Nice service, good food. The ambience is also good and everything is very clean etc., but I personally like a slightly different style, but everyone is different.

During our trip through Switzerland, we discovered this restaurant on Google, located a short distance from the highway. The place is well looked after, offering an efficient service. The diverse menu offers meat, fish and vegetarian options. Our choice of a meat dish was appreciated for its goodness and completeness, enriched by a balanced combination of vegetables, carbohydrates and proteins.

Very tasty food (vegi) and always beautifully prepared! Only the portions could be a little larger for the price. Service very friendly.

Great service. Amazing ambience. A place we always return to. But now, with the construction next door and the new entrance next to the building site. Tunnel vision will be needed. Photos are breaded chicken breast with fries and choc brownie overload with choc and vanilla ice cream. This was the standard size, there is a larger one.

A restaurant in a very nice location and with a beautiful garden terrace. Small but fine menu including gluten-free dishes. The friendliness of the service and the quality of the food are good. The pricing policy is a bit annoying. I wanted a potato salad, which is listed as a side dish with another main course on the menu, as a side dish to my main course instead of fries and vegetables. For this customer request, a surcharge of CHF 3 will be charged on top of the already rather high prices. I think customer friendliness can be done differently. I find it unpleasant when a company wants to make additional profit from every wish, no matter how small. The dish came with potato salad and vegetables instead of just potato salad. If only they had been as attentive in carrying out the customer's wishes as they were in charging surcharges. It's a shame, despite the great location and the delicious food, there was still a bad aftertaste.

We celebrated the registry office wedding of our daughter and our favorite son-in-law here as a small group. The food was sensational...the service was very, very good and very attentive...the table was decorated very lovingly - better than expected...everything from A to Z was simply great...Thanks to everyone who made this day so special ....😀

Very nice restaurant, courteous staff, well informed about allergies. I had a super delicious gluten-free cordon bleu and was also given gluten-free bread as a starter. I'll definitely come back to try the tartare. Highly recommended!

Very fine food. Visually and colorfully presented in a very interesting way. Attentive, friendly service. Very easy to reach from the motorway. Tip: At the end, make sure you take the right turn-off because of the construction site.

A very nice ambience awaits you in this restaurant. Unfortunately, we felt pushed forward to eat by the nervous manner of the waitress. There was more of a feeling of being unwanted. My companion and I had a fitness plate, each with a different side dish. The salad was brown, the salad dressing was much too thick and the salt content was rather borderline. For the price of 36.- not acceptable for this menu.

Top restaurant, again and again

Great location with a great view. Thanks to the large windows, you can also see half the city of Winterthur from inside. The service is very friendly, attentive and accommodating. With my choice: - Riesling foam soup - Smoked salmon carpaccio - filled tortelli with baked vegetables I was very happy - it tasted excellent. The portions were very generous. However, the little surprise dessert didn't meet my expectations because it was too chocolaty and too heavy. I would have liked something small, airy and fruity. I'm surprised to see that this dessert isn't on the bill and find out that the boss took it off the bill because I didn't like it. I've never experienced that before and thank you very much for that. You can hardly do more to ensure customer satisfaction.

We ate at Sporrer for the first time. The food was very fine and tasty. A big plus point is that gluten-free dishes are also offered. There is a star deduction for the price, which I think is quite high.

Very cozy atmosphere despite the construction site in front of the door. The staff are very friendly, accommodating and child-friendly. When you're stressed, things can sometimes be forgotten, that's completely normal, but they were very attentive and looked out for the well-being of the guests. The food was amazing, I hadn't had such good beef tartare for a long time! Price-performance is top. I can only recommend this restaurant from the bottom of my heart :-)

Nice calm restaurant on the outskirts of Winterthur. I liked their Fish and Chips, which was nicely presented and came with a good sauce. Overall, all of us liked the food and choice of wine. The atmosphere is calm, quiet, and with a nice view. The place is friendly with good staff and a kind of rural charme.

This Sunday we held the confirmation dinner in the Sporrer. The service and the food were great, but the behavior of the boss was less great. He managed to sit at the table for about 3 hours and chat with colleagues. No greeting, no farewell, just nothing. That's why we'll think about whether we should even go there again.

Actually, you don't need to say anything more about Sporrer - an institution in Winterthur! Unfortunately, getting there by public transport is somewhat difficult. Instead you sit in a beautiful garden. The food was, as always, a dream. Only the vitello tonnato could have had a little more sauce. The prices are extremely moderate. We'd love to come back.

The service was very attentive and friendly. For the children there were blankets and colored pencils and a super cool ice cream with Smarties and gummy bears. What is also very pleasant when you go out to eat with children is the spacious playground. There the little ones can work out and the adults can relax at the table :) My vegetarian meal was really tasty, wonderful burrata rounded everything off.

We are very disappointed that we were not served outside at 9:20 this evening. After a long wait we left again. Such a shame.

We went to Sporrer with our family for a birthday dinner because it really appealed to us to this day. Since the host changed, it's no longer worth visiting. The host just sits at the table with his colleague and discusses things instead of greeting guests or asking if everything is okay, as a host should. But only I noticed that, but also someone who wrote it here. Menu is slowly moving towards Indian or something, which is a shame. The children were asked to sit down and not to walk around the restaurant. The whole atmosphere from before is slowly disappearing... it's no longer worth a visit for us and we won't recommend it anymore.
