I don’t rate restaurants frequently, but this one deserves five stars. I may have been famished after a hike in the Alps, but the quality of food and wine here was second to none! Cordon bleu was cooked to perfection, with a seasonal twist (poached pear and roasted nuts). I would come out of my way to dine here again. It’s nestled in a beautiful valley of the Alps. Bravo!

On the way to Rosenlaui we spontaneously stopped here for lunch and were pleasantly surprised by the menu and the service. The dishes were all delicious and of high quality. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and the service is super friendly. The prices are also very fair for the quality offered. Now we know where we will eat next time we go to Rosenlaui. Full marks 😉👍

They serve usual coffee, tea, some food, but it's not the goal to go here. Atmosphere of the place is super. You have a wonderful view on mountains from any window. There is a parking for private cars.

I stopped here for lunch before my planned photo bike tour from Rosenlaui to Grosse Scheidegg and back yesterday afternoon. For a mountain restaurant, my filet of deer as well as the choices of wine were surprisingly good and service was impeccable. Despite the end of season approaching, the restaurant remains the only one still being open along this mountain road connecting Meiringen to Grindelwald

Nice stopover in the beautiful Rosenlauital - for cyclists, hikers, bus and car drivers. Particularly fine cake.

Very cozy mountain restaurant. We were warmly welcomed by the host family and immediately felt at home. There is a short menu with hearty, very fine dishes at moderate prices. I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back when I get the chance.

It's just wonderful... the chef, with the super-fine dishes adapted to the seasons, the landlady with a big heart and friendly service, the beautiful sun terrace and the cozy restaurant inside... Always worth a stop!

This restaurant was the best place to stop on the way from Grindelwald to Meiringen. The sandwich was delicious, the french fries - perfect. And the prices were very good, especially given the high quality of the food and the fantastic service.

There is no way around it and the stop is mandatory! Beautifully and gently renovated...it is and remains the "Sageli"👍
