Staff was a bit stressed. Otherwise good ambience in industrial style!

I still have a lot of memories of my youth here...still as cool today as it was back then 😉

Last Sunday I was in the HB again and I was served by Ferdy. He is friendly but the guests had to point out to him that a table that was not occupied had to be cleared. Just walking around with your tablet to look busy isn't enough. The fact that Ferdy doesn't get a plan of who, where and what also comes into play. I got a good tip to always pay straight away. The one star for service only refers to the person in question, everyone else, especially John and Janette, are extremely careful, hard-working and absolutely trustworthy.

One of the most beautiful memories of our lives: here we learned that we would have a little girl... and we told the other children that there would be 5 of us! The place was a fantastic setting!!!

I love this restaurant. Their devil sauce is out of this world. I am always ordering Poulet salat DeLuxe. Always, when i am going through Switzerland (only once a year :(( ), i make a stop in Habsburg. I would really like to have a recipe for that devil sauce so i can prepare it at home as well.

An older house with mega modern, stylish furnishings and even a burning fireplace. Service was very quick and courteous and very experienced with quick service. And the hut was well attended

For younger people THE meeting place in the Lower Rhine Valley (there aren't many anymore), unfortunately a bit expensive (food and drink), a sandwich for around 20 Chf is expensive, coffee for 5 Chf isn't cheap either, a Baileys for 10 Chf? ?? Then I finished (for 20 Chf I get a whole bottle in the shop and not just 4cl), we had to sit under the speakers and that was very annoying given the volume, you could only have a loud conversation

I was eating dinner, but this seemed more of lunch fare. While it warned of being very spicy I didn’t find the Fiery Soul sandwich to be that spicy at least for someone accustomed to Thai, Indian, or Mexican food. I had been a bit concerned that it might be heavy with horseradish, but it wasn’t and had a mild spice mainly driven by onions I believe. The bread stood out to me with a great crispness in the crust without spoiling the moist middle or falling to dust when bitten into. They list it with ham or salami, but they willing to put both on for me. Additionally it had nice cheese, lettuce, onions and pineapple in place of pickles. I really enjoyed it more than I thought I might. The potato wedges weren’t what I expecting either. I was thinking sort of a deep fried hash brown as often appears on “continental” breakfasts. But these skin on deep fried potatoes were beautifully crispy while retaining a great potato flavor. The house sauce (Habsburgsause) was described to me as like cocktail sauce, but sweeter. I would rather describe it as an almost sweet curry. It had a light spice to my pallet, but deep flavor. The space seemed a bit dark to me, but seemed that in daylight it would be bright and beautiful. The servers were not American style chatty friendly, but the. I have no German speech at all and they were timely and efficient in all the service and provided me with an English menu which not all area restaurants are willing to do. A little expensive for my tastes for a relatively simple sandwich and side, but that’s the area and it was very good in its simplicity.

Good restaurant with interesting prices and good house specialties ("Souls"). Service is a bit heterogeneous: you can get everything from gruff to extremely friendly. Customer orientation is sometimes missing: A waiter tipped over a drink at our table, which then spilled all over his pants. One of the dishes ordered on the house? Nope. An apology drink? Nope. Or at least a dessert to make up for it? Nope. ... well customer management doesn't necessarily work that way. ;) Well, at least it was otherwise cozy and delicious!

Great food. The souls are divine.

Recommended at any time of day or night. Whether it's a cozy coffee in the morning, an aperitif before lunch, a "soul", hamburger or salad punch for lunch, a beer after work or as a meeting point in the "exit". All ages meet here.

Great location, good service and fine food, a meeting place for young and old, it has something for everyone. Atmosphere in the evening is very atmospheric and cozy by candlelight.

Overpriced cult shop,... for a small bowl of souce CHF 2.50.- with the menu, after 8 p.m. the beer costs more,... but respect that they managed to publish it openly and everyone joins in👌

Here you can enjoy good souls and salads (large portions) in a nice atmosphere. We were very satisfied with the service.

Unfortunately, local is getting worse and worse. Service staff left a lot to be desired. Very inattentive, preferring to stand around and chat. First we had to beg to be allowed to order something. After the meal we would have liked to have dessert and drink a coffee… again no chance to order. Then asked 3 times to pay…. Good staff is in short supply. Our condolences to the owner! Food was good 👍

Saturday evening at 1:00 only bottles of drinks and the kitchen is already closed. Never again.

Unfortunately, the souls no longer seem so crispy to me... but maybe I had a bad day - or changed the baker :)

Was recently there for Christmas dinner with a company - what can I say? Apart from two very good salads, I only received a single mini-seal (approx. 5 cm) to eat. Buffet wasn't refilled. But dessert was very successful. Still, I'm home hungry.

The atmosphere is good, even when the place is full. Unfortunately, there are often too few staff, so orders take forever and sometimes what you get isn't right. It's a shame because the food and drinks are great, even if everything is a bit expensive.

Everything was great, great service from the young man. Accidentally spilled a glass. A service daughter saw it but didn't react to it, preferring to smoke her cigarette. More praise for the great waiter!! Thank you ! 😇

Trendy restaurant nearby, known for the souls that offer refreshment after a walk on the banks of the Rhine. Very cozy and nice atmosphere both outside and inside. Recommendations of homemade iced tea.

Nice place, very comfortable and with different areas. The food was very good and the dessert was incredible. I ordered a salad with chicken and vanilla ice cream with caramel for dessert, it was finger-licking good. A little expensive, but it was definitely worth the money. The attention of the very friendly staff.

The best restaurant in the St. Gallen Rhine Valley. Everyone who goes there should try a soul. I recommend the Mexican, western or hunter's soul. The prices are not cheap, but the taste and the ambience make the price performance fair. Recommended for friendly meetings but also dates. In the summer it's also nice to just enjoy a drink outside. There are enough parking spaces, but anyone who can travel by bike or rollerblade should do so.

Fair price/performance ratio. Nice ambience. Very courteous and attentive service. (Children's chair, toys were brought). The food was super fine, tasty prepared. Simply great!

One of my favorite restaurants for years

The 3⭐️for the sandwich I got called Vegan Seelen. Looks good and it’s was 1ft long BUT no sauce!!! So, it was dry like hell… with the vegetables inside: lots of pepperoni, some onions, 4 small pieces of artichoke, that’s it! 😅 My friend ordered chicken bowl and she was happy: lots of sauce with additional one by the side! The ambiance was cosy and sitting area is huge! They have a cigar room. Ample parking space. Not sure if I order the wrong sandwich but I always had vegan sauces in my sandwich!

Top address: Somewhat steep prices - BUT always super friendly staff, very attentive (no matter if there is a dog or a child, water is provided immediately and the children are taken care of) we have never had a bad experience and we are there often...! Food is super tasty and always consistent quality…. Great ambience. I'm happy to accept the price considering the service and great food...

well... it's more like a milk hall, like a restaurant... I miss a bit of coziness there. The tiles make it seem cold...just like a milk hall.

We come here often because it has a cool atmosphere and good drinks and food. You should just be careful with the bill, especially which waiter/waitress you order from, because unfortunately we were ripped off for the fifth time. More drinks were simply added that were not consumed at all, or if you ordered before eight in the evening you still had to pay the night surcharge. This is really very tedious and it's a shame that you always have to recalculate whether the calculation is correct.

Best bar - restaurant near the border with Vorarlberg. Prices are absolutely ok The food is just really good. Mexican soul with feta or burgers are our favorites. The homemade iced tea is also excellent. The food is at the table quickly Always happy here

Food (especially the souls), salads and drinks are very good. I'm also happy to pay the slightly higher price for it. I recently tried a Coup Denmark... Wasn't impressed with it, even though it's not a gelateria... - The (hot) sauce belongs in a small glass next to it. - Chocolate ball?! Isn't it really all about vanilla ice cream? - a huge (soup?) plate... That can certainly be done better. Otherwise, keep it up 😊

Nice restaurant. I had dinner there with my mother. Nice service. Map was a bit confusing because almost everything is labeled soul, but it wasn't bad. Food was very tasty. The homemade Habsburg sauce on the burger was my highlight.

Wide selection of drinks (higher price after 8 PM). Nice to sit outside in summer. Try the asian bowl!
