredi will remain a unique experience. It's a shame, because I still knew the old Casino restaurant with the bright, friendly room where it was great to eat and have fun. Recommended for a drink at the bar or a coffee in the pretty garden. To go out to eat in good company, there are more pleasant restaurants in Winterthur

Have a quick bite to eat before the theater performance without expecting anything big. We were accompanied through drinking and eating in a very friendly and super competent manner. A joy and enjoyment the food and the service. Wonderful, gladly again without any drama afterwards.

The location is very well located but unfortunately you also pay. Unfortunately, my first choice was out of stock, but this was only revealed to me when I ordered. Then I decided on the risotto. The food was OK but I think you could have made it yourself.

Nice restaurant with a pleasant atmosphere. Attentive, friendly and prompt service. Food was great. The only negative point is the measly dessert portion (chocolate mousse for 15.-).

I go to Restaurant Fredi more often. So far only for coffee or an aperitif. The service is very friendly and attentive. Will have lunch soon and then give a more comprehensive review. But it's already worth recommending. Update: The three of us had lunch. Original menu, aperitif and wine from the region. The food tasted very good. We were completely satisfied. I can confirm the rating. Keep it up.

I had ordered: Burger for 25.- Fries for 7.- House ice tea for 5.5.- The burger was below average, the fries were average. The ice tea was watery - also below average. The service was fine and friendly. Unfortunately I cannot recommend it.

The food was tasty and prepared quickly. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the glasses didn't stay empty for long. The tofu cubes were missing from the bowl, but we guests didn't realize this until later. The staff apologized and offered a free dessert, which made us very happy. The interior is very appealing to us. I would definitely recommend the restaurant!

Vegan there is only a vegetable plate and a salad (:-o) Creativity = zero, the portion feeds a maximum of one blackbird and that costs 30 francs. Never again... The waitress couldn't help me when I asked - there was only what was on the menu. 🤷‍♂️
