We arrived late but we were greeted with a smile and seated immediately. We ate the best ravioli ever and really felt all the warmth of the nice couple who owns the restaurant. They even brew their own limoncello and other liqueurs! Fantastic!!!

Great hospitality! The staff is super nice and you feel really welcome! You won't experience something like this anywhere else :) The food is fantastic!! Delicious risotto selection, tagliatelle Vesuvio etc.! What you also shouldn't miss is the game season and be sure to try the homemade limoncello, which you can also buy to enjoy at home or as a great souvenir to give as a gift!

found in passing I ate an excellent char accompanied by very tasty vegetables and potatoes. My friend chose a plate of spaghetti with mussels and couldn't finish it because it was so plentiful! The chef is super nice and very friendly. Thanks for the experience!

After a long walk, we decided to get something to eat. I ordered spaghetti peperoncino and I enjoyed every bit of it. (This simple dish is hard to find in America, it's a pretty standard menu in Japan) My husband ordered Risotto Alla carbonara, he was happy with his food as well. We are pretty full but the waitress told us, they have homemade tiramisu, we had to try it. We got one to share, The portion was a good size and it was perfect for us to share. And it was delicious too. We loved it.

A must- visit place. We went on a rainy Sunday for lunch with your 2 year old on our drive back to Zurich. The food was outstanding 💕. We had the tomato soup and the house soup. Both delicious and creamy. Then we had 2 types of risotto. You can choose small or large portions. The best risotto I’ve ever had. It was served from the cheese block onto our plate (as in the picture). The coffees came with catuccinis on the house. The service was beyond friendly, the place was cosy and toilets very clean. Just a fantastic experience to eat there. We’ll definitely go back. Next time I’ll try to local meats that were the specials of the day.

All rooms are way too loud. Very very bad acoustics. Portions extremely small (far too little)

Update October 2022: We went back again to enjoy the cooking skills of the chef of this great restaurant. This time as a starter a tuna carpaccio, wild boar fillet and a deer entrecote. Dessert lemon and mango sorbet for my wife and I had an ice cream with the flavors pistachio, nuts and chocolate. Extremely good quality of fresh products and great taste and presentation. September 2022: We received a wonderful culinary treat tonight. The welcome was very warm and it felt like we were regular guests even though it was our first time here. The game season has started and we had the Nussli salad beforehand. A lamb's lettuce in an iceberg lettuce leaf with bacon and chanterelles. Then a deer sirloin steak and a chamois sirloin steak. With red cabbage, Brussels sprouts, spaetzle and a delicious sauce with chanterelles. Delicious and very tender meat. The service is very attentive and friendly. It gave me the impression that this was a family business because the cooperation between them runs so smoothly, but this is not the case. The chef is Italian, and you immediately notice that in the preparation and presentation of the dishes. Definitely recommended to eat here when you are on your way to the Gotthard Tunnel.

+ delicious food + very friendly service + Restautant is nicely designed + reasonable prices + Restaurant is simple (you don't pay for every bell and whistle and there are two menus to choose from, which probably contributes to the low prices) + Salad and soup are included in the main course + Possibility for a small portion + The waitress asked us after we ate if it had been enough. We replied that it would have been a little tight (because we had already covered 30km by bike and still wanted to ride to Wassen). She then took our plates and we expected to just get more fries. Instead we got the whole main course again (fries, mushroom and meat sauce and vegetables). We were definitely full afterwards. Restaurant is highly recommended, is a nice place for a lunch break before the Gotthard.

Stopped here after passing the Gotthard, in two words, „pleasant surprise“, professional + friendly service, food is great and beautiful decorated on the plate, will make it a regular stop on our way to and from Tuscany.

Entered the terrace in a good mood - left bitterly disappointed. Why? We ordered a cappucino, a tiramisu and a cold drink. After we received the drinks and drank them, we asked for the bill. Lo and behold, we received the tiramisu about 15 minutes late. The waitress insisted on payment, because after all, an order is an order! The next shock came when paying - the small piece of tiramisu was charged at 11.50 SFR. Perhaps this price is normal for a restaurant of this class - but we found it far excessive. The waitress kindly packed us a piece of tiramisu - by the way, it was very tasty, but understandably it had a bitter aftertaste. Given these circumstances, we will visit a different restaurant next time.

The house is a bit old. But the food is extremely fine and fresh. For me one of the top 5 restaurants in the canton of Uri. Also worth mentioning is the friendly and prompt service.

What can I say, Switzerland is certainly expensive but charging prices like that just to take advantage of the situation is unacceptable to me. Paying 9 euros for a liter of water or 11.50 for a tiramisu is ridiculous!

On our way to Lucerne, we stop in this typical restaurant. Welcoming as if we were family. The food was exceptional, especially the dish of the day: beef/pork in mushroom sauce accompanied by the best potatoes we have ever eaten!! Again huge compliments to the chef, greetings from the Romans!

Service unfriendly. Food absolutely inedible, ravioli not fully cooked (most likely from the freezer), taste not at all. Tomato sauce also has no taste! Cook is probably not an expert! Stay away from this restaurant!

After spending the day in the mountains snowshoeing around Arnisee we were pleasantly surprised to stumble onto this little gem. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. It’s been a while since we’ve had such a friendly and wonderful experience.

At Deby and Alessandro, every guest is as warmly welcomed as if they had always been a regular. I passed by by chance, leaving the motorway hungry before crossing the Gotthard to return to Italy. Warm welcome, quick but nice lunch. A special mention to the chef's fried potatoes... I still dream of making them again.

We came to the Hirschen (La Sorpresa) by chance and landed a real lucky hit. The risotto was amazing and was served in a very original way or prepared on site. The dessert was also excellent and beautifully presented. We'll definitely come back.

We were served very, very friendly and ate extremely well. The price-performance ratio is convincing. We were also recommended a top daily menu that we were very happy to order. The offerings on the menu are very varied and yet still manageable. There is something that suits everyone. The ambience looks very inviting even from the thoroughfare. We were passing through and spontaneously stopped when we saw the Hirschen restaurant with its spacious terrace and the attractive and inviting “flower-decorated facade”. There are also enough parking spaces available.
